We have to ask ourselves, why in the world would any community want illegals and the loathsome crimes they commit to ravage their towns and neighborhoods? There must be something big in it for them. We should never expect truth from the world, in fact, they suppress it, daily. Romans 1 says that when they do that, there are consequences. That's why Romans tells us that the number of fools will increase. The universe is God-centered. We have no universe of our own, but Satan is doing what he can to get his own, and here we are stuck in the middle with clowns to the left and jokers to the right. The best way to address this New Age practice is by taking it step by step, making sure we understand by the time we are done that yoga does not belong in the Christian life. Today, Tim and Mary take a break from the current loop of a news cycle and focus on words - they matter. Pastor Claude Stauffer, a frequent guest on Stand Up wrote a post last week entitled "Words Matter" - and the more we thought about it, and the Word made flesh, the more we came to realize just how significant last week's events have become. What does the Bible say about a world full of words - both lies and truth? About the tongue in James 3? About Gamaliel's wisdom in Acts 5? There are so many ways we can take what happened and sharpen our witness, become more soberminded about our social media presence, and give God an opportunity to work among us based on HIS word, not man's word. Man's word shapes every cult and false teaching. Satan said "Hath God said?" by Genesis 3. And so much more we can say about this.
