Part 54 - SERIES: Lionman of Judah Jesus tells a parable of a farmer going out to sow seed in his field. As he sows, the seed lands on 4 different types of soil. A hard path, rocky ground, among thorns, and on good soil. Jesus compares the seed with his Word and the soil with our hearts. What kind of soil are you? Has the gospel truly taken root in your life? (This message also includes Jesus' interaction with his family just prior to his telling of this parable.)

Easter Sunday 2016 Jesus makes a number of claims about himself. This week we look at eight big ones, and challenge you to answer for yourself, "Who do you say that he is?"

Part 53 - SERIES: Lionman of Judah Jesus continues his interactions with the Scribes and Pharisees when they come looking for a sign from him. The only sign he offers is the "sign of Jonah". Jesus declares himself to be a greater prophet than Jonah, a greater king than Solomon, and earlier in chapter 12 a greater priest than any in the Temple. No one is greater than Jesus! Will you follow him?

Part 52 - SERIES: Lionman of Judah Jesus makes it clear that every sin and every blasphemy of men and women will be forgiven if they turn to him in faith. However, he also warns that there is one sin that will not and cannot ever be forgiven. Jesus then compares our spiritual lives to that of a tree, and we see that we can know whether or not we've truly been forgiven by him by looking at the fruit our lives produce. Do you want to produce good fruit? Don't hang it on a dead tree, turn to Jesus, be made alive, and then "tend the tree".

Part 51 - SERIES: Lionman of Judah Jesus’ ministry (and Christianity) has done more to advance the status and honor of women than anything else in history. This week we see Jesus serving alongside women in ministry. He is willing and excited to welcome and use anyone who would turn to him in faith.

Part 50 - SERIES: Lionman of Judah A Pharisee named Simon invites Jesus to his home for a meal. While they are there, a woman of the city shows up and begins weeping and anointing Jesus' feet with her perfume. While Simon displays contempt for the woman, Jesus recognizes her genuine love for him while noticing Simon's lack of affection for him. Like the woman, we have been forgiven much. When we remember this, it results in greater and deeper love for God.

Part 49 - SERIES: Lionman of Judah Jesus pronounces some intense warnings to those who would observe his ministry and miracles but never repent and trust him. Our response to his kindness should be repentance. Everyone is called to Jesus and called to repentance, but only some will respond. And those who do will enter into his rest.

Part 48 - SERIES: Lionman of Judah Jesus tells a short parable to describe the religious people of his day. Essentially, he said they were acting like spoiled brats. They were childish and rejected Jesus. True faith seeks Jesus in a childlike way in its trust, obedience, humility, innocence, and imitating Jesus.

Part 47 - SERIES: Lionman of Judah Jesus gives what amounts to a eulogy of John the Baptizer in Luke 7:24-30. He asks the people what they went into the wilderness to see when they saw John preach. In the same way, we're challenged on what we come to see every Sunday. Are you prioritizing your time with God and your church family? Do you come expecting to encounter Jesus and be changed by God's power?Jesus gives what amounts to a eulogy of John the Baptizer in Luke 7:24-30. Part 46 - SERIES: Lionman of Judah Doubt is and always has been an issue for those who believe in Jesus Christ. In all but one case, every time the New Testament speaks of someone doubting God or their faith, it is speaking of believers. This week we'll look at John the Baptizer's doubt, and common causes of our own doubt. When you find yourself in doubt, what do you do?

Part 45 - SERIES: Lionman of Judah On his way to Nain, Jesus encounters a widow in the midst of a funeral procession for her only son. Incredibly, he demonstrates his power over death by raising him from the dead. In this encounter we see that Jesus sees our need, he cares about us deeply, and he initiates on our behalf for our ultimate good.

Part 44 - SERIES: Lionman of Judah There's only one person in the New Testament that is said to have amazed Jesus. Well, to have amazed him in a GOOD way! Many people amazed Jesus by their lack of faith and refusal to believe him, but this week we meet a man, a Roman Centurion of all people, who wowed Jesus in a good way – because of his faith. Your position, pedigree, people you know, and good works do not impress Jesus or earn you salvation. Only true faith does.

Part 4 - SERIES: Christmas According to Isaiah Martin Luther called it the "Wondrous Exchange", where we give Jesus our sin and guilt, and he gives us his righteousness and makes us clean. Since it's Christmas, this week we're calling it "the Gift Exchange" as we study Isaiah 53:1-12. We give Jesus our sin, he gives us his life. The only question is if you'll receive his gift.

Part 3 - SERIES: Christmas According to Isaiah In Isaiah 9:6-7 we get a glimpse into who this promised one is going to be. Jesus, the child born and the Son given, is fully human, fully God, and will fix everything.

Part 2 - SERIES: Christmas According to Isaiah God shows grace to those in darkness, through Jesus, without limit. Salvation is by grace alone, all God’s idea, and Jesus does it all! Isaiah 9:1-7

Part 1 - SERIES: Christmas According to Isaiah This year for Advent we're looking at prophecies about Jesus from the prophet Isaiah. This week we study Isaiah 7:14 and see that Jesus comes as a sign, in humility, and to be with us.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ stands securely upon four pillars found in Romans 1:16-17: Power, Salvation, Faith, and Righteousness.

Every human being has three universal needs of their heart. We all need to have a sense of belongingness, worth, and competence. All of these are fulfilled only in Jesus Christ.

Part 10 – SERIES: The Story In the new heaven and the new earth, we will live in perfect harmony and intimacy with our Creator—and with each other. Those who trust Jesus will one day see him face to face and be with God forever.
