  • Ep. #112 - Charged

    27/02/2017 Duración: 01h36min

The Nintendo Switch is in the hands of games press but one question still perplexes Josh: how are the Joy-cons charged and what the is the Charging Grip? Horizon: Zero Dawn is on the horizon and all anyone wants to do is compare it to Witcher 3 - much to the chagrin of 2v1. Alex shares early impressions of Halo Wars 2, Nick loves Nioh but it isn't Dark Souls, and Josh will never complete Final Fantasy XV. Also discussed: Resident Evil 7's DLC, Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Dragon's Dogma and emails from you: the listener! 2v1podcast.com feedback@2v1podcast.com twitch.tv/lostinacontraption Twitter/Instagram/Facebook: @2v1Podcast iTunes: apple.co/1IaaKUU

  • Ep. #111 - A Dangerous Deal

    20/02/2017 Duración: 01h18min

What was your first concert? Warning, Uncharted 4 spoilers 54:50-1:04.00. This week, 2v1 spends some time with their friend Larry, who sits in for Alex while he's away. There's lots of talk about heavy metal music, hangovers and re-visiting older games that we all remember fondly (sort of). Dragon's Dogma is a weird gem from last gen that Nick & Larry love, an upcoming game, Kingdom Come: Deliverance looks to chase & refine what made Elder Scrolls interesting, Nioh has too much loot, Uncharted 4 and Last of Us are the same, and Decksplash is weird. 2v1podcast.com feedback@2v1podcast.com twitch.tv/lostinacontraption Twitter/Instagram/Facebook: @2v1Podcast iTunes: apple.co/1IaaKUU

  • Ep. #110 - Pocket Guardian Spirit

    13/02/2017 Duración: 01h28min

Nioh is finally here and Nick loves it. Final Fantasy XV is difficult to complete for many reasons. Fire Emblem Heroes seems pointless. 2v1 answers a few listener questions this week: PS4 vs Xbox in 2017's first quarter and discussion on games the boys loved in the past but may not have held up over the years. Josh is good at eating (excluding burritos), For Honor is still a game, and your Vizio television is watching you eat yourself to death while you binge on Netflix. 2v1podcast.com feedback@2v1podcast.com twitch.tv/lostinacontraption Twitter/Instagram/Facebook: @2v1Podcast iTunes: apple.co/1IaaKUU

  • Ep. #109 - Resident Evilcast

    06/02/2017 Duración: 01h32min

SPOILER ALERT: 2v1 spends a portion of this week's episode discussing everything about Resident Evil VII (31:00-58:30). The boys are joined once again by long-fan and friend, Caley, to talk about Final Fantasy, Twin Peaks, Ghost Recon: Wildlands and more. The next Nintendo mobile game, Fire Emblem Heroes, is released and seems competent. Josh got a fidget cube. What's football? 2v1podcast.com feedback@2v1podcast.com twitch.tv/lostinacontraption Twitter/Instagram/Facebook: @2v1Podcast iTunes: apple.co/1IaaKUU

  • Ep. #108 - Biohazard

    30/01/2017 Duración: 01h13min

How many chairs do you have in your house/apartment? Resident Evil VII is a return to form for fans like Alex - bringing back limited ammo, doors locked with medallions and a creepy mansion to explore. Nick is surprisingly in love with Final Fantasy XV. Dirt 4 is announced. 2v1podcast.com feedback@2v1podcast.com twitch.tv/lostinacontraption Twitter/Instagram/Facebook: @2v1Podcast iTunes: apple.co/1IaaKUU

  • Ep. #107 - Ni-OH!

    23/01/2017 Duración: 01h15min

The video game world is still reeling from the Nintendo Switch announcement. Do game install sizes matter with cartridges? Is it fair to show a premium accessory in promotional material? Is 1 2 Switch even a game? Nick & Josh check out a new early access game, Pit People, a humorous tactical turn-based RPG from The Behemoth. The biggest item is Nioh - the next character action game from Team Ninja (and possible refinement on the Souls genre). Watch Nick & Josh check out the Last Chance Trial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zp7AtEVI9lE&t=112s Also discussed: January's free games, Batman Arkham VR, Gwent and Resogun. 2v1podcast.com feedback@2v1podcast.com twitch.tv/lostinacontraption Twitter/Instagram/Facebook: @2v1Podcast iTunes: apple.co/1IaaKUU

  • Ep. #106 - Confirmed Weird: Nintendo Switch

    16/01/2017 Duración: 01h14min

All is revealed: the Nintendo Switch is a video game console. 2v1 spends a majority of this week's episode discussing the recent Nintendo Switch Presentation where Nintendo announced prices, dates, games and High Definition Rumble, which allows you to guess how many imaginary ice cubes are in an imaginary glass. Josh doesn't understand how sequels work, Alex doesn't agree with Sony's digital wallet practices and Nick likes Dishonored 2 but doesn't want to play it. Also discussed: Superhot, should anyone still buy a 3DS, Forza Horizon 3, Bloodborne, and the cancellation of Scalebound. 2v1podcast.com feedback@2v1podcast.com twitch.tv/lostinacontraption Twitter/Instagram/Facebook: @2v1Podcast iTunes: apple.co/1IaaKUU

