Onstage with Jim and Tom welcomes Petaluma Mayor David Glass. This is part one of a two-part series where we get to know the candidates for Petaluma Mayor in the 2014 election. We have asked the candidates to keep politics out of the conversation and will instead focus on biography, philosophies, interests, careers, family and Petaluma. Onstage with Jim and Tom welcomes David Luning, one of Tom’s “favorite songwriters in Sonoma County right now.” Topics include his experience on American Idol, his acting, Americana, independent booking agencies, success and his path so far. Plus, he shares a few songs.

Jim and Tom have the honor of hosting Dylan & Lester Chambers on the stage at the Phoenix on this episode. Lester was the lead singer of The Chambers Brothers and his son leads Dylan Chambers and the Midnight Transit. Both Lester and Dylan are musically active in 2014. Lance Ozanix formed the legendary metal band Skitzo in 1980 and continues to play in 2014. He’s recorded 19 studio albums and cycled through 175 band members in those 33 years. Lance visits Onstage with Jim and Tom to reflect on the music, the vomit, the groupies, Jerry Springer, Judge Judy, Ripley’s Believe It Or Not, Sam Kinison’s wake and playing with Skitzo for another thirty years.

Dominic Davi was introduced to punk rock over twenty years ago at the Phoenix Theater and he has returned to the building as a guest on Onstage with Jim and Tom. Dominic founded Tsunami Bomb and Love Equals Death. We talk about the rise and fall of these bands, his time in Headboard, his current projects, infamy and his side of the story.

Jim and Tom welcome Gabe Meline (Santiago, former editor of the Bohemian), Sara Sanger (The New Trust) and Steve Choi (RX Bandits) to Onstage. Toast Machine has reunited! Gio and Paige stop by Onstage with Jim and Tom to discuss their return, their favorite moments, their future plans, the transition from Brandon to Paige, Gio’s time in Brothers Comatose and the excitement of growing up playing music.

Three generations of Phoenix sound staff join Onstage with Jim and Tom. Jim and Tom welcome Josh Staples (The New Trust, The Velvet Teen) and Josh Drake (Pandacide, Punk Slam Pro Wrestling, Santiago) to the show. Topics include their work with KWTF, stories from the road, growing up in a town with some magical places, creating things, chasing dreams, current projects and the general "stokedtuitiveness" that fuels it all. Also, Tom tells us about his arrest at the hands of "The Glove" and the time he first encountered Nazis in Nevada City.

Jim and Tom talk with Brown Bags (Robert McLean, Andrew Thompson, James Ryall, Skyler Coleman) onstage at the Phoenix Theater.
