Overview – Godly Tactics. Acts 19:8-10. In our message today we read of Paul going into the local synagogue in Ephesus again. Once he’s in, he stays there for the space of 3 full months, reasoning and persuading with them of things of the kingdom of God. Yet, right after 3 full months, we read of the Jews getting angry and speaking evil of “The Way”, which was to speak against Jesus Christ. “The Way” was so named because Jesus Christ was/is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Now, why would the Jews have spoken evil of “The Way” and so Jesus Christ’s religion, when Paul was just simply in the synagogue speaking of the things of the Kingdom of God? Overview – Who Is The Creator Of The Universe? In our message today, we cover the very confusing idea of who the creator of the universe really is. This is one of the biggest debates in the entire world among different religious folk. Some people believe that the creator is the Allah of Islam. Some believe that Buddhism, Hinduism, or the eastern religions hold the key to the answer. Some, probably most, believe that ALL roads/religions lead to the creator, but who is correct? Overview - The Baptism Of The Holy Spirit. Acts 19:1-7. In our message today, we take an in depth look at some confusing statements that the Apostle Paul and some disciples in Ephesus, say to one another. The confusing statements that they speak to one another are in regards to the Holy Spirit of God, and the baptism of the Holy Spirit of God that He gives to mankind. Overview - Paul's Carbon Copy. Acts 18:24-28. In the section of scripture we study today, we uncover a very small, easily overlooked, yet humongous detail. The Apostle Paul leaves Aquilla and Priscilla in Ephesus, to go and chase the fulfillment of a vow in Jerusalem that he had made to God, and they come in contact with a very interesting character named Apollos. He is a Jewish man who comes to Ephesus, whom they end up meeting the synagogue there in the city, who turns out to be an almost exact carbon copy of Paul. Why did Apollos come to Ephesus? How do Paul’s travel companions end up meeting Paul’s carbon copy? Why do I continue to call Apollos a carbon copy of Paul? What is the very small, easily overlooked, yet humongous detail that I wrote of earlier that we uncovered in our section of scripture today? Overview – Vows Are Dangerous! Acts 18:12-23. Paul, along with Aquila and Priscilla, sail to Syria, and so, back to his home church in Antioch. Before they do though, they make a couple of stops, one in Cenchrea, where he/Paul takes a vow, and the other in Ephesus to preach to some Jews in a synagogue. The Jews are unexpectedly receptive to Paul’s message of Jesus Christ, and they want him to stay longer. How does Paul respond? He declines, which is so anti-typical of his heart to bring the lost to Christ. What made him decline their offer to stay longer to hear more about Jesus Christ? His vow. In our message today, Timothy and Silas finally catch Paul in the city of Corinth. He had been waiting for them to come to him since he had been in Athens Greece. They meet up with him, and God immediately sends them to testify to the Jews, that Jesus was the Christ, or their promised Jewish Messiah. The Jews respond negatively to Paul, and blaspheme Jesus Christ. How does Paul respond? He tells them, “Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean. From now on I will go to the Gentiles.” Was Paul telling these Jews that he was no longer going to preach Jesus Christ to Jewish people anymore ever? Overview - The Amazing, Tent Making, Apostle Paul. Acts 18:1-4. In our message today, we talk a whole lot about The Amazing, Tent Making, Apostle Paul, as if you didn’t already get that clue from the title. We spend a majority of the sermon talking about the fact that this amazing apostle, not only did more for the Christian world than any other Apostle/Christian EVER, but that he also made tents to provide for himself to make his living. He did not accept a salary/ pay from God’s churches in order to serve God. His example is one that we, in our message today, hold up against a couple of attitudes that we have in our Christian world of today. Overview - Making The Unknown God, Known. Acts 17:16-34. In my message today, I teach through Paul’s address to the Areopagus. We open our section of scripture today with Paul in Athens Grease. He’s in Athens because the brethren in Berea send him away to escape the Jews that had come there to attack, and possibility kill him. Paul is escorted to Athens alone, and once he’s there, he realizes that he needs his assistants, Timothy and Silas. While Paul is waiting for Silas and Timothy to arrive in Athens, his spirit is roused within him out of love, as he sees all of those in the city given to idols. He looks around and sees a multiple of temples and statues that are dedicated to their pagan Greek gods, along with one statue that he sees, that is dedicated to “the unknown God”. Immediately he goes into the synagogue and into the market places and preaches Jesus Christ. Some philosophers then come along and hear what he is preaching and decide that it would be a great idea if they bring him to the Areopag

