Second Founding

So who records during the middle of an event with no real topic in sight?  We do that's who!  Kind of a meandering wandering thru GW and giving back to the community.  The sound quality is suspect in some parts as well.. we were in the middle of a tournament and sometimes that leads to distraction rather than excellent microphone skills

Time to take a look back at 2013.  What did we accomplish, where did we fall, what do we have upcoming for 2014?

Squimpas, Escalation, and Fortifications Oh My!

First up Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate the US version of the holiday.  We start off with games played and Steve takes over the segment with his recounting of an Apoc game. We dive in to a two part main show.  Codex Suppliments and our thoughts on them.  Then we take a moment and talk about three that we brainstormed ourselves.

With the guys not having the time to record the past two weeks Mark steps in to talk a little about the best international wargames tournament in the midwest, Adepticon.

Ken, Jeff, and Steve have a low key episode this time around.  So sit back and listen to the mellow voices of the founding talk sweet 40k.

Gencon was this weekend, so Mark and Steve take the time to go investigate! Warning this is a road trip episode so there will be some road noise.

We go at it again.  Big Games Bring em on?!?  We are joined by Chris Borer who gives us a live Word of Borer this episode based on Mark's musings a few episodes back of how to tie together a few armies into an 'Allies Matrix of goodness'. This episode we dive into the guys hobby progess which takes a long spin around Allies and color theory.  We have a Word of Borer centered around the color Yellow.  For the first topic we do a Potpourri segment covering everything from Eldar to Ewoks, Forge World to patent trolls. We bring back Brian Sobb and Chris Borer to finish up the discussion of painting with a segment of planning your painting and basing, and what corners to cut when working on an army scale vs a competition piece or center piece.

Chris Borer and Brian Sobb start to lead us down the rabbit hole of competition painting.  We chat with Ronnie Renton on Deadzone and Warpath. 

Steve was unable to make it this week so Ken and Mark bring in Top 16 player Ken Bruenner and Second Founding Blogger Jeff D. to talk about Adepticon 2013.  What worked?  What didnt?  What could be improved?  Sit back and enjoy.

So mark squeezes this episode under the wire with moments to spare.  Adepticon has passed and man we are exhausted.  So this week we have four interviews lined up.  Ken starts off with Nick Nanavati and Tony Kopach regarding the top of the heap of the 40k Championships.
