Second Founding

We start this week off with Mark in rare form.  So there is some bleeping and ranting going on in the first segment.  Chris Borer and Brian Sobb sit down with Ken and talk about Fantasy Flight Games newest game 'Relic'.  The guys get into a discussion on how to find your niche in a gaming group.  And for the what's new at Adepticon segment Greg Sparks takes time to sit down and discuss the team tournament.

Chris Borer and Sean Anderson sit in for our season 1 finale episode to talk the resin crack, Forge World.  We talk about what makes us consider FW, what we look for when we purchase, and what role it serves.  For the What's New at Adepticon we deal with the Gladiator tournament.

Theme is a huge part of any army no matter if it is planned or a happy accident.  This episode we start with the hobby progress we have made over the last 6 weeks.  Chris Borer talks about painting White in the Word of Borer Segment.  We touch on Theme.  What is it?  How do you get it?  Does it hurt to have it?  Will Antibiotics cure it? And we end up the Episode talking Horus Heresy at Adepticon 2013.

The History of Combat patrol is the topic for the evening.  We also take some time to talk about the Zone Mortalis Event at Adepticon 2013, the Wounded Warriors charity army, and Victoria Lambs Beastman sculpt.

Perfect Imbalance and a Mark Rant, Codex creep, and a Mark Rant... Mark Mondragon takes a few moments to talk to Mark about Kickstarter, The Dream Forge Leviathans, and Iron Core.  The guys touch on the Adpeticon 2013 Warzone Tournament and we talk games played.

Well, The holidays are behind us.  Ken, Steve and myself got a good chance to rest and recharge for the coming 2013.  So we didn't record anything for this week sorry!  However, I did have a good chance to get some interviews in leading up to the holidays to keep the information flowing.  So first up we have Bryan Steele of Cool Mini as well as Dark Age.  We follow up with Evil Ed of Bell of Lost Souls The week in 40k Podcasting.  And we end out this special holiday episode with Brian Niro talking Wreck age.  Don't fear fair listener the guys will be back in two weeks with exciting new announcements.

With the guys having Ken's Dark Vengeance set to look through and discuss it.  Which sparks a trip down memory lane.  We cover what we recall of the 40k box sets starting with with Rogue Trader, and into the 2nd ed set.  The winner for Dark Vengeance is annouced!

  Kickstarter has taken the gaming world by storm, so why not spend a little time talking about it.  Dark Vengeance contest is touched upon, and our thoughts on bringing your army up to speed for sixth edition.  So sit back and lets talk 40k!

With Episode 11 Ken, Steve and Mark talk about Terrain.  How terrain set up works for 6th, Narrative terrain, creation of terrain.  And Mark Interviews Bryan Bertsch of the Deployment Zone about terrain when it comes to a 90+ person event.

It's all about the Cheese friends.  This last weekend was Last Cheese Standing.  So we talk to Ken about his thoughts before the event, get his take on the event the day after.  As well discuss tournaments in both 5th and 6th edition.

With 6th Edition fresh off the printers, Ken, Steve, and Mark take some time to talk about how they plan to learn the rules.  What rules they tend to find themselves forgetting and transitioning from 5th to 6th.  Mark and Ken interview Alan Bajramovic and Mark talks with Alex Fennell of the American ETC team.

With 6th edition in our hot little hands we find a way to get as far away from the massive changes as possible.  We, instead of talking about new rules, talk about our 10 top models in 40k, and we talk with Muggins of Freshcoast 40k. While I know this episode is a little on the lighter side of things.  We felt we needed a little time with the rules to really be able to talk intelligently, and after last episodes heavier topic we just needed light and fun. The enrichment center would like to remind you that the weighted companion cube has more common sense than these three meat bags.
