The Bear Woznick Adventure

Long Ride Home cast member Jay "Iron Man" Flunker surfs, rides motorcycles and is a Catholic evangelist. He is full of love for the Lord and has a deep desire to evangelize.    Bear and Jay recount how, during the filming of Season One, Jay had to split from the pack and  return 100 miles back to a Harley dealership for some repairs to his motorcycle. As Bear points out, the adventure starts at the detour. Jay’s trip to the Harley dealership turned into an evangelization mission, as he handed tracts out and talked Church with some fallen away Catholics.    God has given us all gifts and we are all evangelists of some fashion. Long Ride Home cast member Lance "Doc" Maki was our wilderness doctor during the filming of both Seasons One and Two of Long Ride Home. He is a trained doctor and a necessary component of our Long Ride Home pack.  Bear and Doc talk about the adversity faced during filming and the positives that came from their trials. The Holy Spirit caused each of the men on the ride to trust and know that God was there within their midst. Like the early Christians who faced the lions and decided whatever happens ,happens the Long Ride Home pack put their faith in the protection of the Holy Spirit.

Long Ride Home cast member Grady Dyke fills the role of tail gunner during the cross-country filming of Long Ride Home. He was the glue that kept the pack of riders together and on schedule.  Bear and Grady discuss how during filming of Long Ride Home the gifts of each cast member began to reveal themselves. Those gifts became apparent and began to gel together as the journey progressed. As Saint Paul said, each component of the Body has their place and not one is more superior than the other.

Father Mark Goring is a manly man who enjoys riding motocross, street riding motorcycles, as well as skating, and surfing. He serves as the pastor of the Catholic Charismatic Center in Houston. Father also joined the cast of Long Ride Home Season One and the current filming of Season Two. Bear and Father Mark recap the adventure that was Season One of Long Ride Home. The reflect upon this group of good Catholic men on motorcycles riding from Cocoa Beach Florida to one of the most beautiful places in Texas the Big Bend and beyond to San Diego. None of them was certain what was going to happen on this one of a kind reality TV show. What they experienced was a brotherhood and a model for male masculinity and spirituality that came together in unity against every adversity they faced. Coach John McKenna retired after 16 seasons as Athletic Performance Director and Assistant Football Coach at Notre Dame High School in New Jersey , and was a strength coach and football coach for over 32 years.  A member of St. John the Baptist Parish and Knights of Columbus, he has developed a foundation program for younger athletes that teaches the basics of fottball and also enhances their athletic ability.  This program has been copied and highlighted throughout the country.  Coach John McKenna is a big man with a big message. Bear talks story with two young men who have given up a year of their life to work with the homeless in the Bronx to discern their vocation. Jaire Jacome & Anthony Shipe are missionaries with the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal to serve, discern, pray, and for formation.
