Ministry, Life & Money Part 3
16/11/2014 Duración: 30minLife Ministry For most, sharing what God has given is a part of our lifestyle. If we are simply depending on the Lord to live His life through us, we may be accomplishing far more in hidden ways than an entire ministry in the public arena. Vocational Ministry The idea that those who minister should be acknowledged, honored and compensated by those receiving ministry is well-founded, both scripturally, culturally, historically and experientially. Yet the nature and duty of a minister is to give, regardless of what is given in return. Ministry and Money Earlier we discussed valuing time and attention. God values these, and needs them to be able to fully develop our relationship with Him. God also values your money. Not because He needs it, but because YOU do—how and when you spend it matters to Him. Money isn’t important to God, but because it’s important to us, He greatly uses it to accomplish His purposes for us—dependence, healing and exposing our flesh. If cooking was the most important thing to us, co

Ministry Part 2
09/11/2014 Duración: 31min“Grace” Is Accepting Unconditionally What God Gives Unconditionally, And Just Saying, “Thanks.” “Ministry” Is Giving Unconditionally What You Have Received Unconditionally, And Just Saying, “You’re Welcome.” Callings We all have the same Calling: to experience eternal life, to Know God personally, to be with Him now. Keep your calling in the forefront of your approach to the rest of your life, and you will never have to worry about priorities, missing God, or being dissatisfied. Since this is His Calling of You -- He's the One doing the calling -- all you have to do is Respond (show up for class). He will take it from there. Does God Have a Specific Purpose for Your Life? We can take a deep breath and enter that rest that comes from knowing we don’t have to accomplish, achieve or produce anything to fulfill our purpose in this life. Then what are we here for? Ministry Ministry is the means by which you give out what God has given in. Your ministry may or may not be in line with your temperament, needs,

Divine Guidance: Practical Do’s and Don’ts
26/10/2014 Duración: 31minDo Be Discrete. Decision-making can be stressful; trusting the Lord to bring you into His rest will ultimately make it easier to have confidence that you have heard from Him. Don’t shop around to get the answer you want. Truth is not in the number of people who agree with your decision. Do learn to say “no” without explanation. You do not owe anyone an explanation for your decisions. Take responsibility for your decision. Don’t save your communication with the Lord for “important” decisions. Over time you will be able to sense His direction on a variety of levels. Do make decisions with others. Whoever is involved in the decision needs to be in agreement. Do include all family members in the decision-making process. Habits are caught, not taught. Mentor your kids through the process. Do remain flexible. Once a decision is made, continue to pay attention to the Spirit. Do make decisions with confidence, remembering you are free to make a mistake! There will be times He will be silent when you seek His d

Guidelines for Knowing the Will of God for a Specific Situation Part 1
19/10/2014 Duración: 31minThe following is an objective approach to hearing from the Lord concerning specific issues. Knowing you have consistently followed certain steps often takes the emotion and doubt out of going to the Lord and increases our confidence that we have truly heard from Him. 1. Acknowledge and remind yourself of your spiritual identity in Christ. Who you truly are, a spirit being, already knows the answer to whatever your question is! 2. Review the central means of guidance in the previous series, “General Methods of Guidance according to Grace.” 3. DO THE RESEARCH! Seeking divine guidance is not a way to get out of your decision-making responsibilities. 4. Decide what YOU want to do. You can’t submit your desires to God until you “own” them; you can’t truly give to God something that doesn’t belong to you. 5. Adjust your beliefs and expectations until you can take an objective stance regarding the issue. It’s difficult to hear from the Lord when we already have an opinion. 6. Ask specific questions. Hindrances to Divine Guidance Part 5
12/10/2014 Duración: 31minThe Devil Hinders Divine Guidance 1. Deception is Satan’s attempt to get you to THINK contrary to who you are in Christ. By accepting the enemy’s words as our thoughts, believing his lies, we are easily distracted away from what the Lord is doing in our lives to what suits the purposes of the enemy. His greatest lie is that we are to figure out God’s will for ourselves and then do it, and that His will is not a place or action, but a state of reality. If you are IN GOD, you are IN HIS WILL! 2. Temptation is Satan’s attempt to get you to ACT contrary to who you are in Christ. Most Christians put WAY TOO MUCH pressure on themselves, believing that if they aren’t in the “right place at the right time,” somehow they are powerful enough to keep God from accomplishing what He wants in their lives and in the lives of others. As we learn to depend on God, we can trust that He will have us where HE wants us when HE wants us there, regardless of our knowledge or understanding. As our confidence grows, the temptat

Hindrances to Divine Guidance Part 4
28/09/2014 Duración: 31minAs with all other areas of our lives, there are three enemies that strive to hinder our relationship to God: the world, the flesh and the devil. If we are habitually waiting on the Lord, the Lord will train us to deal with and overcome every obstacle in our way. The World System Hinders Divine Guidance 1. The Religious System, the beliefs and standards of the church you belong to, your church heritage, all contribute to your belief system concerning God and His attitude toward you. The more dependent on the Lord you become to meet your needs, the less reliant you will be on the religious system. 2. Time Pressure As your confidence in your ability to hear from the Lord grows, you will be able to recognize and overcome the stress of having to make decisions NOW. 3. Peer Pressure Perhaps one of the hardest habits to learn is saying “no” without explanation. Our Flesh Hinders Divine Guidance 1. Need for Control Our flesh has two main goals; to get our needs met our way, and to prevent rejection. 2. Tempera

