Sons Of The Renaissance

TGIFull House   In the conclusion to Episode VII, we switch gears and go on a journey to our childhood, when we would gather around the tv on Friday nights for 2 hours of family programming.  I am of course talking about TGIF.  Jon briefly talks about the extinction of the Dinosaurs and we touch on the brilliancy of the legacy of Boy Meets World.  Finally Full House in all its incarnations takes over, where we show some love, and a lot of hate, toward the Tanners.  Enjoy cause there may be a sequel in the works.

We Go Trolling For Clickbait!!!   In the first part of episode VII, the sons discuss such hot button topics, such as the exciting news that Converse is redisigning the Chuck Taylors for the first time in almost 100 years.  We get philosophical on guilty pleasures.  Top Gun 2???  Only with real jets.  Jon talks a bit about Terminator Genesis.  We wax off/wax on 80's cartoons.  The worst movie of all time gets a 3d animated film and it has nothing to do with Harry Potter.  Big Bang Theory finally gets legoized.   Finally space is getting limited.  

Comic-Con, more like Comic Khaaaaaaaaaaaan!!!!!!!!!!   This week, we're joined on our quest by Sir Spencer the artist.  After discussing his backstory and dissecting Lynch, Fincher, and Donnie Darko, we begin our quest through the murky marshes of comic-con.  We begin by going back to the future to gain knowledge of time travel from masters Zemeckis and Gale before heading back to the present.  We walk though the world of warcraft and the land of goosebumps. we get serious about a killer joke and break the first rule by talking about fight club. We fight zombies with Rick and kill deadites with Ash (groovy).  We pitch Victor Frankenstein a buddy creature movie, then we discuss what we would like to see in reality television.  A mysterious man in a trenchcoat comes and saves us from vampires, and we take a look at the future of starfighter.  Finally, we roll a perfect 20 and get to glean wisdom from the nerd kings themselves, Joss Whedon and JJ Abrams.  

Mischief Managed   This time around we get into all kinds of mischief.  Michael starts Game of Thrones, Jonathan starts Batman the 1960 series.  We have a deep talk about math???  We talk a new batch of trailers, and a theater of kids watch the beginning of Insidious 3.  There is fear in a Hellevator.  Michael shares his feelings on marriage, as it is now legal for everyone to get married.  Some idiot thinks that NBC changed to a gay logo.  The twitter world rips EL James a new mouthhole.  FuriousSeven is #3.  Batman gets pulled, Disney bans selfie sticks and we give some shout-outs.  Finally Harry Potter is back and we discuss what we want to see in future Harry Potter novels.

Rated R Nerdstars   This weeks episode covers such a range of topics that you might think why, but then you realize yeah it's us.  Michael talks about his favorite Smashing Pumpkins video as well as a piece of cinematic history.  We discover that Coors Light has added a new ingredient that gives it some pep.   We discuss how incredibly unrealistic the subway scene in "Crocodile" Dundee is.  We get Lost in Transmission, and Lego has a theory about the big bang.  How I Met Your Mother is making us wanna pull out our hair, and Jon gets a little sentimental when Calvin and Hobbs is brought up.  We start prepairing ourselves to come straight outta Compton.  AVGN Adventures makes us want to rage quit, but it is ok because porn is getting a spacelift.  Finally we talk E3 and the biggest surprise and bit of excitment from the expo, The Fractured But Whole. RIP SIR CHRISTOPHER LEE.

Road Trip   This time around the brothers of distruction talk about our trip to Six Flags, then head over to the Outworld to ponder why late adopters in the videogame world keep getting screwed.  Hey there are some great new trailers out there and we disccuss some of them, then we take a trip down Fury Road.  Finally we head to Seattle to discuss why and what it would take to make a true Nirvana bio-pic before landing in Bayside to try and make sense of the crazy mixed up world of Saved By The Bell. 

The Beginning   In this our premier episode, we introduce ourselves, to you our future loyal listeners.  Jonathan talks Big Hero 6 & Goon 2, and Michael confesses to watching Fifty Shades Of Grey.  We make our predictions on Episode VII, as well as discuss the phenomenon of a billion dollars at the box office is becoming the new norm.  Finally we pimp out our YouTube channel, and discouss Cradle of Filth and Guns 'n' Roses (What a weird combo right).  So sit back and enjoy the Sons of The Renaissance.
