Supernatural Guidance 1
22/06/2014 Duración: 32minAngels Angels are supernatural beings created by God to minister to us in a variety of ways. Both angels and demons abide by the authority that governs the supernatural realm; they are under the authority of spirit beings: God and Believers. Both do what they were created by God to do; angels minister to us, demons minister against us. ??* Angels minister by delivering messages of direction, assurance or encouragement. * Angels go before us to prepare the way, go with us to guide, protect, encourage, and follow behind us to clean up so others don’t pay for mistakes made during our learning experiences. * As co-inheritors with Christ, we share in His governance of everything that is part of His Kingdom. * The presence of or communication from an angel, as from any other source, must be tested by going to the Lord for confirmation. * Though the sudden intervention of an angel may be indicative of the importance of the message or need, it is more likely due to our unresponsiveness to subtler attempts at get

Methods of Guidance (Conc.) & Supernatural Means 1
15/06/2014 Duración: 32min4. Knowing God Experimentally The assurance of His Personal Presence is a supernatural rest in the midst of unrest and therefore passes all understanding, because it has been tested both in the fires of adversity and the temptations of ease. We learn that His Personal Presence is reliable because we have relied on Him and He has come through for us. Positionally The assurance of His Personal Presence is the peace OF God for all those who have made peace WITH God. When we know our identity, that as spirit beings we are loved, accepted and honored regardless of our behavior, we can objectively evaluate our behavior and observe with rejoicing and gratitude the changes as God makes them. Judicially The assurance of His Personal Presence provides discernment and judgment. The peace of God is the arbitrator of our internal disputes. As we often struggle to determine what course to take, the more sensitive we are to both the assurance or the unrest and disquiet, even alarm of the Personal Presence, the more assur

Methods of Guidance Pt 4
08/06/2014 Duración: 31min1. Providence/Circumstance 2. Law/Morality 3. Instruction/DirectionConditional guidance in which our participation, awareness and enjoyment of the leading of God is contingent upon our compliance with certain conditions, i.e., having our senses tuned, response, waiting, seeking, relinquishing our rights, getting healed, etc. God instructs us about His Ways. He imparts personal knowledge of His will by giving us personal understanding of a certain concept. God teaches us to apply His Ways. He imparts the knowledge of His will by arranging experiences in which we can observe Him in action. God tests us to reinforce His Ways. He arranges circumstances, often stressful, that reveal to us how much of what we have been instructed and taught has actually become part of who we are. 4. Knowing God As we grow in dependence, we become more and more sensitive to the internal direction of His Personal Presence: Negatively He provides more than a mere absence of disturbance. Positively He provides a conscious rest.

Methods of Guidance Pt 3
01/06/2014 Duración: 31min1. Providence/Circumstance 2. Law/Morality The law of the land, or social/cultural guidance, governs the natural realm in which we live, and the consequences of breaking the law are also natural. Likewise, morality is cultural; what is acceptable and “right” in one culture may not be acceptable in another. 3. Methods of Divine Guidance Pt 2
18/05/2014 Duración: 31minTake some time to reflect and let the Lord bring to your mind those areas in your personal history that you may have overlooked in which He was trying to give you guidance, but it was perhaps missed because it was misinterpreted. 1. Providence/Circumstance There is an unconditional guidance in which God acts sovereignly without any requisite for such guidance, and regardless of our relationship with Him. ALL THINGS are under His complete control. This form of personal guidance is most obvious to us “after the fact,” looking back over our lives. This may be one reason so many find it difficult to reflect on their lives; they may be avoiding either the clear involvement of the Lord in their lives, or evidence of those times when they missed opportunities to seek the Lord’s help. But avoiding the past only prevents us from reaping its benefits, from learning its lessons; the best time to make course corrections is NOW! 2. Law/Morality The law of the land, or social/cultural guidance, governs the natural realm

General Methods of Guidance Pt 1
11/05/2014 Duración: 31minHow to Know the Will of God Conclusion: Repetition of Personal Crises. Sometimes it seems like we get locked into habit patterns where we repeat the same mistakes over and over again. This is one of the ways God brings to our awareness that we are going in circles. It’s important to review your personal history, not just so you can learn from it, but so you can reflect, study, develop new skills and set goals on the basis of what your history reveals. Out of the Will of God? To say that we’re out of the will of God is to say that our will is stronger and bigger than His will. This is not true! If He’s not guiding and directing us actively, He is guiding and directing us providentially. General Methods of Guidance According to Grace Take some time to reflect and let the Lord bring to your mind those areas you may have overlooked in which He was trying to give you guidance, but it was perhaps missed because it was misinterpreted. 1. How to Know the Will of God Part 10
04/05/2014 Duración: 31minConsequences of Not Waiting for Divine Guidance Loss of His Personal Presence. Though we can never escape from the omnipresence of God, or even the manifest presence of God, we CAN lose the awareness of the Personal Presence of God. This often separates us from an awareness of His manifest and omnipresence. God is present just as much when we aren’t aware, when we don’t sense Him, as when we do, but we don’t receive the benefits of our relationship through the Personal Presence. Consequences Commensurate with Our Decisions. Remember that as earth-dwellers, bad things happen to everyone as part of this world system. These are not necessarily negative consequences of not depending on God, and the only way to judge is to ASK HIM! God’s Assertion of His Sovereignty as Teacher, Guide, Counselor, etc. We can’t put God in a box, and say, “This is the way God deals with me.” He is under no obligation to deal with you in only one, two, or even knowable ways. Repetition of Personal Crises. Sometimes it seems like w

