This week we have a guest mix from the past. This is a mix tape my dad made some time in the late 80s I reckon. To help celebrate his 70th birthday this week, I thought it'd be nice to upload it. The tape is solid 60s girl group action. Short 3 minute pop perfections. The tape is literally a tape, so excuse the hiss, crackle and squiffyness at times. That's what tapes sound like kids. Spring has sprung. And here's some music for it. The kind of music that should accompany video of bluebell springing up in forests and little fawns tenderly taking there first steps. Nice stuff.

Straight up old 90s hip-hop. Mellow stuff, but all NY style 90s hip-hop. The odd other bit, like the Ennio Morricone thing at the start. But it is all basically all, 15+ year old hip-hop.

Lazy.fm Cooking Beats 24 is a bit of a soul sesion. Souled out as Mrs D said. Some soulful and boogieful sounds from the 70s, 80s, 00s and 10s... I think. But whenever they're from they are nice groovy bits.
