Now a lot of things are good to die. Snakes are good to die in my opinion. Cancer is good to die. Germs are good to die. In war it’s good for our enemies to die. Paul is was good for Him to die and be with Jesus but better for them if he stayed. Christians are either Growing or dying and you can’t keep dying in your Christian life. That is never any good.

Justice means making the wrong things right. We all demand justice when we are wronged. But what about God? Does He deserve justice for our sin against His goodness and love? We just cast His rule aside, His demands aside, His requirements aside and have chosen to deliberately sin against Him. We have robbed Him of His glory! This is evidence that demands a verdict. The verdict on mankind is this. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. The wages of sin is death. The soul that sinneth it should die. Justice is demanded for the God who created us, loved us, gave us, provided for us and has blessed us. He has done no evil against us…..ever! We have brought all our bad upon ourselves. We are in big trouble. Let’s look at our passage this morning. Four words I want us to look at this day.

Have I now become your enemy by telling you the truth? So have I become your enemy by telling you the truth? Have you heard of the Enegram? It is a personality typing a sytem has been quietly infiltrating Christian communities for the last quarter century. But some believers may be excused for their skepticism. The Enegram is an ancient system of unknown origin with a strange name. It is replete with sacred language, but is not explicitly Christian in orientation. It centers on nine personality types that are arranged into a chart resembling a pentagram. Yet it is spreading like wildfire in the church.

Titus was one of the circle of young men who were the “many witnesses” to whom the apostle Paul committed the things given to him, so they could pass them on to others who in turn would “teach others also” 2 Tim. 2:2And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. He, together with Timothy, traveled with the apostle Paul. While Timothy was half Jewish and half Gentile, Titus was of purely Gentile, Gal. 2:3 But neither Titus, who was with me, being a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised. Is the rapture a hoax or a hoax? Is it all hype?

On February 4th the President will give the state of the Union address where he reports on how we are doing as a nation. These speeches usually are truthful and honest with some politics thrown in. What if God gave the state of the Union address? What if God gave the State of the World address? Well The prophet Micah gave a state of the world address from God in Micah chapter 7.

Rocks are the most durable things in creation. Rocks contain the ores that make iron and steel and rubies and diamonds. Rocks are everywhere. Big rocks little rocks. The Bible compares Jerusalem to a huge rock. Zechariah 12:3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it. What God has planted is compared to a rock. He built the church upon the rock. Matthew 16:18 …..upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. It’s funny that 2020 means perfect vision in optometry. I think this world has perfect vision of a world without Christ. No one knows what will happen in 2020. But I tell you this……. it only matters if your life is NOT rock solid.

Years ago there was a movie staring George Burns called I think “O God.” George Burns who was an old man at the time in his eighties I believe….was God who decided to come to earth and change the world through a grocery store clerk played by John Denver. It was borderline blasphemous. Why? Who do they think Jesus was? Can’t they read the Bible and see that God has already been here. He was born, He lived, He died for our sins as the innocent Lamb of God, and He rose from the grave in victory over sin, hell, death and the grave! He came as a real man. The God-man. All man, all God! Now he is not here physically but He left His Spirit to indwell the church. So He has never left His church!

Luke 1:33And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. We all have seen the movies and read books about mythical kingdoms in these fantasies about kingdoms that are mysterious and glorious! Oz is one of those. Magical kingdoms are the stuff of every child’s fantasy. But there is a kingdom that will be beyond even the imaginations of these creative authors. It will be a kingdom to end all kingdoms for it shall never end. It is the kingdom of the king, the true king, the real king, the Savior King, the rightful king, the only king!

Have you ever felt abandoned? Many people were abandoned by their mother and father. Abortion is an abandonment I believe. Have you ever been abandoned because of what you believe? Have your friends left you because of your faith in Christ? Has your family abandoned you because of your belief in the Bible? Many of us have experienced abandonment in the spiritual sense. Well our culture is being abandoned by God because we have handed our culture over to godlessness. When someone is sick they have the symptoms. By then if may have progressed to where it is too late to save them. I believe we are already abandoned because of three symptoms already present in the world. It may already be too late for many in the world.