How to Know the Will of God Part 9
27/04/2014 Duración: 31minConsequences of Not Waiting for Divine Guidance God uses our need for guidance and direction in our lives as an effective catalyst to draw us into dependence on Him. If we refuse, resist or fail to recognize this drawing, or settle for the guidance without learning how to depend, He uses all strategies at His disposal to bring us back to His lesson plan. Loss of His Personal Presence. Though we can never escape from the omnipresence of God, or even the manifest presence of God, we CAN lose the awareness of the Personal Presence of God. God is present just as much when we aren’t aware, when we don’t sense Him, as when we do, but we don’t receive the benefits of our relationship through the Personal Presence. Many lose a closeness and intimacy over time that can be explained by the Lord’s withdrawal of His Personal Presence in order to draw them into greater dependence on His leading. Consequences Commensurate with Our Decisions. Remember that as earth-dwellers, bad things happen to everyone as part of thi

How to Know the Will of God Part 8
13/04/2014 Duración: 31minThe Need for Divine Guidance God’s goal for us is not for us to be “in His will,” but to be dependent on Him to reveal that will to us and through us on a moment-by-moment basis. God has committed Himself to our care, provision and the meeting of all of our needs. Knowing His committed love for us, we can rest in confidence that what-ever methodology He chooses to use at any given time, the end result of our lesson will accomplish His goals. Throughout the ages, God has provided various means of direction and guidance. We know that throughout time God’s purposes match up with His relationship with His creation—each age includes a means by which the Lord communes with humankind. In this present age, He communes with us by His Son, who now lives in us and speaks to us directly and individually. We are unable to know the ways of God without His help. Though our spirit is already in perfect communion, agreement and compliance with God’s present purpose and plan for our life, it is only through His work that ou

How to Know the Will of God Part 7
06/04/2014 Duración: 31minDivine Guidance – Embracing Guidance 1. Recognize and submit your will to His sovereignty. 2. God wants us to know His will for us according to our spiritual nature. 3. God wants us to know the multiple dimensions of His purpose for us now. 4. God uses the hiddenness of His will and our desire to know His will to lead us into dependence upon Him. The qualifications for knowing His will and experiencing His divine guidance are the same as for every other facet of our relationship with Him: our healing, hearing His voice, knowing His peace and growing in dependence. This encourages us to dedicate ourselves again to cultivating quietness and learning to wait. As the Lord reveals His specific purpose for a given moment, He changes our beliefs, our perception of Himself, of ourselves and of others, and teaches us how to live as co-inheritors of the Kingdom. Eternal life is an expression of our spirit life now, and the Lord uses our need to know to bring us into dropping anything that does not satisfy as He

30/03/2014 Duración: 31minDivine Guidance – Embracing Guidance 1. Recognize and submit your will to His sovereignty. 2. God wants us to know His will for us according to our spiritual nature. 3. God wants us to know the multiple dimensions of His purpose for us now. * There is an expressed will of God on many dimensions, such as ages or eons, people groups, nations, etc. as well as for us as individuals. * There is also the hidden will of God. God is under no obligation to reveal His final destination for us, or even our next step. When we let God do what He wants, He does whatever is needed—evangelism, healing, deliverance, revelation, etc. We don’t even need to know about it, it is all the same to us. As we mature in dependence, habitually resting in the trustworthiness of our spirit nature to be responsive to the slightest urging of God’s Spirit, God perfectly accomplishes His will through us. As we commune with Him, whether He asks us to pass the salt or raise the dead, it is all the same to us. 4. God uses the hiddenness

16/03/2014 Duración: 31minDivine Guidance – Embracing Guidance 1. Recognize and submit your will to His sovereignty. 2. God wants us to know His will for us according to our spiritual nature. As we become more and more familiar with living according to our true spirit nature, and as that nature becomes free to express itself through the healing of our soul and body, our senses and perceptions are tuned to be able to recognize the fierce simplicity of the purpose of God in this earth, and how we fit into it. God is a present God, the God of “now.” Unlike any other deity in any other religion, our God is alive, living, personal and thoroughly focused and involved in everything that is going on now. As we begin to see from a spirit perspective, the complexity that motivates most earthly activity will fall away, and all we will see is the Way. Be prepared to change your beliefs about what God’s purposes are on this earth, for people in general, and for you in particular. God wants to reveal to you His secrets, but they are not for thos

