AOtP welcomes the multi-award-winning Steve Hill, killer one-man blues/funk/jazz/classical/prog-rock guitarist, to groove on his latest album, Hanging on a String, described by critics as "the year's must-have blues album." In addition to learning why Steve prefers to look at the album as straight-up rock-and-roll, drawing on his many aforementioned influences, we also get to know what it was like working with acclaimed producer Darrell Thorp (Foo Fighters, Radiohead, Paul McCartney) at Dave Grohl's famed Studio 606; the ups and downs of making music videos; his ever-growing upcoming tour of Canada; and even about the hot sauce and comic books he's had available at his official stevehillmusic.com site.

Southern California rockers the Carry-On Band took a break getting ready for their upcoming show opening for the Motels to talk about their No Time for Warning debut album. Veterans of the LA scene, members Mark Prudeaux (vocals), Pete Sarenana (guitars), and Adam Ponce (drums) discuss what brought their diverse styles together, working with legendary drummer and producer Simon Phillips, successfully making the move from covers to original material, and the art of crafting the perfect three-and-a-half-minute song.

Team AOtP travels back to merry Christmas childhood mornings and wish-lists fulfilled +1 toy they wanted yet never received, no matter how much they stayed on Santa's "Nice" side.

  AOtP kicks off December with a smorgasbord of eclectic delicacies, from an extension of Ep 320's post-election elation through the team's entertainment listening habits; the first s-e-x scenes they saw on the big screen; Marty's next tattoo; the Lucero and Vandoliers double-bill (and next-day Vandoliers private party) which kicked the usual Phoenix Crescent Ballroom face-melting; and the "500 Days of Silence" documentary.

Team AOtP looks back on the results of Election Day 2024, with Jim and Eric sharing their respective stories in the 11/5 polling trenches before breaking down what led to President Trump's landslide victory for all Americans in search of a brighter future ... and how the Republican majority in the House and Senate should learn from past missteps when responding to such a resounding will of We the People, who should also remember to hold politicians' feet to the fire just in case.

Mike Weinstein from the Boys' Burger Club, who are changing the world one bun at a time, doesn't think fried (or any kind of) egg belongs on a burger, but he'll only look at you funny (or maybe scowl) if that's your preference. Mike also tells us about the founding of the Club, its monthly mission to dine at the Phoenix area's finest burger joints, and how the Club gives back to the community at their meet-ups. If you're in the Phoenix area on Friday, December 6th, be sure to join the Boys' Burger Club for their 7th year anniversary, taking place at Aioli Gourmet Burgers' location on the northwest corner of 32nd and Shea, 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM! They are collecting new blankets for the Be Kind Foundation's blanket drive benefitting Hanging onto Hope, who focus on helping victims of domestic violence and abuse.

Musician and producer Danny Saber returns to AOtP to update us on the success of the Michael Hutchence "One-Way"/"Save My Life" picture disc released earlier this year, and how its popularity spurred Danny to release a maxi-CD single of "One-Way," bringing in some amazing friends and re-mixers to honor Hutch's legacy!

AOtP gets political this Election Day, but nothing involving either candidate or parties. Rather, we opt for cinematic intrigue, espionage, terrorism, and the occasional explosion before an appreciation of the David Zucker-directed "An American Carol," oft-maligned but deserving of more love than it initially received.
