Beyonce has been mixed and remixed by so many talented DJs and Producers. 4/07/07 ... Hands down... the most memorable night I ever heard Peter Rauhofer spin in New York City. This was the opening night of his "Work" party in Stereo, 555 W 33rd St. That night there was just something about the beats... It was almost like he was spinning as if he had something to prove and he turned it HARD! After the Roxy closed Peter brought in different DJs every saturday night excluding his monthly residency, which i rarely ever missed. Djs like Tom Stephan, Offer Nissim, Hector Fonseca, Cajjmere Wray, Stephan Grondin and another favorite, DJ Paulo, all gave it a go in Stereo. It was a time of change in the New York City night life and the house music scene. With the closing of the Roxy which felt more glamorous at times, this venue had a much more grimy dark underground feel to it... with beats to match. A set I originally titled New Electrotribe Mix in 2007, I now dedicate to Peter and the DJs that made the Work parties in Stereo such a success.   

Peter Rauhofer is a Legend. His music has inspired and touched so many people, myself included! I consider myself blessed to have experienced the master at "Work" on many occasions. Limelight, Roxy, Stereo, Highline Ballroom, Roseland Ballroom, Cielo, Water taxi Beach, Santos Party House, District 36, XL and Pacha are some of the many New York nightclubs/venues i've sweated it out on the the dance floor to Peter's beats. I listened, I learned and I am truly greatful to have been inspired by such a great talent over the past 11 years. As for this podcasts, It's a little something i put together back in 2006-2007 as a tribute to Peter, but i chose not to release it out of respect. Now with his passing i am releasing it to honor him and carry on his legacy. This mix leans towards the Stereo/Highline Ballroom WORK party era.
