Darren worked as a musician and sound engineer, touring world with acts such as The Killers, Jane's Addiction, Placebo, and US indie band Stellastarr*, which is where he met their lead singer Shawn. When Shawn decided he wanted to make movies, Darren began scoring them for him, including the movie Curfew, which not only won the Oscar for 'Best Live Action Short Film' in 2012, but also has won over 40 other awards.     We are back for episode 101, and if you're a gaming fan, we have a huge treat for you! Along with all the usual tv chat, news and air date information, this week's guest is somewhat gaming royalty. Hitman's David Bateson, the voice of Agent 47 himself! David is a South African actor, born to English parents who now lives in Denmark. He’s worked across film, tv and theatre, but what we know and love him best for, is his voice work as Agent 47 in the long running Hitman video games. He has voiced the character since it’s inception in the year 2000, and, as far as we can tell, he is one of the longest serving voice actors in gaming history. We got to talk to him about his work, how the character has evolved, and some of his favourite scenes in the games.     We're a little bit late this week, but to make up for it, we have a brilliant interview with Barry Robison, the Production Designer for the 6 x Oscar Nominated Hacksaw Ridge! HACKSAW RIDGE is the extraordinary true story of Desmond Doss (BAFTA winner and Golden Globe nominee Andrew Garfield) who, in Okinawa during the bloodiest battle of WWII, saved 75 men without firing or carrying a gun. He was the only American soldier in WWII to fight on the front lines without a weapon, as he believed that while the war was justified, killing was nevertheless wrong. As an army medic, he single-handedly evacuated the wounded from behind enemy lines, braved fire while tending to soldiers and was wounded by a grenade and hit by snipers. Doss was the first conscientious objector awarded the Congressional Medal of Honour. You may recognise Maude from her role as Kat Ashley in The Tudors, but more likely you’ll know her as Helga, wife of Floki in the brilliant Vikings, which airs on Amazon Prime Video and the History Channel in the UK. She is a graduate from London’s Italia Conti school, and founded Tuppence Films, which specialises in producing work with strong female leads, including the 2013 feature film, Smoke. We have a long chat with the man behind the music not only for Joss Whedon's brilliant Firefly tv series, but also the composer of the soundtracks for Naughty Dog's Uncharted video games, Greg Edmonson. Greg moved to LA as a session guitar player, before landing a scoring job with animation company Hanna Barbera. From there he moved on to working with Hollywood uber-composer, the multiple Emmy-winner Mike Post. He is the man responsible for many of the the tv themes we know and love, including The A-Team, Magnum, P.I., NYPD Blue, Hill Street Blues, and The Rockford Files. After leaving Mike's wing, Greg worked on Mike Judge's long-running animated series, King of the Hill, before coming to a little sci-fi series from Joss Whedon... Firefly.
