I felt like it was a fitting tribute to the recently passe Peter Mayhew. I recorded a new intro complete with a TROY to Mr. Mayhew.. Today on GeekFest Rants, Carlos and Steve return to recap the highlights from Star Wars Celebration Chicago 2019. This time around we cover the return of The Clone Wars, Hasbro's newest toys, the soon to be open Galaxy's Edge, for our gamers out there - Jedi Fallen Order, and the soon to be premiering Disney+ original show, The Mandalorian.  The films might be taking a little break soon but the Star Wars world is about to get a lot bigger.

Dudes, it's so great and has to be heard to believed! From there we talk about a couple of movies I saw the 1st one was a super weird Sci-Fi flick called High Life. It was nuts and I had a real hard time reviewing it while still keeping the show family friendly.. Then it's on.. what may be the biggest movie of ALL THE TIMES!!! This week on the show IseeRobots goes at it alone as IB13 and Engineer Emily are off on vacation. It's all good though.  On the board and on the mic at the same time ISR starts off with some talk about Rey and Star Wars and about believing in yourself. It's kind of boring but also a litte fun. From there we head into At The Movies and a look at DC's latest flick, Shazam. BITD they used to call him Captain Marvel but with the MCU using that name he's all about SHAZAM! Now, it was a pretty fun flick and we'll talk all about it.  Then for the main event we take a peek at a pro wrestling documentary called 350 days. it was a pick from show patron Javier. The flick takes a look at what it was like on the road for some of wrestling's biggest stars from the days of yore.. At the end we take some text messages and answer some questions. Today on GeekFest Rants we return to our Happy Place... Star Wars toys.  Join Carlos as we take a deep dive into Star Wars concept ship toys.  We'll begin with Galoob's Series Alpha, then to Hasbro Solo additions, and to the Hot Wheels concept Cantwell collection.  When it comes to three dimensional representations of small size concept ships, there are plenty out there to collect.  Then we jump to 1977, to the pre home video days of Star Wars with the Star Wars Movie Viewer.  This is probably the earliest version of being able to watch 40 second clips of the movie at home for an affordable price. No Batteries Needed.

This week on the show we start off with a bit of philosophical talk that get's interrupted by Engineer Emily. She guides us into a discussion on the Christmas party from a few years ago and Fleetwood Mac. Then we talk about Jordan Peele's latest flick US. I thought it was interesting and we'll share some details while still remaining spoiler free. For the main event we talk on my Top 5 Favorite Game Shows of All The Time and Space.. You have good movies and bad movies.  Usually the good movies are the ones you want to re-watch.   But not always.  Today on GeekFest Rants join Carlos and Steve as they go down the list of some very good movies that for different reason, we may not want to see again.  These are film like Schindler's List, The Shining, Glory, Oldboy, and many more. What is it about these good films that might prevent us, or you, from giving them a second viewing?  

This week on the show we start off with a new song from MC Kate and Iceberg 13. He takes on another cooking produce infomercial. The song is called "Kicked Up Hot Dogs" and I think it's pretty great. Thanks Iceberg!  From there we talk about the latest Marvel flick. It's called Captain Marvel, it stars the delightful Brie Larson and Sam Jackson. It was pretty fun and I'll tell you all about it. Then for the main event we head over to The Sac Toy Con where I got up on some GI Joes and had a pretty fun time. Today on GeekFest Rants we are going to take a trip back to a planet ruled by talking apes.  Join Carlos Perrone as he again welcomes back writer Andrew E.C. This week on the show we start off with a tale of our aborted trip to Lake Tahoe and what I did with the week instead of sledding. I saw movies basically. There, I saved you ten minutes. It's a pretty quick breakdown of a lot of different movies. It's that time of the year...New York Toy Fair 2019 time.  The time we get to see all these new cool toys but cannot buy them just yet.  This year we are going Retro in more ways than one.  From Hasbro producing a Retro line of Kenner Star Wars figures, to new additions from Reaction, like They Live and Planet of the Apes.  Plus. look out, The Warriors are coming.  Then we dive into our poster of the month with the 1983, Brian DePalma-Al Pacino classic, Scarface.  We'll look at the design of the poster plus we also examine the movie tie-in novel by Paul Monette. 

This week on the show we start off with a brand new song from DJ Iceberg 13. It's called "Melt That Cheese" and it features a sample from some infomercial Iceberg was watching the other day. It's pretty fun. From there we take a call from Hollywood Agent A.B Silver about Johnny 5's upcoming project. Let's hope that we can find something out. The next segment is At The Movies where we talk about the latest revenge flick from Liam Neeson. It's called Cold Pursuit and I'm gonna tell you guys all about it.
