IT IS THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN!!! What time of year is that you ask? Well, time for our very special THIS IS HARDCORE FEST EDITION!! We are hoping to make this our running tradition of setting up a table at the fest and asking folks to sit down for one to two questions and editing that into an episode for you all to enjoy! SOUND NOTES TO THE FRONT! Usually we address any and all sound issues at the end of the show notes, but we wanted to get at them first thing for a number of reasons. Recording at the fest is a LOT of fun, but it is a rough and tumble affair and it is easier to make mistakes then in a more controlled environment. So, the first thing you will notice is that our intro cuts short. That was a mistake of saving improperly, so we lose the meat of what Liam was saying, which of course doesn’t matter AT ALL, but we also missed out on all the thank you’s THANK YOU TO JOE AND CHRIS AND ALL THE STAFF OF THIS IS HARDCORE FEST FOR MAKING THIS HAPPEN AND ALLOWING US TO BE A PART OF IT LIAM

WELCOME CINEPUNX: HAVE WE GOT A SHOW FOR YOU! This week we were lucky enough to sit down with the venerable Johnpaul Golaski, (@johnpaul215 ) stalwart of the Philly punk scene, veteran of the awesome WKDU , creator of Philly Shreds (where I used to go for so much show information) and freelance sound engineer for a number of movies and TV shows Johnpaul is a true Cinepunk in that he is both more punk than either of us, and ACTUALLY involved in creating cinema. So that is pretty amazing. Johnpaul has been involved at the amazing WKDU for 20 years and you can hear his show 1100ccs Of Hate on Sunday nights from 10pm to midnight. He is also a fun and interesting guy to talk to, and we had a wonderful conversation with him. Thanks Johnpaul for being a part of the show, for some sound equipment advice, and for maybe having us over to WKDU sometime (which I have never been to). HERE WE GO AGAIN, ANOTHER RAUCOUS AND RUDE EPISODE OF CINEPUNX!!! Actually, this episode is neither raucous nor rude, but hopefully it is entertaining. Welcome to the latest re-imaging of the 80s classic, CINEPUNX! In this creative new vision we have cast Liam in the role of Ricky Martin, and Josh in the role of Weng Weng! Ok wait no, this is the episode where we discuss remakes, in depth, and with our friend Jackee Sadicario! You may know Jackee from the literary magazine Bedfellows which is exactly what it sounds like. We think it sounds awesome, so that is what it is. Jackee is also a long time fixture in the Hardcore scene, and though she is from Long Island, has been in Philly for 8 years. Being from Long Island, she cannot help but discuss Crime in Stereo on the show, but we love her anyway.
