A few of the big ones are Fresno State vs. Wyoming which will be an offensive vs. defensive matchup of epic proportions. Colorado State's defense had a great game and its offense should up as well to defeat San Jose State. Jeremy and Matt are back to preview Week 6 of Mountain West football which features just five games as conference play gets heating up. The big non-conference game is BYU hosting Boise State in what could be interesting if only the Cougars go with their third-string quarterback due to injuries to Jaren Hall and Baylor Romney. Air Force taking on Wyoming is going to be the first leg to determine who wins the Mountain Division. Colorado State vs. San Jose State will tell us a lot about these two teams. Such as, are the Rams going to keep playing well above average defense or are they going to revert to how they played against South Dakota State and Vandebilt. Hawaii looked lackluster and had the same problems as last year in its 44-10 loss to UCLA, then San Jose State seemingly found every receiver open in its easy win over Southern Utah. Jeremy and Matt are back to preview their final Mountain West team in UNLV. The Rebels are coming off a tough 0-6 year under Marcus Arroyo's first season. This second year allowed him to have a standard spring and fall camp heading into 2021. There is some talent on this team with Charles Williams at running back, WR Kyle Williams, and LB Jacoby Windmon to name a few. The defense brings nearly everyone back so that unit must get better, then there is the quarterback position that is still up in the air between Justin Rogers and Doug Brumfield. Jeremy and Matt are back to preview the upcoming Hawaii football season. The Warriors have a slew of new coaches on the offensive side with some moving on to different jobs. The players on offense are led by QB Chevan Cordeiro, do-everything Calvin Turner and wide receiver Jared Smart. The running game needs improvement as does the deep-ball threats in this offense.e The defense is going to be a strong unit as it brings back nearly every starter last year from a unit that could scheme with the best in the conference, so look for them to take a step forward. Matt and Jeremy are back to take a look at the second year of the Danny Gonzales era which got off to a better than expected start during the pandemic-filled 2020 season. The Lobos were close in nearly every game and ended the season on a two-game winning streak. A lot of the 2021 season could be determined on if Kentucky transfer Terry Wilson is the answer at quarterback. Going undefeated again is hard but will SJSU take a fall?
