  • Mark Delaney "Parenting" | July 2016

    22/07/2016 Duración: 47min

Mark Delaney Bible Teacher at Lincoln Christian School "Parenting" Is there a more important thing in life than the position of leadership in the home of a father? Keep Jesus in the home, keep your family in church. Take them to God's house. Kids put pressure on themselves. They believe they have to be great at something or anything right now. Not true! Parenting is like a farmer: Kids ages birth-12: "Preparing the ground" 1. Respect 2. Telling the truth 3. Don't steal YOU MUST TEACH KIDS THESE VALUES AT THESE AGES! It's near to impossible to begin to teach respect to a 14 yr. old. If you have one of these two things wrong in your life, you have one foot in hell: Do you lie? Do you steal? Discipline is a process; not an event. Kids ages 13-18: "Seed time" 1. Spread the seed. a) Don't put all the seeds in one part of the field. b) Families should not be chasing kids; have kids chase the family. 2. Empowering your kids; boundaries are relaxed a bit. Adulthood: "Harvest" Only three things

  • Brian Jobe "Ask, Seek, Knock" | June 3, 2016

    03/06/2016 Duración: 38min

Brian and his wife Jamie (AKA JJ) have been leaders in our church for years. Volunteering in almost every department and now leading the leaders of our Men’s and Women’s Small Groups. Brian Jobe is a father of 3, and works at Kaiser Francis Oil Company. To say he loves the outdoors is probably the understatement of the year. Brian started a ministry to men, called MOUNTAIN MEN, which is growing exponentially. Breakfast notes: Things i.e. cars, houses, jobs, accomplishments, or even people can't get give you fulfillment. They ultimately cannot satisfy your soul. Matt. 22:37 - Love the Lord your God with all you heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. Is the thing we are asking for from God lined up with His will? Are we asking the right questions? Our Creator created or designed us all with our own individual purpose. Example: You can’t make a minivan a sports car. The manufacturer designed it to haul people, not race around the track at the Indy 500. Matt. 7:7-12 – ASK. SEEK. KNO

He has an amazing story of God's redemption and how He has brought him to where he is today. His passions are his family (including his three successful sons), hot rods, and pouring into young men. Below are Randy DeBell's notes. Speaker: Randy Debell, Church on the Move, Manager of Operations May 6th, 2016 "Real Men are Dam Builders" The dam blocks off the torrential waters of the enemy. Isaiah 59:19 "...when the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard (dam) against him." The enemy wants you dead, diseased, and addicted. Don't curl up and take what the enemy dishes out. We don't have to take it! NO WE DON'T! Fear can physically grip you, but God's Word is always true. Men be the lead, be the priest of the home, be men. Take control. Spiritual dams are built with time with the Lord. Matthew 6:33 - Seek first the kingdom of
