Herb Newsome was a career Air Force officer in charge of Procurement.  Buying things.  Sounds pretty mundane, right?  Wrong.  There's a lot in his resume I don't understand, but the guy's been everywhere, done everything, and won all the awards for it.  For instance, he managed design and construction of housing on Air Force bases around the world.  He designed methods and programs that are still in use today.  Retired from the Air Force, he was asked to teach Purchasing, Manufacturing Policy, Cost Estimating, and Engineering Economy for Southern Illinois University's European Division, in England and Germany.  In England, he helped the government bid on many commercial services and won every contract. Herb is a fellow of the British Institute of Management.  He is also associated with the British Institute of Purchasing and Supply, and the National Contract Management Association. And he's been a member of the Institute for Supply Managementsince 1996.
