Ken Ham: Like a Fire in My Bones
16/09/2025 Duración: 55minMary welcomes Ken Ham to the podcast to talk about 50 years of impact through Answers in Genesis. From the start of his life in Queensland, Australia, Ken was surrounded by parents and grandparents who modeled service and an uncompromising love for truth centered around God's Word. Sometimes our testimony is a series of divinely orchestrated events that get us on the same page with God, other times it's a pivotal moment. Either way, who can doubt that it's miraculous, and Ken's story truly is, from the beginning! From science teacher to AiG, God has had His purposes and plans for one of the most enduring and effective apologetics ministries of modern times. We talk about his youth in Australia, the birth of AiG, coming to American shores, and the Creation Museum project. We learn of experiences both high and low in engaging the culture and standing firm for truth that has made the AiG worldview so eternally effective. The book is "Miraculous! The Ken Ham and Answers in Genesis Story", which can be found here

Shawn Weber: Training Up a Child in a Screen Age
15/09/2025 Duración: 55minShawn Weber Today's FRESH NEW PODCAST: Dave Wager talks with sixth-grade math teacher and former youth pastor Shawn Weber about schooling, home life, and a child’s heart. Using Proverbs 22:6 as the anchor, they dig into respect in the classroom, impulsivity driven by screens, and how parents can model leadership at home. Shawn explains why he serves in public schools, how Christian teachers quietly witness by the way they live, and how students can respectfully ask faith-forward questions. Dave urges parents to pray for teachers, speak with grace, and partner with the school instead of swiping people the way we swipe apps. Practical helps fill the hour. Ask better questions after school, not “What did you do?” but “Show me what you’re working on.” Let kids teach you what they learned, set short, consistent homework routines, and use bedtime review to lock in memory. Keep AI in its place. Learning is the struggle that forms character, not outsourcing the answer. Aim for feedback, not judgment, when you look

Chris Quintana: Retiring to Bedlam – Distress of Nations with Perplexity
12/09/2025 Duración: 55minMary welcomes back Bible teacher Chris Quintana to get a grip on the times. When people say, "get a grip", what do they mean? Getting a grip on reality in 2025 includes really pausing to see things for what they are. The waves of the sea tossing, with a side of perplexity suggests that God is backing the world into a corner and they are not seeing a way out. What does this look like then? We talk about the chaos that leads to global change, in a number of categories. When Dickens had his beloved Scrooge say, "I'll retire to bedlam", what did that mean? Back in the 13th century, there was a hospital in London for the insane called Bethlehem Hospital, shortened to "Bedlam". When Scrooge was talking to Bob Cratchit about Christmas and the "insanity" of celebrating anything, being merry, when he didn't have two shillings to rub together - that was "insanity". Scrooge further implied that if he were to do that, find himself happy outside of his wealth, he would willingly have himself committed - "retire to Bedlam"

Bill Wilson: Moments of Truth
11/09/2025 Duración: 55minMary welcomes back Bill Wilson of The Daily Jot to pull the curtain back on some inconvenient truths - inconvenient for those who don't like truth telling, anyway. In the aftermath of yesterday's shocking headline of the assassination of Charlie Kirk, sometimes the bedrock of truth will go head to head with wickedness and a high price is paid. Worldviews clash daily in these times, but embedded in the series of decisions that were made to take this man's life over ideology is the true definition of "crossing the rubicon" - and America will take a long time to recover from this, if we do. Today we also discuss the the political polarization fallout of the Sars/Cov pandemic, accompanied by the general declining trust in public health measures that followed, along with more intense political division. If it only took a couple weeks for Fauci and his ilk to shut our country down, why has it taken an additional 4 years to finish a thought on the scam of the century? Well, there are those who are finally getting ar

