Dave Frodsham: Who is Jesus? He is the speaking one
10/09/2023 Duración: 42minDave continues our “Who is Jesus?” series by looking at John 4:1-30. It can be hard to talk to people we don’t know or who we feel we don’t have anything in common with. It can be even harder to talk to people we don’t know – or even those that we do know – about Jesus and what he has done in our lives. And yet that it was Jesus calls us to do. We need to be confident in sharing how he has helped us and how he can help others. https://jubileechurchwirral.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Dave-Frodsham-Who-is-Jesus-He-is-the-speaking-one.mp3 The post Dave Frodsham: Who is Jesus? Dave Frodsham: Who is Jesus? He is the resurrection and the life
27/08/2023 Duración: 39minDave continues our “Who is Jesus?” series by looking at John 11:17-44. Dave looks at the story of Lazarus and reminds us that Jesus has a plan; He knows what’s ahead. We can trust Him. When we encounter God’s delays, it isn’t because He doesn’t love us. We are all affected by death – it is a shadow upon our lives. We need to be ready and have faith as we walk into those things. We shouldn’t accept death as something natural – it wasn’t God’s original purpose. Eternal life was. That’s why we struggle with it – because something in us rejects it. Instead of trying to accept death as something natural, we should: Grieve with faith and hope Know God’s love Accept God’s grace Questions to consider: 1. Jesus delays leaving to see Lazarus when he hears he is ill. What delays have you experienced / are experiencing and how have you dealt with it? 2. What differences do you see in how Martha and Mary interact with Jesus after the loss of their brother? What can we learn from them? (1 Thes 4:13-14) 3. What

Dave Frodsham: Who is Jesus? He is the true vine
13/08/2023 Duración: 43minDave continues our “Who is Jesus?” series by looking at John 15:5-8. Sylvia Billington: Who is Jesus? The restorer of the kingdom of God
06/08/2023 Duración: 42minSylvia continues our series looking at the different facets of Jesus’ personality by looking at how Jesus is the restorer of the kingdom of God. Jesus came not to share about faith, or preach, but to restore the kingdom of God. During the three years that Jesus preached, he only preached about the kingdom of God. When God created man, he had a plan. He wanted to bring His kingdom to earth. He created man in His own image and likeness to rule and dominate over every living thing. That is why He created every one of us. Genesis 1:26-28 (AMP): Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the cattle, and over the entire earth, and over everything that creeps and crawls on the earth.” So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them. And God blessed them [ and said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subjugat

Denise Griffiths: Jesus the Good Shepherd
30/07/2023 Duración: 31minDenise continues our series on who Jesus was by looking at how Jesus is our good shepherd. Abraham was a shepherd and the patriarch of the Jewish nation. Moses tended his flock for 40 years before God asked him to go back and rescue his people. King David was a shepherd boy before he was a warrior and a king. Shepherds were the first to see the newborn baby Jesus. In John 10, Jesus says that he is our good shepherd, who lays down his life for the sheep. Denise goes into what that means for us; ultimately that Jesus will take you home to his house, to dwell with him forever. https://jubileechurchwirral.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Denise-Griffiths-Jesus-the-Good-Shepherd.mp3 The post Denise Griffiths: Jesus the Good Shepherd first appeared on Jubilee Church Wirral.

Vernon Martin – Who is Jesus? Our living stone
23/07/2023 Duración: 37minVernon continues our series looking at the different facets of Jesus’ personality by looking at 1 Peter 2: 1-12: Jesus is our living stone. We are too weak in our own understanding to live a life which glorifies God – it is only through Him and in his strength that we can do those things. https://jubileechurchwirral.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Vernon-Martin-Jesus-is-our-living-stone.mp3 The post Vernon Martin – Who is Jesus? Rick Robertson – Jesus the Seed
16/07/2023 Duración: 41minIf a seed is not sewn then it remains a single seed, whereas if it dies and is sewn it becomes many seeds. In the same way, Jesus needed to die in order for his ministry to grow across the world. Rick challenges us about how willing we are to make our faith public even if it costs us. It cost Jesus his life – what are we willing to sacrifice? https://jubileechurchwirral.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Rick-Robertson-Jesus-the-Seed.mp3 The post Rick Robertson – Jesus the Seed first appeared on Jubilee Church Wirral.

