As we continue our series "Living a powerful life"knowing what Christ did on the cross is essential to our Christian faith but livingit is practicing our faith. In Genesis 12 , Abraham was made a promise that was based on his obedience and his faith. We have a promise fulfilled in Christ that we must walk out with obedience and faith.

There is no doubt we find ourselves in a daily conflict with our enemy, Satan. Even though we know Christ has won the victory, that doesn't stop the enemy from drawing us into battle. John 10:10 reveals that the enemy has come to steal, kill and destroy and he does it all through lies and deception. I believe the main thing the enemy tries to strip from us is our courage; our courage to trust God.

In the few minutes that we have together today, I want to highlight the important principle of not living a self centered life. While pursuing the desire to live a powerful life, a sef centered life will never bring the change or revival what we desire to see in our generation.

This Sunday we turn to this familiar passage Luke 4:18-19 as Jesus begins his public ministry, clearly proclaims his earthly mission statement. He announces that he has come to set the captives free.

We need to know what our place in the body of Christ is. What was God's purpose in creating each individual human? As so often seen today, the ways of this world are the wrong ways and bring destruction. We as Christians have the The Perfect WAY as our example as to how to live powerful lives. Let's go out and serve in power.

Hope always emerges from a place of relationship, as it says in Collisions 1:27 , it is "Christ in you, the hope of glory."

Today we pick up where Rifle and Tiffany left off from last week on their testimony about how they came to the U.S. and how Jesus delivered them step by step

Rifle and his wife Tiffany were told more than once they would not be aloud to have permission to come to the United States. However for two weeks they will testify how God moved things to bring them here. Luke 1;37 rings so true in all of this;"For with God nothing is impossible."
