Venari Hallerman (Rogue Trader) – John Kynnoch (Navigator) – Jesse Jarnan Morgun (Missionary) – Jon Emmaus Kore (Void Master) – Kevin GM – Neil The crew is back on the Heretics Bane discussing their current course of action. Emmaus expresses some concern about over extending our reach while Jarnan appears to be on board if the demon blood can be used for the good of the Imperium. Darius Adolium, the old tech priest, has been able to provide logistical information in regards to the operation but doesn’t have access to any of the financial information. With Somnius dead, everyone turn slowly to look at Kynnoch, the obvious place to look is on Somnius’s shuttle. Bearing that in mind, Venari has Tim brought to the surface so that he can try and override the shuttles defenses. In the meantime, Venari reaches out to Explorator Tallentrax via his choir to relate current events. Tallentrax says to return immediately to discuss the situation further. Salvius Horatious – Keeper Chad Iavolenus Tertius (Gladiator) – Bill Lucius Marius (Centurion) – John GM – Oscar Upon arriving in Raetia the investigators make their way to the Villa of Dulius Costa and are made welcome. They avail themselves of the baths and are joined at length by Dulius himself. He explains that Melipa and the child died during the birth and that the room was sealed immediately after. He is concerned that the gods maybe offended and wants the investigators to find out what has happened so they can make the appropriate sacrifices. Dulius says that his house is at their disposal and that he will have the midwife and her daughter brought in after supper. The midwife tells the same story and says that Melipa didn’t want to be examined and spent much of her time wandering outside the village. The midwife’s daughter Nann seems uncomfortable so they question her separately. Nann says she was friends with Melipa and that they were like sisters. She confesses that the child was born a

Edward explains that a Doctor Hoffman at Indiana University has been researching Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation and that one of the research subjects committed suicide. The organization found her reddit post where she talked about seeing strange entities that appeared to be from the outer dark. Simply put, the mission is to grab all the research, computers and equipment ensuring the doctor won't be able to continue his research. Edward makes his case and laying his cards on the table tells them that the pocket dimension that the town is in was once a part of Carcosa. Edward promises to share as much information as he may but even though he has their best interests at heart, if the need arises he would sacrifice them if he must for the good of humanity. Jack Nash – John (Prime) Reggie Carlisle – John (Beta) GM- Tod Foley Nash and Reggie take Tom and Lil’ Kim on the return mission to Drir. The jump goes smoothly enough and Nash transfers the completed genetic program into D.A.N. The plan is to run scans every hour and try and draw the mimics to the viadome and make an easy snatch and grab. The scans do indeed draw in the mimics it turns out it won’t be that easy. The team winds up chasing the dog mimic deep into the forest coming very close to a large mass of mimic material. They are able to net on fairly easily but while trying to make good on their escape they are set upon by waves of mimics breaking off from the main mass. Nash is eventually able to secure a head sized mass and the team is able to make it back to the ship. The jump home is no problem but as they exit the ship there is a klaxon blaring and a voice over the loudspeaker says that Scilla is trapped in the Universal Chao and they are looking for volunteers to go get her back. http://da

Bento assures them that if their last mission had not ended with the discovery of five bodies Blanche would have contracted them anyway to try and turn a profit on Drir. Nash and Reggie still bristle at the fact that they feel Blanche played fast and loose with the facts. Nash's life runs along at a pretty even keel between work and being Scilla's boy toy. Reggie stays mostly out of sight as he delves deeper and deeper into his own head. In fact Reggie is loosing touch with reality and it's beginning to affect the world around him, especially at his apartment as Nash comes to find out. They eventually decide to make good on Bento's promise to Blanche. He is able to sense a void on the lowest level of the mausoleum so they head down. Venari has the servo skull, Kayne, check records to see if he can match the tech priest to any known ID. The elevator opens into a massive crypt. Jarnan notices that some of the iconography has been changed from, "The Emperor sees all", to "We are the Unseen". There's light emanating from underneath an ornate set of double doors and the crew enters discovering an armless, legless demon chained in the center of the room. Venari Hallerman (Rogue Trader) – John Kynnoch (Navigator) – Jesse Jarnan Morgun (Missionary) – Jon Emmaus Kore (Void Master) – Kevin GM – Neil In the lull following the near death of two of the crew, Venari has his servo skull Kayne, connect with one of the downed servitors. They