Headlines: Postcards from the Edge
10/09/2025Another news cycle, another opportunity to convey the lateness of the hour - and the lunacy that goes with that. That time is short is so painfully obvious, because at what point does even tech outpace that Revelation 13 scenario? Living on the edge of history has its advantages - namely, it keeps us on our toes and the edge of our seats all at the same time. Now, if AI genius of the day Peter Thiel is delivering lectures on the antichrist, it might be time to look up. When quakes and volcanoes threaten "global winter", it might be time to look up. When persecution and the Middle East heat up hot as the fires of judgment, it might be time to look up. The point of all of it? Look up! Our redemption is nigh and people are on the edge of sanity it would seem. More news cycle and more mayhem awaits, but it's all good. Take us home, Lord. Testimony Tuesday: Bruce Carroll – State of the Art
09/09/2025 Duración: 55minMary welcomes Bruce Carroll to the podcast to talk about his story, his life, his art. Bruce is a quintessential musician and artist in every facet. We talk about his early years, how they formed who he is, coming from a broken home. Becoming a Christian was the farthest thing from his thoughts, like most of us. One thread that runs through every testimony from his age group is a love of music, as though that was bound to be part of our lives. How did music enter into his day to day, what was he able to build upon to become such an iconic singer songwriter in the church? We talk about the Grammys, Dove Awards, touring, record contracts, parenting, and grandparenting. Bruce is a compassionate lover of truth, and a true blessing to the church; his heart for people comes through in all he does. We also talk about the point at which the church became an inward-looking entity instead of outward. What was the Apostle Paul's answer to a selfish church? "Have nothing to do with them." An insightful hour with one of t

Julaine Appling: Fighting for the Family
05/09/2025 Duración: 55minMary welcomes back Julaine Appling to talk about a smorgasbord of issues that affect the family. With a new school year and the Big Beautiful Bill, we look at some funding options for families whether they homeschool, charter, or attend public schools. Then we look at the increase of sports gambling around the nation. Why in the last few years are we inundated with ads for team odds and the money to be had? For so long, teams, players and fans were concerned about the integrity of the games, but no more. Sports gambling has become a real challenge for family finances in all sorts of households, but now some are looking to bet on Little League. It's unthinkable that adults should profit off a child's learning teamwork and athletic skills, but somehow it's not completely surprising. Then we look at the Illinois mandate to provide mental health evaluations in all schools; transgender violence, and the issue of the availability of the abortion pill in Texas. Jim Fletcher: Living in Bible Times
04/09/2025 Duración: 55minMary chats with Jim Fletcher about a prophecy in Zechariah 2 that most Christians have never looked into. In his booklet "Zechariah 2", he fleshes out one of the most interesting passages imaginable - where prophecy intersects with modern times - and wouldn't you know, it has to do with the creation of the modern state of Israel. Shocking! There are over 100 prophecies foretelling their regathering, is the church even listening to God on this one? Jim is one of the most articulate around when it comes to clearly expositing on this subject, one that should be dear to all our hearts. There is so much swirling around us in terms of prophetic fulfillment, and still we find far too much claimed as prophetic fulfillment that is not. Why doesn't the church keep the main thing the main thing, with a Bible full of remarkable things to look into that we have yet to master? Jim's 2nd, current book, "The God that Answers By Fire", contains 7 of the greatest fulfillments related to Israel's regathering, and a believer can

Headlines: East is East and West is West
03/09/2025 Duración: 55min"Oh, East is East, and West is West, and never the twain shall meet, Till Earth and Sky stand presently at God's great Judgment Seat" (Rudyard Kipling). Tim and Mary take on another news cycle, as Summer gives way to Fall. What will the new season bring, regarding the Middle East and the falling West? There may not be a lot of commentary in the week after Labor Day, but things done under the sun are never "done". Today we talk about the very real potential for famine following the reported collapse of bee colonies in the West. The Bible has some pretty dire warnings about this in Revelation 6. Also on the agenda, the changes in the UK on a civilizational level. How long till what is turning into utter tyranny over there, will we see such brazen, unlawful censorship here in the States? Probably just one presidential election away. We take a look at the Vatican's LGBTQ embrace, and why is it that they speak out of both sides of their mouths on this lifestyle, and try to appear to condone it? Yes, East and West

Orphans, Heirs, and the Providence of God
02/09/2025 Duración: 55minToday Mary brings her testimony to the table on our 2nd Testimony Tuesday. While every testimony is a series of divine appointments and God's revelation to the heart of someone, Mary has a historical context to widen the scope of God's providential ways. Tracing events from her great-grandmother to today, we see that God's ways are truly not ours. In the 2nd half of the podcast, we take a look at Malachi 3 and 4 and some of the most beautiful verses in the entire Bible. We talk about the books of God, and how our tears are recorded, showing us a God Who has great care and compassion for us. Once we get to the end of Malachi 4, prophetic utterances from God come to a halt, and we don't pick up the redemption story until Matthew 1, and a new epoch arrives with a song of "glory to God in the highest". What happened in that time frame? A lot, as we shall see, as we place it in historical context. A full hour looking at some of the more lovely things about this God we serve, in awe and wonder. The big picture toda

