My guest this week, Linda Crill, used the skills she honed helping corporations through these transitions to get herself past a crisis and recreate her passion for life. Author, speaker, and corporate change coach, Linda found her road leading her in a direction she would have sworn she would never go.   Just 30 days after first sitting on a motorcylce, she was off on a 10-day, 2,500-mile ride up and down the northwest Pacific coast. Lindsay Luterman has five books in print, The Escape trilogy, the novella 91 Days, which comes from the trilogy, and Mercy's Sunset.  The first four were self-published, but they drew so much attention to her that a publisher picked her up for the fifth one.  Lindsay is 19.  She started The Escape series when she was 14.  Oh, she writes poetry, too. Needless to say, she is beyond her years in many respects.  Her writing does not sound like that of a child.  It is coherent and logical, the story arc is clean, with no loose ends, and it's interesting.  She talks to us about her writing and about what's next for her.

There are all kinds of articles citing studies that show kids involved in sports do better in school, are more likely to get into a good college, and have been life skills than kids who don't.  The few articles I read that said otherwise, if you looked at them carefully, what they were complaining about was the coach, not the play.   Jerry Seidman was a high school and middle school coach in Montgomery County schools for 35 years. He coached football, wrestling, softball, and, of course, soccer. He saw the benefits first hand to all kids. That's what he's going to talk to us about.