  • Ep. #105 - Must-try

    09/01/2017 Duración: 01h27min

The Last Guardian is a special experience for Nick (while extremely flawed), Alex is disappointed with Dead Rising 4, Josh is still playing Final Fantasy XV. Nothing has changed at 2v1, where achievements are still a touchy subject (and so is Spelunky). Nick isn't impressed with Nier: Automata's demo on PS4 but it may have potential. Nuclear Throne seemingly takes the repetitive nature of roguelikes too far, and Batman: TellTale is broken like every TellTale game. 2v1podcast.com feedback@2v1podcast.com twitch.tv/lostinacontraption Twitter/Instagram/Facebook: @2v1Podcast iTunes: apple.co/1IaaKUU

  • Ep. #104 - Peaks-y

    02/01/2017 Duración: 01h08min

It's the dawn of the year 2017 and 2v1 returns after a much-needed holiday to talk about the games they didn't play over break. Josh has an impossible schedule so friend of the show Cody Mr. Yody returns to talk about some of the best games of 2016 with Nick & Alex. Let It Die won't die, Heroes of the Storm is a more accessible MOBA, Oxenfree is overhyped and Nick & Alex attempt to finally explain why they reference Twin Peaks and David Lynch all the time. • Ep. #103 - Goodbye 2016

    26/12/2016 Duración: 01h13min

2v1 looks forward to 2017 which is shaping up to be another great year of video games. Everyone plays the free levels of Super Mario Run but don't find it worth $10 (even though it has some interesting things going for it). Nick is still playing Duelyst and hates Christmas shopping. Josh runs down the expected game releases of 2017. • Ep. #102 - Tokyo Death Metro

    18/12/2016 Duración: 01h15min

2016 is almost over and 2v1 is celebrating by doing what they do best: playing a bunch of video games and determining if insects sneeze. Alex plays in the dark in Outlast, leading to a discussion on current free-with-subscription games for Xbox and PS4 (Bastion, Invisible Inc., Lost Odyssey and Burnout Paradise). Nick finishes Furi which wraps up with a nice twist. Josh liked Batman: TellTale and is only fishing in Final Fantaxy XV. The gang spends way more than 5 minutes on Let It Die. Again. And they also discuss Rainbow Six: Siege, Ratchet & Clank and Titanfall 2 (minor spoilers). • Ep. #101 - Dungeon Climber

    12/12/2016 Duración: 01h43min

Let. It. DIE. When does a series lose the sense of what makes it a series in the first place? The Resident Evil 7 demo comes to all platforms with an update...but is it really Resident Evil anymore? 2v1 thinks not. Nick is enraptured by the next Suda 51 and Grasshopper Manufacture joint: Let It Die - a free to play dungeon crawler (climber) with a ton of style and a skateboarding grim reaper. Alex picks up Saints Row 4: Gat Out of and meets Shakespeare in eternal torment. Josh loves Batman: A TellTale Series (of course) and dips his toes into the Real Game that is Final Fantasy XV. Also discussed: Furi, Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain (spoilers kind of), Nintendo Switch on Jimmy Fallon and whether the retro resurgence is holding video games back. 2v1podcast.com feedback@2v1podcast.com twitch.tv/lostinacontraption Twitter/Instagram/Facebook: @2v1Podcast iTunes: apple.co/1IaaKUU

  • Episode #100

    05/12/2016 Duración: 01h31min

2v1 celebrates its 100th episode. The boys are joined by their friend Cody "MrYody" on this momentous occasion of arbitrary number designations. The 2016 Game Awards happened and spawn another argument about Hideo Kojima's next game that no one knows anything about, Death Stranding. Some awards are discussed but the most exciting news? Mass Effect Andromeda gameplay is revealed. Cody shares his favorite games of the year along with a primer on World of Warcraft versus Destiny. Alex starts another TellTale Walking Dead game with Michonne. Nick and Josh talk more Dishonored 2. feedback@2v1podcast.com twitch.tv/lostinacontraption 2v1podcast.com Twitter/Instagram/Facebook: @2v1Podcast iTunes: apple.co/1IaaKUU

  • Ep. #99 - Dishonored Again

    28/11/2016 Duración: 01h12min

2016 is coming to a close as 2v1 scrambles to wrap up their favorite games of the year. Nick finished Uncharted 4 and really enjoyed it despite his lukewarm feelings on the prior trilogy. Josh pilots a disembodied head around a robot pleasure palace in Headlander. Alex is tired of Borderlands humor in the Pre Sequel. Nick is still playing Pokemon Sun/Moon and falls in love with Flywrench. Josh starts Dishonored 2. No Man's Sky breaks the silence with an...interesting update. feedback@2v1podcast.com twitch.tv/lostinacontraption 2v1podcast.com Twitter/Instagram/Facebook: @2v1Podcast iTunes: apple.co/1IaaKUU