Judge Phil Ginn: Marriage – Some Assembly Required
28/08/2025 Duración: 52minFrom the courtroom to the boardroom, from the pulpit to the podcast booth, Judge Phil Ginn is a man who has lived a life of extraordinary purpose and unwavering faith. He’s a respected judge who served over two decades on the bench, presiding over countless cases in nearly half of North Carolina’s county seats. He’s a successful entrepreneur who took a struggling pump company and transformed it into a thriving industry leader. Currently, Judge Ginn currently serves as the president of Southern Evangelical Seminary, a leader in apologetics education—teaching students to defend their faith and talk intelligently, passionately and rationally about what they believe and why they believe it. Today Mary talks to the Judge about marriage - as an apologetic. When we think of apologetics, we think of cults, defending the gospel, evangelism and false teaching. But in the culture wars, what could be more important than defending the building blocks of society when all around us are those who wish to destroy it? Remember

Headlines: Backlash – Coming for your Your Kids, Your Flag, and Your Bacon
27/08/2025 Duración: 55minTim and Mary look at the news cycle, and are forced to conclude that something deep inside the culture has snapped. How else are we to think when saying "bacon" is a crime? And California wants to pass a child trafficking bill that isn't what you would think it is, and forget the blood moons, we have a much bigger problem, Houston. It's not that this massive comet that could wipe out all life on earth is actually going to hit our fair planet, it's the media spin and fear mongering that is going to occupy our minds. It doesn't matter if it's an actual threat anyway, kind of like bacon. We talk a bit about AI, and flag burning - also not a story you might expect. We should just stop expecting normality and go for the big apocalyptic scenario, because, it's coming. If the news cycle doesn't get you, the truth of the Scripture will because in the end, God has the last word. Scott Townsend: AI – True Intelligence, or Massive Hoax?
26/08/2025 Duración: 56minMary welcomes speaker, author and AI expert Scott Townsend to the podcast to talk about the concerning characteristics of AI. The word "artificial" should give us our first clue as to what kind, if any, intel is within. Scott has written extensively on why we should be extremely wary of the potential delusion that comes packaged with the "illusion". A parrot can say that 2+2 is 4, but it doesn't know why. In a similar way, AI can spout all sorts of learned input but has no idea the physical reality. AI can tell us when certain stars or planets will be predictably in our skies, but has no knowledge of the physics in motion to make it true. We look at patterns and inference in AI, and all the ways it fails the simplest sniff tests. Also for discussion, Scott's gracious and heartfelt open letters to pastors, to challenge them to present prophecy biblically, as well as what we see in the news that obviously points to the season of Christ's return. How is it that they don't even have a working knowledge of Daniel,

Dr. Timothy Durkee: The Truth That Sets Us Free—In Medicine, Politics, and Life
25/08/2025 Duración: 56minOn today’s Stand Up for the Truth, host Dave Wager brings on his longtime friend Dr. Tim, a physician and city council member, for a wide-ranging conversation rooted in John 8:32—“Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” Dave reflects on God’s role in medicine, sharing how he trusted the Lord through his wife’s cancer surgery, while Tim recalls moments when prayer guided him through critical procedures. The two talk through how truth requires discernment and obedience, not just knowledge. In his practice, Tim emphasizes the difference between evidence-based medicine and social narratives that distort reality, pointing to abortion, gender ideology, and the drift away from foundational truths. Together they affirm that real freedom comes from trusting God, not institutions. The conversation shifts to politics and culture as Dr. Tim highlights the growing influence of narratives in media, government, and education. He notes how truth is often sidelined for political gain and how leaders s

JB Hixson: Wrong Gospel, Wrong Jesus?
22/08/2025 Duración: 55minDr. JB Hixson Today Mary welcomes back JB Hixson to chat about the gospel - what it is, and what it isn't. This week, President Trump expressed the idea that if he is able to settle the score between Putin and Zelenskyy and thereby save lives, wouldn't that be enough to get into heaven? Back in 2016, Trump met with 1000 evangelicals in New York, presumably to secure the evangelical vote. Since then he has surrounded himself with various believers of different stripes, and somehow evangelicals conclude that Trump is a true believer. Of course, those with our wits about us know that is not a reasonable conclusion. The math is all wrong. We discuss the everlasting gospel in depth and the grace that surrounds it - and then we go through a list of things that are presented as representing the true gospel but in truth are counterfeits. How can we know the fake gospels? How can the church be armed with the ways to combat these insidious fakes? A doctrinal hour with JB. Stand Up For The Truth Videos: https://

