Cheap Tuesday

One year ago, we took these two people to see "Divergent", they had not met before. Something sparked between them. One year later they have more than met, they have even kissed! We catch up on how their year has been together, oh yeah and we watch the new Divergent movie. 

It was a lovely day in Dunedin, so we went to see this South African movie about a Robot learning to love. We took actual human Hamish Parkinson along for the ride!

It's our fiftieth! Our half century! We celebrated by taking no-one to see this nonsensical movie about dragons and Jeff Bridges and a staff and I can't remember.

Three medium aged guys find themselves two hours closer to death after watching the latest grey-dollar chasing old-com, The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.

We get super baffled by this batshit new Sci-Fi movie from The Wachowskis. We also talk restaurants, mongoose/snake politics, beauty cream, space iPads, and play out the highest budget Pitch The Sequel yet.

We invited real-life Valentines Joseph Harper and Alex Casey to see the most romantic movie of the year. They had already seen it, obviously, so we all went separately and the whole experience was almost as much of a clusterf**k as this bloody movie. 

We met Melanie aka @meladoodle for the first time when she did her first Cheap Tuesday a few months ago. Now we are IRL friends. What a beautiful story. This movie was pretty funny and enjoyable, so we mainly talk about IMDb and other stuff. CONTENT WARNING: lots of talk about butt stuff. V blue.

We take two guys who have spent an entire year watching Grown Ups 2 every week to an entirely different movie! This episode features too much singing, a terrible Johnny Depp impression, conspiracy theories, and a lengthy debate about whether or not they had cellphones in fairytale times.

Who is Mortdecai? What is Mortdecai? We take Paul and Rose to try and figure out who the hell this dude is and why Johnny Depp is in a movie about him. Couple of sound issues in this one, annoying, but not as unbearable as the movie "Mortdecai".

We recorded this a couple of weeks ago and forgot to release it. Nic is sunny Vanuatu this week so here it is as a treat! We talk about Sunday School, Christian Bale yelling, colons in movie titles, and what constitutes a lisp. 

After a wonderful summer of not seeing any movies, we are back for 2015! This week we "take" Hamish Parkinson to see Taken 3.

The most important NZ Film series reaches it's dramatic conclusion, and is then discussed on New Zealand's least important podcast with special guest Guy Williams

Three grown men went to a movie for children. Afterwards we talk at length about philosophy, death, white privilege, and Brendon's sad life.

We get our eyes ready for water to fall out of them, it's Cheap Tuesday's first Nicholas Sparks movie! Our guest this week is Louise Beuvink, who we sure hope doesn't die in a cheap twist before the end of the podcast.

Gosh we were not ready for this one. Three cool young dudes go and see a very violent and distressing movie together on a public holiday, and then hold eachother afterwards and say everything is going to be all right.

Creak.......    Creak..... Creak...... BAAAH! We took Hamish Parksinson to see this year creepiest movie about creepy doll. (and demons!)

It is a beautiful day in Auckland city, Elle is visiting from Wellington, so we make her spend her afternoon in a cinema in a mall watching lots of smelly boys in the future try to figure out a maze.
