Seriously?  Yes, seriously.  Steve recorded the 1918 version of the folktale "The Little Red Hen."  The source says it's English, Wikipedia says it's Russian.  For July 4th, we're calling it American.  Steve found out that his kids had never heard this story about self-reliance, DIY and independence, and he thinks there's some kind of conspiracy afoot.  So here it is, in hopes that no child in the podcasting community will miss out on this simple story about doing all the work yourself and reaping the benefits.  Happy Independence Day!  BTW, there are multiple formats of the story at Project Gutenberg.

We say goodbye to Daniel & company in this brief Epilogue.  Also included is a discussion with author Phil Giunta and publisher / director Steven H. Wilson about writing the novel and Phil's future plans.  With this podcast, Prometheus takes a break for a while.  Lots is going on with Firebringer Press, our publishing arm, and we need to focus on that for a while.  Worry not, we'll be back in 2011 with more Arbiter Chronicles, more SuperHuman Times, and some new standalone shows as well!

Daniel is briefly hospitalized after his rescue from the railroad bridge. After returning home, he encounters the ghostly boy one last time before reuniting with a surprisingly sympathetic Vicki.

Consumed by rage and bitterness, Daniel confronts the spirit of his abusive mother, Theresa. She shows him moments from their past that remind him of the challenges and fears she faced as a single parent.  Daniel must then decide whether to forgive his mother and allow her soul to move on, or condemn her for eternity.

WilsonConductor - Paul BalzeBenson - Chris CarothersAngry Passenger - John Weber A note from the author: Here we return to my North Carolina heritage.  The story of the light at Maco Station has been told many times in the last century and a half.  I first discovered it in one of my grandmother's books of ghost stories, An Illustrated Guide to Ghosts and Mysterious Occurences in the Old North State, by Nancy and Bruce Roberts.  I love train stories, so it's always been one of my favorites, and Prometheus's rendition embroiders on it, adding some history and some melodrama along the way. 

Prometheus recreates Orson Welles and the Mercury Theatre of the Air's historic production of the HG Wells classic, live at the Farpoint Hallowe'en Party on October 23rd, 2010 at the Crowne Plaza Baltimore North.  We start and end with a brief bit of silliness wherein our youngest member lampoons Orson, but overall it's a faithful recreation for an enthusiastic audience.  Paul Balze and June Swords are your announcers, John Scheeler is Carl Phillips, Steven H. Wilson is Professor Pierson, and Chris Carothers is the Stranger.  Also stars John Van Blarcom, Renee Wilson, Cindy Woods, Cindy Shockey, Ethan Wilson, Christian Wilson, John Weber and Renfield.  Sharon Van Blarcom and Lew Aide provided tech support, with Ethan Wilson and Chris Shockey on foley, Cindy Woods producing and Steven H.
