Dave challenges us to answer questions including ‘Why does it matter?’ and ‘Why should I follow him?’ By saying that he and God are one and the same, Jesus only gives us three options – that he is a liar, a lunatic, or Lord. Mary looks into what Jesus meant when, in John 14, he promised to send another helper to be with us forever: the Holy Spirit. Mary reminds us that the Holy Spirit is a gift – all we need to do is ask and God will give it. In a world where we are constantly bombarded with images of how we should look, Dave reminds us that the Bible tells us that when Jesus comes again and we get to heaven, our bodies will be transformed. Do we value our young people? Do we understand that they have a ministry from a young age? In Biblical times, children did incredible things from a young age. This year marks 20 years of Jubilee Church Wirral, with our first meeting having taken place on April 20th 2023. Dave Frodsham talks about how our original vision – To be a growing church reaching out into the Wirral and beyond, seeing lives changed – has not changed very much since then, because although we change, God stays the same.
