This morning I want to begin a two part series of messages on Mothers. Welcome to the House of Hope Radio Ministry program...... Please tun your Bibles to John 19:25-27.... There are many places in the Bible where we could look and find guidance about how to love our Mothers. But, in this one small section of scripture, Jesus gives us great insight into the way our earthly Mothers are to be regarded and cared for.

Welcome to the House of Hope! The notion of sin and the nature of sin have been debated from the beginning of time, and that debate continues today. Sin presents itself in the mind, manifests itself in word and deed, and is hidden in the heart of everyone. It will overtake the man and women who refuse to believe it will conquer them. The Bible says that the whole world is a prisoner of sin. Sin has crippled human nature, but God has provided the cure. There is no sin that the blood of Jesus Christ cannot cleanse. And that’s good news indeed for a culture that still doesn’t know what to do with sin. All the distress, bitterness, heartache, shame and tragedy can be summed up in the three-letter word: Sin. Its meaning — to fall short of God’s standard and to do contrary to God’s law — has an impact on every soul and overflows the boundaries of the human heart. The previous verses tell us that all who have given their lives to Christ have the Holy Spirit of God living in them.

All of the committees, the resolutions, or the changes in governments don’t change society. If mankind is to be saved, something radical needs to happen. The forces building up in our world are so overwhelming that men and women everywhere are crying out in desperation. While so much in our world seems to improve, man doesn’t. We can send a spaceship into orbit but we can’t walk safely on the streets at night. The subtle sins of selfishness and indifference are everywhere. Seemingly upright men and women admit to desires of the grossest sort. And who is shocked anymore? Human viciousness breaks out as people steal, cheat, murder and rape.

This morning on the House of Hope radio ministry, the classroom of God, I want to share with you from Jeremiah 2:12-17. How Does God Define Sin? Sin is defined as 'missing the mark".....just as an arrow misses its target. God's holiness is the standard we are to meet, and we miss it when we sin. I beleive not enough is preached about sin and its consequences.

This week on The World We Live In, my guest is my Dear, Dear Friend Pastor Randall Floyd of the Clayton, New Mexico Assembly of God. Here in New Mexico we are facing legislation on abortion up-to-birth, assisted suicide, legalization of marijuana and other bills that are very concerning to Christians. Pastor Randall speaks to this in my interview with him. Pastor Randall has a correction for us: I stated that Cindy had to drive 2 miles one way to go to school and I should have said 2 hours, 125 miles.
