What Trends are Done? Let's talk about the trends that are over. Remember when buying trendy decor, it's best to not spend too much on home decor trends. If it's super hot today, then it will be out in a few years. You don't want to be ripping out your kitchen counter top every 5 years or even your sofa. We suggest going with classics for your big ticket items, then buy inexpensive items that are on trend, so it's not a large amount of money. Then when the trend is over, you won't be sad. We're seeing ikat and trellis fabric going good-bye. Accent walls, macrame, cherry cabinets and inexpensive reproduction farmhouse decor is all out. If you have something that is on the 'out' list, but you still love it, then keep it. Don't feel like you have to stay current with trends, if that doesn't work for you.
