There's an incredible freedom in knowing where you're going that frees you to live and fills you with calm. The Apostle Paul spoke of this when he said "To live is Christ and to die is gain." Join us this Sunday as we conclude our series Finding Rest with a sermon entitled "Seeing the Finish Line."

In our fast-paced, highly-mobile, always connected, society satisfaction and rest are often hard to find. Enter God, who reminds us of the basic human need that each of us have to unplug from the pressures of work and expectations of men and plug in to God’s grace, peace, and joy. Join us as we continue our series Finding Rest with a sermon entitled “Unplugged” from Mark 2:23-28.

In the Bible, faith and rest are always connected. When our faith is in God, the rest that Jesus promised abides within us freeing us to experience the fullness of God’s blessings. But, when our faith transfers to ourselves, rest is replaced with anxiety, and we find ourselves wandering through the events of life as Israel wandered through the wilderness of Kadesh Barnea. The rest that Jesus offered is not the absence of stress, work, and fear. Christ's rest is the presence of God in you that replaces your stress with faith, your work with meaning, and your fear with hope.

For six hours on a Friday, the King descended into darkness. But the King did not merely descend to the cold floor of death: He pierced the darkness, bringing light to all and life to those who believe.

Significant spiritual moments in life are coupled to significant moments of prayer. The Bible is full of prayer moments. So to, is our Christian speech. In church we often talk about prayer and study prayer. But one question remains: beyond dinner and church when do I pray? This week we conclude our journey through Ephesians with a sermon from Ephesians 6:18-24 entitled “Why I Pray.”

Every one of us has a physical side and a spiritual side. Our physical side needs things such as food, water, shelter, sleep, and food. Our spiritual side craves thins like love, forgiveness, hope, meaning, depth. Through Christ. God has equipped us to live beyond the physical world and grow spiritually. Join us as look at Ephesians 6:10-20 in a sermon entitled The Unseen Battle.

Does work work for you? Most of us work hard in life, but often we really don’t enjoy our work. In fact, as many as 80 percent of people do not enjoy their jobs. Work, whether it’s in the home, the workplace, or school is a large part of our life and should have meaning and enjoyment. Join us as Lash discusses “Making Work Work” in a sermon from Ephesians 6:5-9.

Home is supposed to be the happiest place on earth. But, for many, home is a place of constant conflict. Surrounded by the people we love the most, we often feel isolated and lonely. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Join us as we look at Ephesians 6:1-4 and discover some biblical truths that will help you “Recapture your Happy Home.”

Time management: it is a challenge that we all face. Either you capture your time or your time captures you. The Bible teaches us in Ephesians 5:15 to, "Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk—not as unwise people but as wise— 16 making the most of the time. . .” Join us as Lash preaches on “Becoming a Time Capturer.” As you prepare for worship, spend some time reading through Ephesians 5:15-21 and James 1:1-7.

Humanity continually seeks the beauty of art and the complexity of love. Marriage is the foundational human relationship through which family and community are built and illustrates Christ’s love for His bride: the church. The currency of the 21st century is ideas. Our world is full of many voices selling ideas that sound good but are not supported by truth. In Ephesians 5:8, the Bible teaches that Christians must walk as “children of light.” It is when we walk in light that are able to discern what is "pleasing to the Lord.” Join us as we look at Ephesians 5:6-14 in a sermon entitled “Children of Light.”

You reflect what you worship. When we worship God, our lives reflect him. When we worship the things of the world, our lives reflect it. In Ephesians 5:1, the Bible calls us to "be imitators of God, as dearly loved children.” As dearly loved children of God, we are to walk as Jesus walked, love as Jesus love, and talked as Jesus talked. Since you put away lying, Speak the truth, each one to his neighbor, because we are members of one another. Be angry and do not sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your anger. . .(Ephesians 4:25-26). What’s the big deal with lying? Does moral truth even exist? How can I speak the truth in love rather than anger? These are all good questions in need of biblical answers. The Christmas story is an amazing story of unity. In it, God becomes man and His light draws those rich and poor; wise and the simple; near and the far, to the One who is powerful enough to be bring unity to our deepest divisions. The gospel itself is an amazing story of unity, and when we embrace it’s truth we find ourselves a part of Christ’s body: the church. Like the shepherds and wisemen, we come to the church with different backgrounds and gifts and find ourselves united by the One who is powerful enough to bring unity to our deepest divisions.

It’s Christmas week! A time when we gather with family, exchange gifts, and take a few moments to slow down and remember what’s important. For Christians, Christmas is a Holy-Day on which we celebrate the birth of our savior and Lord: Jesus Christ. At Bethlehem he intervened to redeem; the fracture of sin had broken the peace of creation, so He broke the chaos of sin with the peace of Himself. Join us as we look at John 1:1-4 “In Quest of the True Meaning of Christmas."

"For this reason I kneel before the Father from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named (Ephesians 3:14-15).” For many, Christmas is a time where families gather and special memories are formed. Christmas can be a magical time of the year, and it can also be a rough time of the year.
