Bucknuts Morning 5: March 15, 2019
15/03/2019 Duración: 15minWhen Ryan Day arrived at Ohio State in January of 2017 as the Buckeyes' co-offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach, he was overshadowed by the hiring of offensive coordinator/tight ends coach Kevin Wilson. Almost everyone -- certainly including us here at Bucknuts -- thought Wilson was the one who was going to bring the offense to new heights in Columbus. After all, it was Wilson who was relatively successful as the head coach at Indiana (and always fielded good/great offenses at IU) and it was Wilson who had a history of being a standout offensive coordinator at the college level at Oklahoma and Northwestern. Yet, in the span of one year, it was Day who was turning down an opportunity to be an offensive coordinator in the NFL with the Tennessee Titans. It was Day who was promoted to offensive coordinator in 2018. And it was Day who became just the second assistant coach ever at Ohio State to make a salary in the seven-digits (joining Greg Schiano). Then when Urban Meyer was suspended, it was Day who took ov

Bucknuts Morning 5: February 27, 2019
27/02/2019 Duración: 15minIt is an action-packed show as The People's Champ, Matt Baxendell, joins Dave Biddle to discuss the following: * Ohio State's men's basketball game with a crucial 90-70 victory over Iowa Tuesday night in Columbus, which will be remembered as the coming-out-party for Justin Ahrens. The freshman sharp-shooter exploded for 29 points for the Buckeyes. He had scored just 38 all season entering play. * By every metric available, the Buckeyes (18-10, 8-9 Big Ten) are projected to make the NCAA Tournament. * On the football front, what will Jonah Jackson's role be? Will the Rutgers transfer definitely start at guard, or might he compete with Josh Myers for the starting center spot? He will be a starter at one position or the other, but which will it be? * Even after landing Jackson, Ohio State might not be done on the offensive lineman grad transfer market. Parker Braun from Georgia Tech is interested in OSU, and his father told our Bill Kurelic that Braun will visit Ohio State in March. And if he picks Ohio State, t

26/02/2019 Duración: 15minThe haters were certain Ohio State's ability to attract talent would wane with Urban Meyer's exit. But you know haters. They're not reliable. Too emotional. What will the front five look like come August 31 when Florida Atlantic comes to town? Who better to opine than our very own Duane Long, who knows a thing or two about the big dudes.