The greatest moment in history was the birth of the Christ child. If He had not been born the He could not have died for our sins and be raised from the dead for our justification. It is the most incredible event in world history. God lived among humans as a human! We have seen many movies and songs about God coming to earth and attempting to answer the question of what would God do if He was one of us? Well we already know what God would do….because He has already done it! He has already come to the earth as a human and we know what He did!

Many times I have been asked about where will the church be when we die? Or where will we be after the rapture. I have the answers from the word of God. To be brief we are going to be totally focused on Christ and His glory and His work. But we are going to be moving around a little bit as God brings us to the new heaven and the New earth and New Jerusalem. There are some things that first have to be accomplished by God.

Here is the question that I want us to consider. We know He is coming back. But when He returns how will he find each of us. Our text suggests 3 ways in which He could find us when He returns.

I cannot tell you the blessings I have had in God’s house. Now we are blessed in many ways and on many days besides Sunday. But if you think about it you have had the majority of your blessings in God’s house. The greatest things in your walk with Christ happen in God’s house. Fellowship, Salvations, baptisms, the Lord’s supper, testimonies, great singing, great hymns, offerings and giving, special singing, special services, Biblical preaching, praying for others, praying together, hugs and hand shakes, meeting and eating and best of all God promised if two or three are gathered together in my name I am in the midst.

We continue on the theme of last week’s message Our Precious Savior. Gold, sliver and other ornamental stones are called “precious” because they are very valuable. What a person calls precious in their life will tell you a lot about them. What is precious to a person is something of great and lasting value. Like our children, our church, our Bibles, our families and our friends. These things forever. A car, a job, a house may be nice and bless us but we would not call it “precious.” That is reserved for the really valuable and eternal. The Bible tells us that Jesus is precious. That says a lot about Him.

There are two over-all views of the end-times prophecies in the Bible: That they are literal and that they are symbolic. The literal view states that the rapture of the church, the seven-year tribulation, and the return and battle of Christ are all real events in our future. Although churches and scholars may agree on these points, there is still considerable debate about timing; specifically the timing of the rapture.

We know that bad times are coming. The weekly newspaper in Letcher County Kentucky is called “Troublesome Creek Times.” We are used to trouble in this life. Not everything goes smoothly but we thank God and because of Him most things go okay. And we know that All things work together for good to those who love God. But troublesome times are coming for this world and the followers of Jesus Christ and the Jewish people.

Paul’s letter to the Romans is his longest letter. In the first seven chapters of Romans Paul writes about how sin is devastating and how Christ has done all the work of salvation. Then we come to Romans 8:1. There is therefore no condemnation in Christ Jesus.” All that believe in Jesus Christ will have eternal life.

If you want to be a great athlete you have go through hard difficult, grueling times of training and practice. If you want to be a champion you have to train like a loser. That means if you want to win you have to be hungry for victory that you will endure anything to taste it. In the Christian life we will experience trial. Jesus said that if they persecuted me, they will persecute you. A Trial then is to be expected, rejoiced in, evaluated and entrusted to God. Thanks to pastor Ken Cayce for this outline.

Paul voices his joy at the reality of resurrection by quoting from (Isaiah 25:8; Hosea 13:14). The latter quotes death as if it were a bee whose sting was removed. That sting was the sin that was revealed by the law of God, but conquered by the death of Christ on the cross and His resurrection. In this season of Halloween in which we are obsessed with death and the devil we need to emphasize that the devil, that old serpent and his curse upon mankind has been defeated forever!

Not many of us think of the book of James and the return of the Lord, the rapture. But it’s right in there in this passage. Actually twice. James talks about the day of the Lord’s return.
