Sinopsis

Welcome to the Gateway Church Podcast! We want to give you every opportunity to see that God loves you and has a plan for your life. Its our desire that you know God personally, and we would love to help you develop that relationshipone step at a time.As a growing and expanding spiritual community committed to helping people take a step in the right direction towards reaching their ultimate redemptive potential and purpose, we want to introduce people to God and help them develop a personal relationship with Him through His Son Jesus Christ. We desire to reach people with the message that God loves them and that a relationship with Him will transform their lives, enabling them to develop healthy, nurturing relationships with others. We continually endeavour to do this in ways that are both culturally relevant and spiritually dynamic.

December 4 - 18 & Christmas Eve There are movies and TV shows we always try to watch at Christmas time. Movies like A Christmas Carol, It’s a Wonderful Life, Miracle on 34 th Street, and Christmas Vacation. And shows like Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, and A Charlie Brown Christmas. Even though we love them, we all know they’re stories, made up in someone’s creative imagination. If you’ve ever read any of the Christmas stories in the collection of books called the bible, they feature characters like a girl named Mary, a guy named Joseph, shepherds, wise men, angels, and of course, a baby. Have you ever wondered, did an angel really appear to Mary? Did she really give birth to the Son of God? Did angels really announce it to shepherds? Did wise men really follow a star? This Christmas at Gateway Church we’re going to look at some of these advent stories in a new way. Part 1: God's Purpose Part 2: God's Pleasure Part 3: God's Presence Part 4: God's Peace

  • Reality

    27/11/2016

If you are like most people, every time you drive somewhere, you see construction. A second floor is being added to our facility, to provide more room for children, students, guests and the community. It’s been amazing to watch the various stages and see the building take shape. Our facility has a lot of character, with a unique and forward-thinking design. But right now that character is under construction, and when it’s all done, the entire character of our building will be changed, expanded, improved, far more useful and more potential to fulfill its purpose. Our lives are just like that. Every one of us has a certain character, formed over whatever years we’ve been alive on this earth. And sometimes that character needs to have some construction done on it. Throughout November we’re talking about “Character Under Construction”, focusing on our relationships, our resources, and the reality of who we really are. Part 1: Relationships - How I Care Part 2: Resources - What I Do Part 3: Reality - Who I

Back to the Bible, Season Two: Courage Stories When you were a kid, you had your favourite TV shows. Of course, you could catch them only when they were airing, and it didn’t matter if you missed some episodes. At some point someone thought of doing TV shows in seasons, in which a story would run for years, and eventually you could watch them anytime. And the stories were about danger, courage, relationships, mysteries, crime, love, good overcoming evil, and the human emotions that go with all of that. I don’t know if you’ve ever read any of the bible, but it’s a collection of books that contain some amazing stories, with some of the same themes! And you can catch episodes anytime! At Gateway Church we’re featuring an excellent series called Back to the Bible. Earlier this year we had Season One, called Love Stories, and now we’re offering Season Two, called Courage Stories. We invite you to join us on Sunday mornings from October 23rd to November 6th, to catch as many episodes as you can! Part 1: To Live

    16/10/2016

Pursuit is an all-ages conference created by Gateway Church with the goal of encouraging our entire church family to pursue a closer relationship with God. We learn from 2 Corinthians 3:16-18 that the more we turn to God and see Him face to face, the more He enters our lives, and the more we become like Him. “Whenever, though, they turn to face God as Moses did, God removes the veil and there they are—face-to-face! They suddenly recognize that God is a living, personal presence, not a piece of chiseled stone. And when God is personally present, a living Spirit, that old, constricting legislation is recognized as obsolete. We’re free of it! All of us! Nothing between us and God, our faces shining with the brightness of his face. And so we are transfigured much like the Messiah, our lives gradually becoming brighter and more beautiful as God enters our lives and we become like him.” – 2 Corinthians 3:18 (Messsage)

I remember the day I left for college. It was a long time ago, but I still remember everything about it: packing up my stuff, loading it into the car, saying goodbye to my mom, and pulling out of the driveway. It was really the first time I was away… from home. And of course my mom cried. But every time I came back for a weekend or school break or holidays, my mom would always say, “Welcome home.” What awesome words those are. And now as an adult, whenever my wife and I have people over to our home, we do everything we can to make them feel welcome, to feel like family, to feel at home. We say things like, “It’s good to get together! Make yourself at home. Can we get you anything? How is your family doing? Let’s do this again soon!” We want them to feel like they’re not just visiting, but are actually at home away from home. – Pastor Tim Schwindt At Gateway Church we want you to feel the same thing. We want to say, “Welcome home” to you! Part 1: It's good to be together! Part 2: Can we get you anything?