How to Know the Will of God Part 3
09/03/2014 Duración: 31minDivine Guidance – Embracing Guidance 1. Recognize and submit your will to His sovereignty. God’s will for us as individuals is an expression of His purpose for us. By recognizing His sovereignty, we acknowledge that He is the sole authority over our lives. By submitting to that sovereignty, we acknowledge that His purpose alone will bring us the healing, contentment, peace and challenge that gives this life meaning. For each of us He has set aside His own goals to accomplish during our time here on earth: As we allow Him to reveal that purpose, and allow our perceptions of that purpose to die, we join Him in accomplishing our goal of knowing God, experiencing eternal life, now. 2. God wants us to know His will for us according to our spiritual nature. As we become familiar with living according to our true spirit nature, our soul and body, our senses and perceptions are tuned to be able to recognize the fierce simplicity of the purpose of God in this earth, and how we fit into it. How to Know the Will of God Part 2
02/03/2014 Duración: 31minThere are two main areas where we can expect to see practical and obvious results of learning to know God: Divine Guidance and Ministry Involvement. The more you depend on Him to meet your needs, the more He will begin to interfere in your personal life for your need for guidance, and provoke your spiritual nature as a giver (ministry). Divine Guidance is the sovereign interference of God in the personal life and experience of all creation past, present and future. As a believer, your spirit is already in full participation with the full will of God, and therefore has the confidence and assurance of the lovingkindness of God toward you so that it DOES NOT NEED GUIDANCE! It is our soul and body that react to unknown circumstances, especially their lack of control over the unknown. Through dependence, our goal is that our will be free from the influence of the world, the flesh and the devil so it can be submitted to the will of God. Over time our purpose and desire line up with the purpose and desire of God, a

Challenges to Knowing and Hearing from God Conclusion
16/02/2014 Duración: 32minWe are challenged to be devoted to God alone, looking to Him for encouragement, reward, recognition and motivation. The Lord is both your Reward and your Rewarder. Though there will most likely be evidence of God’s work in your life, there is also the likelihood that no one else will ever know all the hard work, the time, attention and sacrifice it takes to know God. The Lord wants to not only encourage us now, but reward us now as well. These rewards may not be public or even in the natural, but if we are aware of the Lord’s values, we will recognize His abundant and fitting rewards. These are most often to be kept secret. This provides us with another reason not to judge others according to public recognition: that brother or sister you just cut in front of in traffic may be seated at the place of honor at the King’s Table. The Lord may choose you to receive credit for something you didn’t take part in, or came in at the tail end of. Today we are reaping the great benefit of all who have gone before us, a

Challenges to Knowing and Hearing from God Part 14
09/02/2014 Duración: 32minWe are challenged to be devoted to God alone, looking to Him for encouragement, reward, recognition and motivation. One way to determine who and what has authority in your life is to identify your source of encouragement and motivation. Just as we recognize God as the sole authority in our lives, we recognize Him also as our sole motivator and encourager. Who (or what) do you go to first? God knows you need encouragement—look to Him for it; He may use people, but when you recognize it is from the Lord, the impact will be life-giving. Knowing God is primarily a solitary endeavor rather than a team effort. No one can walk your walk for you, and you have not walked this way before. There is an accusation prevalent in some religious circles that people ministering outside an authority structure of denomination or congregational leadership are acting independent of the church, or as “Lone Rangers.” This attempt at manipulation is generally merely an expression of: 1. Control on leadership’s part. If every belie

02/02/2014 Duración: 31minTHE GREATEST CHALLENGE IS THAT KNOWING GOD TAKES TIME AND ATTENTION, AND TO HURRY GOD IS TO FIND FAULT WITH HIM As we grow in patience toward God, we will also grow in patience with ourselves and others, for we begin to see the plan God has for His people is all-encompassing—spirit, soul and body. And to be critical of the visible path is to be critical of the Way. Though we are patient with ourselves and others, accepting them unconditionally for today, our need to be hearing God for His direction becomes even more critical as we are available to Him to be used to encourage, direct and heal. Challenges to Knowing and Hearing from God Part 12
26/01/2014 Duración: 31minWe are challenged to restful, diligent patience with ourselves, others and with God. THE GREATEST CHALLENGE IS THAT KNOWING GOD TAKES TIME AND ATTENTION! Ours is an instant society, in which wars must be fought and won without any inconvenience to or thought from the general population. But knowing and experiencing the truth takes research, diligence, hard work and patience, and most of all it takes time. We must keep the rewards in perspective: our goal is to Know God. What that will look like will be different for each of us, and so will not necessarily be evident or explainable to others. Each of us must come to value the work itself, rather than the results, regardless of its value to others. To hurry God is to find fault with Him. As we grow in patience toward God, we will also grow in patience with ourselves and others, for we begin to see the plan God has for His people is all-encompassing—spirit, soul and body.