09/07/2023 Duración: 36minGuest speaker, Charlotte Webb, founding member of Jubilee Church Liverpool, on being a crew member in church rather than a passenger. Mark Saunders – Being an ambassador for God
02/07/2023 Duración: 35minGuest speaker, evangelist Mark Saunders, on how we are all called to be ambassadors for God – using ourselves as vessels for his word. That’s every single one of us – whatever we think of ourselves. We might think we’re not good enough to be used by God but that’s not true – that’s a lie that is coming straight from the devil. Mark reminds us that when God looks at us, he doesn’t just see the sin in us, he sees his son – Jesus. And his son says you’re enough! At the end of the talk, Mark invites anyone who wants to give their lives to Jesus to come forward. If Mark’s message inspires you to give your life to Him, that’s amazing news! To talk to someone about your decision, please get in touch with us by visiting our website at jubileechurchwirral.org.uk or by emailing rick@jubileechurchwirral.org.uk. Rick Robertson – A longing for home
25/06/2023 Duración: 38minRick talks about how, as Christians, we don’t have a physical home as such – Jesus himself is our home. Psalm 137 tells us that wherever we are, we can call it home and continue to worship God; we CAN still sing the songs of the Lord while in a foreign land. Rick also touches upon Hebrews 11: 8-10; 13:16. https://jubileechurchwirral.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Rick-Robertson-A-longing-for-home.mp3 The post Rick Robertson – A longing for home first appeared on Jubilee Church Wirral.

Vernon Martin – Who is Jesus? Our model for Biblical manhood
18/06/2023 Duración: 39minOn Father’s Day 2023, Vernon talks about how Jesus is our model for Biblical manhood. Vernon goes into how there are two areas where we are called to be disciples: – Our homes – The world Vernon talks about how our homes should be filled with Christ and our marriages too. Husbands should lay down their lives for Christ in the home because that is their role; it is their responsibility to bring the gospel into their homes. https://jubileechurchwirral.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Vernon-Martin-Jesus-is-our-model-for-Biblical-manhood.mp3 The post Vernon Martin – Who is Jesus? Dave Frodsham – Who is Jesus? Son of God, son of man, son of David
11/06/2023 Duración: 44minDave continues the ‘Who is Jesus?’ series with a look at Jesus as son of David. Although Jesus is the son of God and son of man, He is also the son of David. Dave goes into how we need to accept the Old Testament prophecies about Christ – as Bartimaeus does in Mark 10: 47. We need to accept Jesus as who He is, not who we want Him to be. https://jubileechurchwirral.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Dave-Frodsham-Who-is-Jesus-Son-of-God-Son-of-Man-Son-of-David.mp3 The post Dave Frodsham – Who is Jesus? Chris Griffiths – Salt of the Earth
28/05/2023 Duración: 33minChris on being the salt of the earth and what that means Chris urges us to ask ourselves how salty we are and breaks the challenge of being salty down into three areas: Baptism, Prayer and Fellowship. Jesus was baptised, spent a lot of time in prayer and also spent a lot of time in fellowship with the disciples. If it was good enough for Jesus, shouldn’t it be good enough for us? https://jubileechurchwirral.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/Chris-Griffiths-Salt-of-the-Earth.mp3 The post Chris Griffiths – Salt of the Earth first appeared on Jubilee Church Wirral.

Vernon Martin – Who is Jesus? Our great high priest
21/05/2023 Duración: 47minVernon looks at two aspects of the priestly function in which Christ is infinitely better than the earthly high priest.’ The sacrifice for sin (Hebrews 9:25; 10:14; 1 Thessalonians 4:3-8) The intercession on behalf of the people (Hebrews 9:24; 1 John 2:1-2; Romans 8:34) Vernon looks at the meaning of intercession, and why it is a key part of our walk with God. https://jubileechurchwirral.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/Vernon-Martin-Who-is-Jesus-Our-great-high-priest.mp3 The post Vernon Martin – Who is Jesus? Chris talks about how Jesus transformed the disciples from fishermen to world changers and asks us: What did it look like? What can we learn from it? What do we need to do to emulate them? Chris talks about how Jesus taught his disciples to teach others the same things he taught them, how we are still on the same assignment today and how the Bible is a training manual to help us to do that. https://jubileechurchwirral.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/Chris-Butterworth-Trained-and-Deployed.mp3 The post Chris Butterworth – Trained and Deployed first appeared on Jubilee Church Wirral.
