2v1 Podcast

Dying Light is dead while a pack of rats devour a corpse, (press Y to screenshot that [there will be a 5 second delay]), but one thing is for certain: the 2v1 Podcast still complains about the Xbox One.

In this week's episode, Nick ventures back in time to August 2007, Alex is as unimpressed as McKayla Maroney with Dying Light, and Josh keeps the group up to speed with some industry news.

In Episode 12, 2v1 collectively considers the possibility of video game drop-rate conspiracies; Nick praises Father-Mother; Alex forgets to silence his Star Trek-themed text alert at 26:04; and Josh talks about a topic that's actually relevant, Assassin's Creed Unity.

You frantically pound your finger into your smart phone, trying to invite your friends into your own digital world. A rogue AI incessantly asks which friend you'd like to invite. The Hololens feels heavy on your head as your vision starts to fade. You awake aboard the Titanic, only no one is around to hear you scream.

2v1 reaches its tenth episode milestone as Alex decides the podcast needs to be canceled, Nick stealthily stumbles upon the shortest video game in existence, and Josh comes to the stunning realization that 343 is the cause of his Destiny addiction.

The holidays are over, and 2015 has arrived. But some things haven't changed, as Alex, Josh, and Nick are still talking about Destiny. Nick has a shocking confession to make, Josh reminisces about the days before he knew about coffee, and Alex hints at a future regaling of Deadly Premonition.

In a time of infinite remakes, broken user interfaces and empty promises, the 2v1 Podcast trudges along in hopes of finding a silver lining. Alex discovers the Evil Within is actually Resident Evil 4, Josh perpetuates the remake machine, and Nick gets psyched about Wolfenstein.

Thanksgiving is over and Alex, Josh and Nick are trying to cram in some video games before the end of the year. Josh hates video game music, but discovers that body armor and water are the same thing in Far Cry 4. Alex finds the Evil Within extreme widescreen letterboxing. Nick tries out Dragon Age Inquisition's multiplayer and disagrees with Josh's assessment of Sunset Overdrive.

Knee-deep in the month of November Release Madness, the 2v1 Podcast finds time to play some video games. Alex gets better acquainted with Wei Shen in Sleeping Dogs, while breaking legs (and hearts). Josh forgets he played Sunset Overdrive, gets lost in Call of Duty's menus, but finds his inner Scandinavian in Volgarr the Viking. Nick discovers a fear of the future.

Do guns work in space? What happens when swamps attack? These answers and more can be found within the 2v1 Podcast. Josh spends an hour stomping out evolution, Alex hears the ghostly call of duty, and Nick continues to ravage the Caribbean.

Alex and Josh reminisce about the Dreamcast, and Nick doesn't get it, but Blue Stinger is definitively the prequel to Dead Space. Its a pirate's life for Nick in Assassin's Creed Black Flag, and the guys collectively fail to remember what was revealed by Ezio's Revelations.
