Duke is joined by Cazzer and friend of the show, Jake Barber. The sporty pizza pod club discuss WINS and the development of sexy Garner-ball.Caz is seriously impressed with Dave Tutonda and Jake has plenty of superlatives for Josh Hare, who have both looked very good on their respective wings. We are all pleasantly surprised by Daly's first goal for the club and we dissect the whole of the incisive move that came moments after Jaakkola was picking the ball out of his net. A special mention for Josh Grant with his pass out to Hare, but did he mean it though? There's not much sympathy for Michael Appleton's post-match saltiness, though Duke thinks Ehmer should have conceded a penalty in the first half, but does he care? Does he heck?!We also look out our latest transfer news with youngsters Mehew, Tomlinson and Phillips being told they can go out on loan, with Tomlinson and Phillips securing moves to Bath City and Chippenham Town respectively. We also see Kyle Bennett move to Grimsby until the end

  • A CHAT WITH: Anwar Uddin

    29/09/2020 Duración: 01h22min

Duke is joined Anwar Uddin to talk about his fascinating and varied career, both past and present. From playing youth football for West Ham with the likes of Rio Ferdinand, he then moved to Sheffield Wednesday which ended prematurely after the collapse of ITV Digital left Wednesday in financial trouble. Wednesday's loss was Rovers gain as Anwar made the journey to North Bristol. This was after John Still used his persuasive skills to assure Anwar that Rovers were heading in a better direction than *checks notes* Swansea City. Anwar got the first team football he so craved at Rovers and loved his time in the city, however a horrific injury meant his Rovers career was cut short after only 19 league appearances. He shares tales of how he got involved in the local community whilst on the side-lines and tells us about his times rooming with The Latvian. We look at his time at Dag & Redbridge where he captained the side and was involved in two promotions - including reaching League One on a shoestring budg

They discuss Phil Parkinsons post match comments and if this was time wasting or streetwise 'game management'.The return of Ansii between the sticks made a huge difference, with a string of saves. Is he the best Rovers keeper ever? They look at Hanlan and how he has slotted into a front three. Will he be able to lead the line or will the Gas need to get another striker in before the transfer window opens?Lastly they look ahead to Saturdays game against Ipswich and give their predictions for a game that we can only hope goes better than at Portman Road. Finally a shout out to our sponsor Kahuna flooring, who supply and fit all types of flooring for your home or workplace. 11/09/2020 Duración: 38min

Mets caught up with Matthew Davis aka Mavis, Nathan Hallett-Young and Natty Coles from the GasGirls. After their 2019/20 season was declared null and void the girls find themselves back where they started 12 months ago. This was especially upsetting as they had a 100% record in the league and were only one win away from clinching the title.Nathan explains how he wants the game to be played and this is born out in the attacking football the girls have been playing. This is typified in a resounding 6-0 win against Bristol and West in the WFA cup on Sunday.Resolutely a tracksuit manager, we also get an insight into his music tastes which are truly horrific.Mavis talks about the support the GasGirls have got, not just from the Community Trust, but from the wider Gas community. He also talks about the ethos of the club with no room for homophobia, racism or sexism at its core.Natty talks about what its like captaining the GasGirls and handling the expectation that comes with the badge. She's not afraid to dish

    10/09/2020 Duración: 29min

Duke is joined by Matt from Gills In The Blood to discuss another Rovers capture of a Gillingham player - this time it is 23-year-old forward, Brandon Hanlan.Maybe not the marquee signing that some were expecting but the 23-year-old forward joins the Gas on a two-year deal and has scored 16 goals across 84 appearances for Gillingham. Garner describes Hanlan as a powerful and skilful forward who can both create and score goals who also has the work ethic and energy he wants at the front end of the team.We hear about Hanlan as a player and whether there is more to come from him, including if he will be able to become a prolific bagsman?Matt also gives us the lowdown on what the fee might be and also gives us his thoughts on how Rovers will fare this season as well as giving us some intel on Gillingham.Support the show (https://patreon.com/gascast)

    10/09/2020 Duración: 22min

Caz is joined by Bomber from Roker Report to talk about Rovers' opening league fixture against Sunderland at The Stadium of Light.Rovers have had a shaky start to the season, losing the first two cup matches and conceding 5 goals. Garners new 3-4-3 system is suddenly looking a lot less promising than it did in pre-season. Sunderland were also knocked out of the first round of the Carabao Cup - only just losing out to Hull City on penalties after a 0-0 draw in 90 minutes. They quickly made up for their short goal drought by scoring a colossal EIGHT goals against Aston Villa's U21s in the EFL cup on Tuesday.Bomber touches upon transfers, goal-scorers and what Rovers can generally expect from Phil Parkinson's side this Saturday. Support the show (https://patreon.com/gascast)

The incoming Oli Hawkins has given Ipswich a plan B in terms of style. He discusses the incoming players and the ongoing transfer saga with Flynn Downes who will not be lining up on Saturday.Support the show (https://patreon.com/gascast)