Overview – Be Like A Berean. Acts 17:10-15. Paul flees the city of Thessalonica, because of the Jews who wanted to kill him for his proving Jesus Christ to them, and he goes to the city of Berea. He doesn’t take any time off from preaching and goes right into the local synagogue to preach again to the Jews of this new city. The difference this time, with the Jew and Gentile followers in Berea from those in Thessalonica, is that those in Berea have open eyes, ears, and receptive hearts to the news that Paul gives them of Jesus being the Christ, and God ends up saving many of them. What can we learn from these Bereans? Why should we be like them? Why did God save many of them? Overview - If Jesus Had Not Risen Then Nothing Matters. 1 Corinthians 15:1-20. Happy Resurrection day everyone!!! Praise God for this beautiful day that every true follower of Jesus Christ everywhere, can celebrate Jesus Christ and the fact that He rose from the dead to defeat mankind’s’ great enemy death, and grant us an amazing new life, after this very short life is over, in eternity forevermore. But, what if He had not risen from the dead? Well then, as I title implies, I don’t believe anything would matter at all. How can I say this? Why would nothing matter if Jesus Christ didn’t rise from the dead? Did Jesus Christ really and truly rise from the dead? And if so, how can we really know for sure if He did? Overview - Paul Proved Christ To Them From The Scriptures. Acts 17:1-9. Today we looked at a few amazing ideas that God uncovered for us in our text. 1) Paul reasoned with them from the scriptures that Jesus was the Christ and of the Gospel. 2) The prophesies that Paul gave them to reason with them of Jesus and the Gospel. 3) The ways in which Paul’s listeners responded to what he told them. 1) Reasoning from the scriptures simply means that Paul gave them strong argument for the very real truth that Jesus was indeed the Christ/Messiah of God that was foretold of from thousands of years before Jesus was born in the flesh, and of the gospel; His life, death, and resurrection. Well, strong arguments need strong evidence, otherwise known as proof, to prove the arguments Paul put forth for them of Jesus being the Christ and of the Gospel. And well, giving strong evidence/proof for an argument of the Bible and Jesus Christ is also called evidential apologetics. Yes, that’s right. P

Overview: Apostasy - Everyone Did What Was Right In His Own Eyes. Judges 17:6. In our sermon today we look at a very overlooked verse out of the Book of Judges in the Old Testament of the Bible. In my message today I explain the Biblical, contextual, and exegetical meaning of the Judges 17:6 verse, and then I explain what the verse has to do with apostasy, and everyone doing what is right in their own eyes in our time, in the church of today. Overview - A String Of Super Supernatural Miracles. Acts 16:25-40. I open up our message today right in the middle of a whole account with Paul and Silas. An account where Paul and Silas had gone off to Macedonia to serve the Lord. While there, Paul does something really good in that he delivers one of the local slave girls from a demon that had possessed her. Well, her masters didn’t like that to much, so they drag them off to some leaders of their city who unjustly tear their off their clothes, beat them with had sticks leaving them bloody all over, and then throw them in a dark dungeon. Our message opens up with the section of scripture right in the midst of their terrible situation, with Paul and Silas still in prison, yet we start reading today of them praying and singing hymns to God while they were in that dungeon. 