There was another school shooting in Tennessee last week. Evelyn Dieckhaus, 9; Mike Hill, 61; William Kinney, 9; Katherine Koonce, 60; Cynthia Peak, 61; and Hallie Scruggs, 9. Mike walks us through the event itself, scripture being bastardized in response and what the Bible actually says about violence. Lord, we grieve so heavily, again, over this loss of precious and innocent life. We pray that their communities would come alongside them, love and sit with them. We pray that we do not grow calloused and accepting of this continuing and escalating violence. Father, we ask that you would soften the hearts and open the eyes of your people. That they would see this violence for what it is. That they would choose life and the edification of humanity over rights and tools of destruction Father, we pray that you would give courage and integrity to those we have chosen to lead. Give them discernment and clarity, wisdom and empathy. Father, allow them to see these tragedies for what they are and to act according

Revelation - Part Three: Apocalypse. This episode, Mike and Tim begin a conversation on 'genre,' and how the original audience understood and entered into the 'apocalyptic literature' of Revelation. Women, Theology & Leadership. Meet one of our new favorite guests, Dr. Lynn Cohick. Dr. Cohick joins us to dive deeper into the scripture commonly used to advocate for women's non leadership roles in the Church. Dr. Cohick walks us through the broader context around Paul's letters and Genesis, specific women and the roles they played in early Church history and how Paul broke social constructs to advocate for Kingdom Dynamics. It's a really wonderful conversation!
