In this podcast we take a look at the resurgence of video games as the scapegoat for violence. With the latest shooting tragedy in America hitting the headlines recently, once again our favourite hobby has been pulled into the spotlight. But haven't we been here before? The monthly PS Plus games can be something of a mixed bag at times - one month you'll get a bundle of games that you can't wait to get stuck into, another month you're delivered a right old load of tosh. You never really know which way it's going to go... So, this month, March 2018, we get Bloodborne and Ratchet and Clank, two PS4 exclusives that should please all subscribers (well, those that don't already have them), as well as a few others. Andy and Jack chat about the month's line up, and the announcement that Sony will be ditching PS3 & Vita titles from next year. Fresh from the Christmas break, Jack and Andy kick off their gaming year with Okami HD, a new, old game from Capcom. Originally released in 2006 on the PS2, this cel-shaded Wolf-em-up takes more than a few cues from a little game you might have heard called Zelda. So has the game stood the test of time, or is it one that's best left in the past? We chat about the games highs and lows, struggle to remember the theme music from Tony Hart's Vision On, and get attacked by a parakeet. Wow, what a show!

Supermassive games have been busy bunnies in the last few years, knocking our QorC fave, Until Dawn, as well as a VR only spin off in Rush of Blood, and now Hidden Agenda, part of Sony's 'Playlink', mobile-controlled titles. Intended for more casual audiences, the game promises a short romp through a police procedural drama, as you help out in the hunt for The Trapper, a serial killer with a snappy name and a penchant for convulted murder methods. Ever seen Saw? Well, it's kind of like that... Jack and Andy have retired to a London pub to chat about the game, and if it can deliver on the promise of a tense, crime drama that even your Granny can play. Microsoft has launched its Xbox One X console, a mid-generation upgrade to the original Xbox One. With 4K gaming and 6 teraflops (6!), it's a hell of a machine. Microsoft boldy claim it's the most powerful console ever, and who are we to dispute that? But what does all this gaming power mean, and also, just what is a teraflop? The QorC gang take a look at Dishonored: Death of the Outsider, a spin off story in the Dishonored franchise that gives side character Billie Lurk a chance to shine. It's a shorter experience at a budget price, so can it deliver on the massive promise of the series in the same way the previous games have, or will it seem too slight? Wa-hey, a new Uncharted game! Can't wait to see what scrapes Drake is going to get into this time...wait, who's this? Chloe?  Yep, it's time for a spin off in the Uncharted series, and it's Chloe Frazer's turn to take the reigns, an old flame of Drake's. The latest adventure from Naughty Dog is a smaller affair than usual, but it's still a meaty game, and hits all the same notes (good and bad) of the series. Stories Untold is a game that harks back to the text adventures of old, but it's no one trick pony.
