It is a big day on the Ohio State football beat as the media will meet with new running backs coach Carlos Locklyn for the first time at noon. Head coach Ryan Day will also field questions from reporters. As for Locklyn, he is inheriting an excellent room that is headlined by TreVeyon Henderson and Quinshon Judkins. However, the Buckeyes did just lose Dallan Hayden to the portal. Does this mean OSU needs to find a running back via the portal, simply for depth purposes? It is one of the many questions we are curious to hear Locklyn and Day answer today. Also, is there fire to go along with all of this Julian Sayin smoke? Ryan Day allowed Tony Alford to decide how to divide the playing time at running back for Ohio State, so we presume the same will be true with Carlos Locklyn coaching the Buckeyes' RBs. Day has not been shy about calling it "the best running back room in the country" and that begs a question: How will the carries be divided between TreVeyon Henderson and Quinshon Judkins? Are we expecting something in the 50/50 range presuming they both stay healthy? How much action will Dallan Hayden see this year? What about true freshman James Peoples? Also, the more we hear about Locklyn, the more we are impressed. Does he have one of the most interesting backgrounds of any Ohio State coach in recent memory?
