The resurrection of Jesus Christ was a magnificent display of the Goodness of God toward us. Both the events of the resurrection as well as the results of the resurrection all scream God incredible goodness to us who believe. Christ is risen! He is risen indeed!

While Good Friday was the worst day of human history, the day that Jesus Christ gave Himself up for us, it was the greatest display of the goodness of God as well. Christ died to save us, to absorb the wrath of God poured out on all unrighteousness. God is Good!

God is good, all the time...all the time, God is Good! Easy to say but more difficult when called to live through difficult and stinky times in our lives. As we examine this passage in Acts we see that even in the bad time, God is always abundantly good.

Our God is a Holy God. He is perfect, set apart and Holy in all His ways. What an incredible privilege we have to know this God even a little bit, to be loved by Him and to be purchased by Him through the Cross of Christ, the greatest display of His holiness.

As Paul continued in the temple finishing the Nazarite vow he had taken, a group of religious extremists tried to have him killed. Fortunately for Paul there was a garrison of Roman soldiers close by. So how did Paul respond to them? Did he try to defend himself and prove they were wrong? Nope! He shared with them his own personal testimony of how God had radically changed his life!

As Paul finally arrives in Jerusalem we find an interesting scene...Paul, some guys on a Nazarite Vow and the leadership of the church in Jerusalem. In the end, this passages speaks to unity in the church. Is it important? You bet!!

As Paul's 3rd Missionary journey draws to a close, we find an interesting dynamic playing itself out. Everyone knows that imprisonment and affliction await Paul in Jerusalem and some are stating in the Spirit that Paul should not go there. Yet Paul, being bound in the Spirit, is heading to Jerusalem. He knows it's where God wants him to go. How about us? What are we in bondage to?

In this passage of Acts, Paul is saying a final farewell to the Elders from the Church in Ephesus. As we listen to what he says, we can see the Paul was totally committed to People, Teaching, the Gospel, the Church and hard Work. What a great example

While everything in our lives change, the only thing we can trust to never change is our God. Our God, His character, His truth, His Word never change. Thank God that because he never changes, we CAN change!

As Paul continues on his third missionary journey Dr. Luke records his various movements and the incident in Troas when young Eutychus fell out the window during a long night of Paul's preaching. In this passage we can see Paul's heart of ministry summed up in Four Words.

The Riot at Ephesus does more than just reveal to us the opposition that Christianity faced in Ephesus. It also helps us to to the motivation of the hearts of several characters in the story. Question is...what is the motivation of your heart?

Acts 19 begins with several very weird stories that make you scratch your head. However, what we find is that these stories make much of the power of God...a power that cover comes all obstacles and powers including the rebellion of the human heart. Indeed, we served the The God of Power.

The God we serve, love and worship is the Supreme God of Sovereignty. This means that he can do what He pleases, when He pleases, as He pleases. What a great topic to meditate on and learn about this morning.

Does God care about the purity of the Church and our lives? Absolutely! How then will the church deal with sin when it becomes known to them? In Matthew 18 and Galatians 6 we find guidance on how to proceed in keeping the Church pure.

Continuing on from part 1, we continue to examine the reasons why we believe that the Bible we hold in our hands is the truth of God, for us today, without error. We can trust it!!

In our quest to grow in our knowledge of God, we must be sure we are getting the right puzzle pieces. The Bible is our one and only source of these puzzle pieces of God. Can we fully trust the Bible? Absolutely!!

God knows all things. Past, present, future...every possibility and every contingency. His knowledge is not just facts, but His knowledge is personal, intimate and caring. What an amazing God we serve.