1) How was it possible that Paul and Silas were able to pray and sings praise songs to God while in the midst of their horrible situation? Overview - Everyone Is Not Saved. Matt 7. In our message today I speak about a terrible problem we have in our country (America) with pastors, DJ’S, and teachers of the Lord Jesus Christ. That problem being, when they speak to their audiences they reference all they speak to as born-again Christians. This practice MUST stop. True born-again Christians speakers MUST not make all those that are in their audiences feel safe and in God’s arms, as the Bible is clear that everyone is not saved. I spend my time in this message talking about this problem and explaining why this practice is a terrible problem. Overview - The Undisputed KING. Acts 16:16-24. In our message today we examine an interaction between Paul and Silas and a demon possessed slave girl. The slave girl comes to Paul and his crew, as they are ministering to and for Jesus Christ in Macedonia, and the demon through her proclaims two very powerful and life changing things. What were they? She says in vs 17 ~ 1) “These men are the servants of the Most High God, 2) who proclaim to us the way of salvation.” Why were these two points she makes so very powerful and life changing? What was the demon through her really saying? Overview – God’s Vision. Acts 16:6-15. The mission God had given Paul and his crew to go to Asia minor to encourage the churches he and Barnabas had planted being over, Paul finds out that God has a new vision and mission for him and his Christian crew. Do they quite get His vision at first? Not quite as they try to go to some cities in Asia and preach the Gospel, only to find that God shuts the door with a big NO. What do they do when God says NO in Asia? Do they accept His NO and just stop ministering all together and go home? What vision does God give them, and do they choose to accept it, or do the run away from it because it might be dangerous? Overview - His Grand Rule Of Love. Acts 16:1-5. In our message today, Paul seems to play the hypocrite with with Timothy to make the Jews happy in the region they were going into. Paul takes Silas and goes on a journey back to the churches that he and Barnabas planted, and they run into a highly recommended man of God who was well spoken of by the other people of Christ, Timothy, and Paul wants to take him along, to help him encourage the churches they were heading into. But there was a huge problem with Timothy, and Paul feels compelled to fix it, even though his fixing Timothy seems to be hypocritical according to the purpose of their journey. What Paul did to fix Timothy was NOT hypocritical, but why wasn’t it? What does Paul do to fix Timothy, that seems to be hypocritical, but was not? What is Paul’s Grand Rule Of Love? Overview - In The Church. Acts 15:36-41. In our message today we discovered the fact that Paul had a very powerful passion for the work of the Lord, In The Church, hence the title of the message. The well known fact about Paul is that he was a monster evangelist, BUT, and that is a HUGE BUT, not many people know that he was a powerful force, In The Church, and not just a group of people as the church of God all around the world, he was a powerful force and organizer for the local organized religious gatherings of the brick and mortar churches, like the ones that we see in Acts chapter 2 in the first literal church started by the original apostles. Overview – “It Is Finished”. Acts 15:1-35. In our message today we studied an attack of satan, on the church of God in the city of Antioch. The Christian soldiers in this church had been doing a lot of amazing work for God’s kingdom, preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ and bringing people to Christ, and as a result, the devil brings some of his little followers to this church, in the form of some religious looking people that came teaching that, unless people were circumcised and keeping the law of Moses, they couldn’t be saved. Why was this a counter attack by the devil? How do we know that these religious looking people were really from the devil? Why is teaching that people must keep the law of Moses to be saved, an evil doctrine that I believe comes from the devil? Overview – For Loves Sake. Acts 14:21-28. In our message today, we take a look at a very crazy and dangerous thing that Paul and Barnabas do in the ministry for the Lord Jesus Christ. They get done ministering in the city of Derby, where many people are added to the Lord, and instead of staying there to disciple these new believers, they decide to go back through the last 3 cities they had already preached in, Lystra, Iconium and Antioch, and that they had exited from, to help those that had turned to the Lord Jesus Christ, and to strengthen the churches that they had planted in those 3 cities. Why do I consider what they did a crazy and dangerous thing? How do they help those new converts in those 3 cities? How do they strengthen the churches in the cities of Lystra, Iconium and Antioch?
