  • Scott Wright of DraftCountdown.com talks NFL Draft - 2/23/17

    23/02/2017 Duración: 35min

It's a Draft Edition of the Next Fan Up podcast this week as PodVader flies solo and interviews Scott Wright of DraftCountdown.com (@draftcountdown on Twitter).  As they begin their discussion about the prospects in the upcoming NFL Draft, the topic of underclassmen in the draft comes up.  Scott feels a guy like Noah Brown, WR from Ohio State, might be a little early for the draft but a team could get a guy who compares with Martavious Bryant, WR for the Steelers, in the mid rounds.  A rare position to see at the top of rankings is RB, but Leonard Fournette, RB from LSU,  is a special player and is ranked only behind Myles Garrett, the edge rusher from Texas A&M. The guys jump into talking about the QB position and how the prospects at the most important position in all of sports will shake out.  Pod notices that Scott has 5 of the top 11 players in this draft all coming from Alabama!  It's a poor class for OTs (offensive tackles) but their are some good OGs (offensive guards...but Pod says there can neve

Special guest SuperFans will jump in when called on. And the guys call on Ben, the Browns SuperFan, right off the bat to react to Pod's article at www.nextfanup.wordpress.com "Making the Browns Great Aga...For the First Time".  Pod's hypothesis involves Jimmy Garoppolo and Martellus Bennett. Ben discusses why Pod's hypothesis is necessary for the Browns to improve their team. James and Kevin see that point, but also see things from a different set of lenses.  Next up, Neil, our Redskins SuperFan, drops by to talk about Kirk Cousins pending free agency - or franchise tag. Neil wants to see Cousins back with the Redskins, but if he's not, he wants to see his team get some real value from him in terms of a trade.