Mondo Gonzales: Let the Reader Understand
21/08/2025 Duración: 55minMary welcomes Mondo Gonzales today to talk prophecy - but not just in the way that simply confirms the interpretation of the day. Central to our conversation is the famous passage in Daniel 9:27 - "and he shall confirm a covenant with (the) many..." Prophecy teachers have generally taught that to be a peace treaty, making anyone who facilitated such a covenant either the Antichrist, or associated with him. But what if that isn't in view? Did you know that the word "peace" is nowhere to be found in that verse? From time to time, it's okay to step back from the pop prophecy that we have been taught and make sure we aren't torturing the text. To make sure we can defend our position FROM the text. A fascinating discussion. We also get a red heifer update, and talk 10 kings. Who are these guys that Daniel and Revelation 17 both say will get to rule with the Antichrist for a brief moment? Mondo Gonzales was a pastor for 16 years and also has a graduate degree in Biblical archaeology. He is the director of the Psalm

Headlines: Eurocrats, Technocrats, and Democrats
20/08/2025 Duración: 55minTim and Mary take on those in this world that love to put "-crat" at the end of everything. After all, don't we all live in a "demo-cracy"? Well some do, and some don't. The core meaning of "-crat" is related to power and authority, in the context of government. And that 80s tune, "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" is becoming more prophetic as the years go on. The techno people think they do or will rule the world. The Eurocrats definitely are on their way to ruling the world, because the Bible says so and they are all to willing to comply. The Demo-crats, ever power hungry and angry want to take back the rule of the US and will just keep getting angrier until they get their way. So today, lots of crats to go around. We also discuss the death of the small farm, how mobile devices render our kids stupid, and Costco's decision not to carry the abortion pill. A full hour of global insanity, but one that we hope gives insight to the news cycle in light of Bible prophecy. Stand Up For The Truth Videos: https://

Testimony Tuesday: The Heart and Soul of Richie Furay
19/08/2025 Duración: 55minMary welcomes guest Richie Furay for our first Testimony Tuesday, as we look at his full and storied life as a member of pioneering bands Buffalo Springfield and Poco. With all that success, what drove him to his knees? How does a person reconcile or intersect the unique life of the spotlight, in the definitive 1960s no less, with the calling of a pastor and troubadour for Jesus? When he returned to Ohio for his Hall of Fame induction, he had a moment of clarity, that those two lives, and all the craziness, were both him, and God was in every moment. Sometimes we have a hard time reconciling our "two lives" as believers, we run from who we were in shame. But God. We talk to him about the early years, the fame years, and the ministry years. Richie and Nancy have been married since 1967, and as the family has grown up, their seasoning and maturity in Christ has had an impact for eternity. Keeping up with his energy level is always a great way to spend an hour. Stand Up For The Truth Videos: https://rumble

Replay – Chuck Girard: A Move of God – the Genesis & Power of ‘Jesus Music’
18/08/2025 Duración: 54min[Originally aired: 5/4/23] Chuck Girard, singer, songwriter, recording artist, and worship leader, is one of the pioneers of Contemporary Christian Music. He was co-founder and lead singer of the group LOVE SONG from it’s beginning to the present. Born in Los Angeles, Chuck began playing music at an early age. In his teens, he formed a group called THE CASTELLS, which had two national top 20 hits. They also released the song “I Do”, which was produced by Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys. Chuck shared the stage with stars such as Roy Orbison, Jan and Dean, Jerry Lee Lewis, Bobby Vee, and others. This led to a successful career as a studio singer and musician which included singing the lead vocals on THE HONDELLS first two albums and their biggest hit, “Little Honda.” In his early twenties Chuck became disillusioned with life, and like so many of his generation began experimenting with drugs. This led to a five-year search for God through LSD, eastern religion, and a committed “hippie” lifestyle. Rock & Roll P

Usama Dakdok: The People of the Land
15/08/2025 Duración: 55minMary welcomes back Usama Dakdok to lay a firm foundation on who exactly owns that contested piece of land called "Israel". Usama was born in Egypt and grew up in a Christian home. While in government schools in Egypt, he learned about Islam just as every other student does in a Muslim country. Usama also studied for a university degree in Egypt which included the study of Sharia, Islamic law. He first came to America in 1992. With all of his knowledge about Islam, he felt he could reach out to Muslim people in America with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Thus he began The Straight Way of Grace Ministry. Today we ask ourselves, how did the world come to swallow the narrative of a land called Palestine and Palestinian people? Is it largely to erase Israel's claim to the land? It seems to be the Lie of the Century, when it comes to Bible prophecy at least. And all that antisemitism today? That's about that piece of land too. God's Word ties their redemption to that piece of real estate, so of course, it IS about tha
