Part 25 - SERIES: Lionman of Judah Jesus returns to his hometown of Nazareth as God’s Spirit-Anointed Messiah. He has authority to release the humble and reject the proud.

Part 24 - SERIES: Lionman of Judah Jesus heals an official's son, and this man demonstrates real faith. He believes Jesus' word, he acts upon it, despite how he might have felt, because Jesus keeps every promise he makes.

Part 23 - SERIES: Lionman of Judah Jesus heads north to Galilee to avoid getting arrested by the Pharisees and passes through Samaria. While there he meets an woman bearing a lifetime of shame for things she had done and for things done to her. Jesus enters into her shame, offers life, and removes her shame forever.

Part 22 - SERIES: Lionman of Judah John the Baptizer is a great example of a man who had his identity rooted firmly in Jesus Christ. He understood who Jesus is, who he was, and what his role was (how to live) in light of that.

Part 21 – SERIES: Lionman of Judah While Jesus is in Jerusalem for Passover, Nicodemus (a Pharisee and member of the Sanhedrin) comes to him at night. Jesus challenges Nicodemus' religious orientation of life and confronts him with the simplicity of the Gospel and God's grace. To be saved you must be "born again from above", and this only happens by turning and looking upon Jesus.

Part 20 – SERIES: Lionman of Judah Jesus was passionate about and consumed with obeying his Father's agenda. So passionate, in fact, that on two occasions he clears out the Temple! It begs the question, what are you passionate about? What consumes you? Which are you more passionate about: your own agenda or Jesus' agenda?

Part 19 – SERIES: Lionman of Judah Jesus is very intentional about building relationships. He targets and invites people into his life, he listens and understands their life, and he shows genuine care, bringing joy into their life all so that they might know his love and put their trust in him. We'll see Jesus do that this week at a wedding. Who are you inviting into your life to see Jesus?

Part 18 – SERIES: Lionman of Judah The first challenge Jesus makes in his ministry is for people to "come and see". He invites people into his life to spend time with him, get to know him, and learn from him. It's a call to friendship. Who are you inviting to "come and see" Jesus in your life?

Part 17 – SERIES: Lionman of Judah John answers two questions that every one of us must answer: 1) Who are you? – Are you achieving your identity (religion) or receiving it (gospel)? 2) Who is Jesus? – Your answer to this questions will change your answer to the first question.

Part 16 – SERIES: Lionman of Judah Satan, the "Father of Lies" attacks in two ways: 1) He causes us with a lie. 2) He tempts us to believe a lie. Jesus models for us the strategy to endure and overcome Satan's attacks: 1) Expose his lies with the truth of God's Word. 2) Believe and obey the truth.

Part 15 – SERIES: Lionman of Judah We get baptized to identify ourself with Jesus. Jesus was baptized to identify himself with sinners. At Jesus' baptism we get the clearest picture in all of Scripture of the Trinity. We're called to image God's Trinitarian nature by being in meaningful community with other Christians.

Part 14 – SERIES: Lionman of Judah John's message was powerful and came in two parts: 1) Repent. 2) Bear fruits in keep with repentance. Having repented, are you tending to your life so that you would bear much fruit? Or are you a fraud who's never truly repented and is simply hanging false fruit from your tree?

Part 13 – SERIES: Lionman of Judah Jesus said that John was the greatest of all the prophets. He was sent by God to prepare the way for and point people to Jesus. In the same way, each one of us is sent by God to point people to Jesus.

Part 12 – SERIES: Lionman of Judah Do you know the story of John Mark? Mark was the author of the Gospel of Mark and was mentored by 3 of the most influential men in the history of the Christian Church: Peter, Barnabas, and Paul. Mark's life is one marked failure, repentance, obedience, and legacy.

Part 11 – SERIES: Lionman of Judah Luke 2:41-52 shows that Jesus was already beginning to grasp his true identity and purpose as a 12-year-old. But it didn’t happen by accident. There were a number of things he did that helped him to discover God’s will for his life, and we can follow his example. .

Part 10 – SERIES: Lionman of Judah Herod the Great was an insecure king with an ego that drove him to constant self-preservation, even to the point of slaughtering innocent children. Sadly, the slaughter of innocents continues today through abortion. Millions of unborn children are murdered by modern day "Herods" looking to preserve their own kingdoms and comfort. We resemble Herod to some degree or another, preserving our own comfort, and we all need to repent and turn to Jesus.

Part 9 – SERIES: Lionman of Judah Jesus would have been a toddler at the time a group of “wise men” from the east showed up at his mother’s door to worship the boy born as King of the Jews. Their journey was costly and the gifts they brought were incredibly valuable. Herod the Great (appointed by Rome to rule in that region as “King of the Jews”) was troubled by their arrival when he learned that a threat to his throne had been born nearby. But Jesus’ mother, Mary, would have experienced their arrival as an incredible expression of God’s grace and steadfast love. (Matthew 2:1-12)

Part 8 – SERIES: Lionman of Judah Joseph & Mary's obedience to God affected Jesus' obedience, just as any parent's obedience affects their children's obedience. When dedicating Jesus at the temple, they run in to Simeon and Anna, both full of the Holy Spirit.

Part 7 – SERIES: Lionman of Judah The virgin birth of Jesus Christ is a foundational tenant of biblical Christianity. In it we see that 1. Jesus is like us, 2. Jesus is unlike us, and 3. Jesus came to make us like him.