appear to have been augmented by the Adeptus Mechanicus but they are decidedly unconventional. Kynnoch doesn't detect any warp presence on the servitors but there still a warp presence in the mausoleum. Jarnan examines the iconography of the crypt but doesn't note anything that seems out of place and Emmaus doesn't find anything that would appear to be of xenos origin. Kynnoch gets bored and decides to toss the corpse of on e of the servitors down the lift shaft and it fall for a while before splattering. Unsurprisingly this elicits a response from whoever is in the lower reaches of the crypt. Everyone scatters except for Jarnan who, stands off to the side of the lift doors. Jef - Marcus (apothecary) Byron - Sabina (courtesan) Vince - Denicus (Engineer) John - Lucius (centurion) With their mission (and various side missions) made clear the investigators wait until late in the evening and enter the house of Dexius Latinius. Unfortunately not the stealthiest bunch, as they make their way into the son's old room they are attacked by the dog who has been modified in a most horrific way. The dog is covered in cogs and clockworks with plates and crystals screwed and otherwise attached to it. They quickly put the dog out of its misery, as it appears that it could not be saved. Moving into the main house Denicus and Lucius make for the father’s room while Sabina and Marcus move further in. Upon entering the old man’s room he stirs and charges. Lucius is able to easily incapacitate the old man but while doing so the clockwork jay begins moving on it’s own. Denicus hurls his spear at it knocking it down and they are able to smash it. Our investigators work for the Army of Metellius, fighting in the Shadow War. Their contact is the spirit of Metellius and he tells them that there is a disturbance in Crete in the House of Dexius. Things are in flux and happening quickly and investigators must go immediately. When they arrive and begin asking around about House Dexius, they are given an invite to meet at House Barrius at sundown. Sabina finds out that House Barrius is tied to House Dexius by marriage. When they arrive at House Dexius they are met by the two sons and daughter of Dexius Latinus. The children fear their father has been bewitched by a mysterious engineer who gave him a clockwork bird toy that he claims can predict the future. Jack Crandall – Brett Randy Anders – Kurt Erin Shaughnessy – John GM – Neil Delphine and her brother aren’t in the ballroom so they head up to the Duke’s room. Jack tells her that they want to do the ritual tonight before anything else happens. He also asks for her true name as a kind of insurance. She is surprised but agrees and whispers it to Jack. Matthew, the cultist, works as a bellhop and Delphine indicates that he takes smoke breaks outside. She says that her group can grab him and bring him to the boat house and that Jack, Randy and Erin should go there and wait. About a half and hour later Delphine, the Duke along with 6 other devils/demons show up. Delphine explains the ritual and guides Jack though it as Erin records everything. There’s a lot of San loss but the ritual works and the portal is warded against the beings from the outer dark. Jack Crandall – Brett Randy Anders – Kurt Erin Shaughnessy – John GM – Neil Erin, Randy and Jack debate the relative merits of sacrificing a cultist to close the portal versus just blowing it up as Edward instructed. Jack is all for the sacrifice hoping that the devils will become useful allies. It would also prevent them from coming after the group if they found another way out of hell. Randy is opposed to it because no matter how you look at it, it’s still murder. Even if it is an evil cultist. Erin is vacillating back and forth. Randy, at Jack’s prodding, reaches out to Lady Branwynn to see if there is a way to open another portal. She says that there isn’t another “thin” place that is close by that would allow for another portal but she does offer another suggestion. Complete the ritual and go to Carcosa and blow up the portal on that side. Everyone balks at that plan. Then Randy has a change of heart and agrees that they should sacrifice the cultist, Matthew. Jack Nash – John (Prime) Reggie Carlisle – John (Beta) GM- Tod Foley When Reggie and Nash are reunited with the rest of the Loose Guns, Julio tells them he has a working prototype for the simulator of “For Hoom the Bell Tolls”. Reggie had asked him to try and come up with a program that simulates the psychic attack of the Hoom. Julio indicates that the program is not calibrated but Nash agrees to try it out and Reggie tells him to turn it up to 11. The program has a randomizer and the team finds themselves on an icy plain that is also on fire and a large U shaped worm headed towards them. While the team performs admirably, Duke goes down again and winds up with broken ribs. As they’re exiting the simulator Bento comes in and puts the kibosh on the project indicating that maybe they could revisit it later. In the meantime they have a meeting with Blanch Reggerty of X Investments. Blanche brings up Contingency Plan B, which Bento explains is a side deal he made to bring back a sample of a mimic. Blan
