Let Us Reason - A Christian/muslim Dialogue

Al Fadi and Dr Jay Smith continue their discussion about the many projects that Jay has been involved in including the location of Mecca, the Aramaic origins of the Quran, the Zam Zam well, and what happened  between the years 622-749 AD of Islamic history.  Al encourages his listeners to support both his and Jay's channels through Patrion.  Jay emphasizes that he only accepts support from Christians, and goes on to say he is a third generation faith missionary.  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Jay says that the pandemic increased the number of people watching his u-tube videos about Islam.  He goes on to say that the goal is to historically critique the man, the book, and the place ( Mohammad, the Quran and Mecca) .  Jay is involved with other French, British, and German scholars who studied the same subject before him to learn from their findings.  The object is to sift the SIN to take what is coming out from the other end ( the Bible) and throw away what is left behind.  The goal is to simplify it to the average person to bring Muslims to Christ. Al Fadi continues his discussion with the Panelists: 1. Thomas is working on a book to summarize 20 years of research. He also says the Quran has not gone through a historical criticism . 2. Mel thinks that the most damaging findings of the SIN is the stations of Abraham being in Hijaz, It has no Biblical support.  3. Murad says the Bible is history, and if the Kaaba is in Mecca why haven't the Jews lay any claim to it? 4. Oden says that there is no evidence that the Quran is an Islamic text, rather it is a product of other books mainly the Torah.  5.  Paul says that the Quran was not supposed to be recited alone, but with other books(ie; OT, NT). 6.  Jay says that the Quran is a historical narrative of a 7th century environment of sectarian groups waiting for Jesus' return. Al Fadi continues his interviews with guest speakers about SIN.  He starts with 1. Thomas Alexander from Germany who studied the Aramaic origin of the Quran.  2. Mel, who studied the Greek influence on SIN.  3. Murad, who focuses on the Aramaic meaning of the Quran, especially the first sura , which he says that it does not focuses on oneness but on trinity.  4.  Jay, Focuses on the Aramaic and Syriac languages of the Quran.  5. Oden, covers the big picture of who is kalif Abdu Al- Malik and what was his role.  6. Paul, who focuses on the Jerusalem theory. Al Fadi talks to Jay Smith, Oden, and Paul about the SIN.  Oden wrote a book in French called; The Great Secret of Islam.  It talks about the big picture when Islam emerged between the7-9 century.  Paul wrote the Jerusalem thesis.  He says that the Quran is very different book from what Muslims think.  For example when the Quran refers to Al Masjed al haram it really refers to the Jerusalem temple not al Ka'ba in Mecca as Muslim think. Al and Mel continue to add more examples of the Standard Islamic Narrative that was fabricated to match stories from the Bible: 1. Mohammad's dad taking him to the Ka'ba to thank God for him; like Simeon in the Temple giving thanks to God for seeing baby Jesus.  2.  Mohammad's foster mother looking for babies to nurse riding on a donkey; like Mary the mother of Jesus riding on a donkey.  3. The rehash of the story of the transfiguration by saying that when Mohammad went to the temple he found Abraham, Moses and Jesus.  4. Al Fadi and Mel point out the problems with the Cira (the biography) according to the Standard Islamic Narrative(SIN). First they point out that the Cira was written by two different authors between a hundred and two hundred years after the death of Mohammad.  Second they point out that the Cira borrows a lot from the Bible, both Old and New testaments; examples; A. Comparing Mohammad to Moses by saying that Mohammad did not enter Jerusalem like Moses never entered the promised land. B. Claiming that Mohammad is a descendant of Abraham through Ishmael. like Jesus was through Isaac.  C. Comparing Mohammad's Mom with Mary the mother of Jesus in Luke 1:43,by saying that a light was shining through her that lit in Syria. and the Cira says that tonight a star has risen; a child named Ahmed; like it is written  in Matthew 2 where the star stayed where the child(Jesus) was. Al Fadi says that he is starting a new series on why the standard Islamic narrative is sketchy.  Today he is discussing with brother Mel some of the reasons.  1. The idea that Mohammad was born in the year of the elephant.  2. Mohammad banning the worship of images and idols.  3. The location of Al Masjed Al Haram.  4. Al Fadi continues his conversation with the hosts of Somali Christian TV You Tube channel.  They share that Somalis are afraid to leave Islam because they are afraid to be killed, and we need to pray for them not to fear.  We also need to pray against Somali young men killing X -Muslims and other people in the west.  The hosts of this channel expose the deception of Islam and preach the good news of Jesus, because that is how they came to Christ.   See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Al Fadi interviews Shino and Shania, the hosts of Somali Christian TV.  They are Ex Muslims who are reaching out to their fellow Somali people with the message of the good news of salvation.  They are under attack online from Somali Muslims and other Muslims who do not like their message, and also receive death threats, so they keep moving from place to place.  Al Fadi encourage Christians to support, subscribe to their U -Tube channel, and listen to their videos and liking it.  They are seeing fruit of mainly  Somali youth  coming to the Lord. Al Fadi continues last weeks discussion by talking about three main challenges in producing his videos: 1. Raising money . 2. Finding the right topic. 3. The content; finding meaningful topics.  Some of the topics of the Arabic videos that he did are: fear, loneliness, having the peace of Christ , and our identity in Christ.  He also mentions that he is going to do more videos on : 1. the books of the Bible. 2. "2021 was the most successful year ever", Al Fadi says.  Here is a summary: 1. Launched Arabic media work and videos.  2. Recorded more than 75 Arabic and 120 English videos.  3. Sixty people accepted Christ from Yemen.  4. Partnered with a second satellite ministry.  5.  Launched an every other week Bible study to disciple new believers from Muslim countries.  6. Al Fadi reads Luke 2 :4-19, the narrative of the birth of Jesus.  He compares it to what he used to think Christmas was before he became Christian.  The angels announced the birth of the Savior of the world which fulfilled many old testament prophecies, ie Isaiah 9:6-7.  The greatest gift of all was God giving us Jesus to save us from our sins and so we can have peace with God and others. Mel and Al are discussing if the original site of Al Masjed AL Haram  was in Mecca of today or was it in Jerusalem. They say that Mecca did not exist in the 8th century. They also say that the Jews had three feast that they referred to as Haj to the Temple Mount. Mount Moriah is the site of the Temple Mount where Abraham was going to offer his son as a sacrifice. Al and Joel discuss the Islamic end times, in particular the person of the antichrist which Muslim call Al-Dajjal.  Joel wrote a book called: "The Islamic Antichrist".  Who is this person in the eyes of Muslims?  He is the great deceiver, he is blind in one eye, he has the word kafir written on his forehead just to name a few.  They also think that he can deceive any Muslim and the way to protect themselves against him is to memorize a certain chapter of the Quran and were a special necklace. Some modern day Muslim teachers say that he will be followed by; Zionist Jews, Trinitarian Christian, and women and that is how they will recognize him.  It is sad to see how Muslims have been taught to think that the antichrist is the Christian coming Messiah. According to Islam Djinn (Ginn) ;also known as genies are not human, but spirits that have a free will to believe or not. Muslims are afraid of them and a lot of them have violent encounter with them.  The Quran mentions Djinn in Sura 72, It says that they are different than angels.  Christians believe that they are demons and we have the power to pray and set people free from that.  Missionaries do that in Middle Eastern countries.  The Gospel has the power to set people free.