  • Ep. #98 - Challenge

    21/11/2016 Duración: 01h12min

Another week means another opportunity for 2v1 to argue about frivolous topics like game difficulty and which games present a worthy challenge. Which sci-fi first person shooter has the best campaign this fall: Titanfall 2 or Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare? Alex takes BT-7274 for a spin and Nick is surprised to find Infinite Warfare an overall enjoyable experience. Uncharted 4 continues to be thrilling for Nick while Josh scoffs at playing on easy mode. The holiday season is approaching and games are getting heavily discounted. Hearthstone raises its price. Thumper gets harder, better, faster and stronger. Pokemon is Pokemon but that's ok. feedback@2v1podcast.com twitch.tv/lostinacontraption 2v1podcast.com Twitter/Instagram/Facebook: @2v1Podcast iTunes: apple.co/1IaaKUU

  • Ep. #97 - Classic

    14/11/2016 Duración: 01h23min

Old games are back in a big (small?) way with 2v1 and Nintendo is still on everyone's mind. The NES Classic is hard to find but there's still plenty of life in Alex's SNES cartridges. The Switch is still surrounded by rumors and what, really, is the appeal of the Zelda series? More information about Mass Effect: Andromeda has been revealed, giving 2v1 reason to discuss Mass Effect 3's multiplayer...again. Nick and Josh are still talking about Titanfall 2. Dark Souls is still the Best Game. Nick is confused in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Uncharted 4 makes a great first impression (without any gunplay!). feedback@2v1podcast.com twitch.tv/lostinacontraption 2v1podcast.com Twitter/Instagram/Facebook: @2v1Podcast iTunes: apple.co/1IaaKUU

  • Ep. #96 - Play Titanfall 2

    07/11/2016 Duración: 01h17min

Fall 2016 is packed full of shooters and 2v1 is trying to make sense of them all. Nick is let down by Gears of War 4's safe and similar entry to the series. Josh loves Titanfall 2 - which has a campaign (& gameplay) that is a stark contrast to the new Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Alex re-visits the Borderlands series with the Pre-Sequel. feedback@2v1podcast.com twitch.tv/lostinacontraption 2v1podcast.com Twitter/Instagram/Facebook: @2v1Podcast iTunes: apple.co/1IaaKUU

  • Ep. #95 - Ashes of Nintendo

    30/10/2016 Duración: 01h36min

The world has seen the Nintendo Switch but many questions still remain - questions that won't be answered until January 2017. Can Nintendo learn from its mistakes and rise again? Bethesda announces they will no longer issue early release copies of games to reviewers. Dark Souls 3's first DLC Ashes of Ariandel is...good. Gwent makes the right changes but Josh doesn't like it. Titanfall 2 is better than everyone expected. Also discussed: Civilization VI, Battlefield 1, Sparcade and Bloodborne feedback@2v1podcast.com twitch.tv/lostinacontraption 2v1podcast.com Twitter/Instagram/Facebook: @2v1Podcast iTunes: apple.co/1IaaKUU

  • Ep. #94 - Nintendo Switch

    23/10/2016 Duración: 01h25min

The Nintendo NX is revealed to be the Nintendo Switch: a home console/handheld hybrid with removable controllers. 2v1 discusses the potential for Nintendo's new experiment in video games and the potential of Red Dead Redemption 2 as a prequel/uneeded re-use of the word redemption. Josh has parting thoughts on Gears of War 4 while Alex digs into multiplayer, Nick is still finding issues with Bloodborne but Thumper is amazing. Battlefield 1's (and other games') early access purchase bothers everyone. feedback@2v1podcast.com twitch.tv/lostinacontraption 2v1podcast.com Twitter/Instagram/Facebook: @2v1Podcast iTunes: apple.co/1IaaKUU

  • Ep. #93 - Gears of War 4

    16/10/2016 Duración: 01h16min

Is it 2016...or 2006? Gears of War 4 is here and it's more of the same but still feels fresh (?), bringing back the Locust (but not actually the Locust) and robots. Nick is enraptured with Thumper, a new rhythm-action game from ex-Harmonix devs, Drool. Gears is Gears, but now with some possibly-slimy business decisions attached (2016!). Josh & Nick have a wonderfully good time in Overcooked. Alex is still playing Resident Evil 4 but finally finishes Witcher 3. Spoilers for Witcher 3 at 1:12.00. Also discussed: Overwatch's Halloween event, Super Mega Extra Baseball, Exploding Samsung phones and Steam Televisions. feedback@2v1podcast.com twitch.tv/lostinacontraption 2v1podcast.com Twitter/Instagram/Facebook: @2v1Podcast iTunes: apple.co/1IaaKUU