9 Steps to Responding to and Interpreting Supernatural Guidance Part 3
31/08/2014 Duración: 32min1. Make Yourself Available to Receiving Supernatural Guidance. 2. Be Prepared! 3. Be Objective. 4. Confirm that the supernatural manifestation is from the Lord. 5. Ask for the Interpretation! 6. Enjoy His Presence. Remind yourself of your relationship with God by resting in silence with Him. 7. Respond! Be attentive to His direction and guidance, but realize you are moving IN and WITH Him. 8. Follow-through! Just as the Lord sets our feet on a new path, or confirms the direction or choice we are following, the enemy (and well-meaning friends) will follow close on His heels to try to divert you from that path. 9. Back to Business! Supernatural guidance is occurring in each of our lives whether we are aware of it in our consciousness or not. REMEMBER: God is perpetually creative, and so is not restricted in the ways He may choose to lead, guide and direct us. God likes to have fun, so don’t put boundaries on your expectations of His activities or the ways He may choose to reveal Himself to you. Hindra

9 Steps to Responding to and Interpreting Supernatural Guidance Part 2
24/08/2014 Duración: 31min1. Make Yourself Available to Receiving Supernatural Guidance. Let the Lord know you are trusting Him to lead, guide and direct you in any way He chooses, and that you will pursue and take this training seriously as a way to learn to know Him and His ways. 2. Be Prepared! Have a notepad and pen ready, and be ready to give the Lord your attention if He requires it. Don’t worry about how you will respond; the Lord knows and approves of how He created you, so you are free to be yourself. 3. Be Objective. Be quiet internally, and as much as possible physically. Take note of how you feel and what you see, but don’t get distracted by details. What did you hear (whether audibly or internally)? Don’t worry about interpretation yet. 4. Confirm that the supernatural manifestation is from the Lord. For instance, when you wake from a dream or a trance, ask the Lord right away, “Lord, is that you?” Once confirmed, continue observing. If it is not the Lord, determine its source and deal with it accordingly. 5. Ask for

Signs / Supernatural Guidance Part 8
10/08/2014 Duración: 32minDreams, Visions, Trances & Open Visions These are all terms that describe a few of the ways the Lord communicates to our consciousness through our developing senses. Because we are not used to functioning through these senses, our perception of these experiences mark them as unusual. But as the Lord quickens our senses, and we more readily experience and respond appropriately to the activities in the supernatural realm, there are few limits to the ways the Lord may choose to provide guidance. Because we are becoming confident in our relationship with God, we can ask Him for these experiences, making ourselves available on His terms, being patient but persistent toward those things that He uses to draw us. As with all of our training, we are free to make mistakes as part of the process. We learn new habits of depending on Him for interpretation, confirmation, etc., remembering that even such supernatural experiences as these can be duplicated by the power of our soul, or the enemy, or by the power of the

Signs / Supernatural Guidance Part 6
27/07/2014 Duración: 31minSigns are merely external means God uses to get our attention, such as supernatural phenomena, a timely event, or even a person or unexpected communication. The effectiveness of a sign will be determined by our attentiveness to His drawing and a willingness to obey. The Need for Signs Before the Resurrection, the only way God could communicate with His creation was through the natural and supernatural realms. Today He communicates to us through His Son, Who communicates to us Spirit to spirit. Asking for Signs If we are honest, most of us ask for an external, objective expression of God’s communication to us because we do not have confidence in what we know or have heard from Him internally. The Purpose of Signs As with other supernatural means of guidance, signs interrupt our present circumstances in order to get our attention. Generally speaking, the purpose of a sign will fall into one or more broad categories: * To Provide Needed Information * To Provide Needed Direction & Guidance * To Pr

Supernatural Guidance Part 3
06/07/2014 Duración: 32minAngels * Angels minister by delivering messages of direction, assurance or encouragement. * Angels go before us to prepare the way, go with us to guide, protect, encourage, and follow behind us to clean up so others don’t pay for mistakes made during our learning experiences. * As co-inheritors with Christ, we share in His governance of everything that is part of His Kingdom. * The presence of or communication from an angel, as from any other source, must be tested by going to the Lord for confirmation. Angels always point to dependence on God; He always has the last word. * Though the sudden intervention of an angel may be indicative of the importance of the message or need, it is more likely that their appearance is due to our unresponsiveness to God’s more subtle attempts at getting our attention. Their responsibilities determine their level and realm of authority, as well as their interaction with creation. Others occur in our lives every day without our awareness. * Angels minister by delivering messages of direction, assurance or encouragement. * Though the sudden intervention of an angel may be indicative of the importance of the message or need, it is more likely due to our unresponsiveness to subtler attempts at g
