Across The Airwaves Episode 135.5 (Standard) "Continuum Catch-Up"
08/08/2013 Duración: 39minHello ATA Listeners, I know this episode comes somewhat out of order but with Michael and I being on vacation, there was some catching up we had to do on our Continuum watching. So on that note, we ask all of you to just play along with your imaginations as we travel back in time to review not just one but two episodes of Continuum, S02E07 Second Degree and S02E08 Second Listen. In addition, we discuss the advancements in Keira's relationship with Carlos now that he knows she's a time traveler, the back story behind Alec's girlfriend Emily, the quality of SyFy Channel's programming and briefly touch upon new sci-fi shows premiering in the fall such as Fox's Almost Human and CBS's Intelligence.

Across The Airwaves Episode 136 (Standard) "Get Back"
07/08/2013 Duración: 43minHey ATA Listeners, now that we have come back from trips to summer camp and Comic Con, this episode is all about getting our podcast back to where it belongs by reviewing our TV favorites that were also in search of some normalcy this week as the Falling Skies Season 3 Finale brought the show back to its roots of battling an alien invasion out on the open road. In addition, Continuum gave us an episode where Keira got on the wrong side of the law making us want to get back to her original war against terrorists from the future, Burn Notice gave us an indication that it's final season is about Michael fighting to get back his sanity and Under the Dome featured its characters wanting to get back some normalcy as the imprisoned citizens of a New England Town run out of food and water. Also be sure to keep an eye out for our 2013 Comic Con Special, Andy's Comic Con Interviews, Longbow Hunters: The Arrow Podcast's coverage of the Arrow Season 2 Panel, The DC Nation Podcast's Comic Con Special and the premiere of

ATA SDCC Interview: Jon Schnepp, Director of The Death of "Superman Lives", What Happened?
02/08/2013 Duración: 10minThroughout the past 20-something years, there have been so many superhero projects that started getting developed before ending up in development limbo and of them was "Superman Lives" - the project that had a script written by Kevin Smith before Nicholas Cage, who would have starred as the Man of Steel and would have been directed by Tim Burton, who had Smith's script re-written, both came on board. There has been so many questions throughout the years like "A giant spider?", "How?", "Why?" but most importantly, "What happened?" Filmmaker Jon Schnepp (Metalocalypse, Grimm Fairy Tales) is now directing a documentary called, The Death of "Superman Lives", What Happened?, which will explore what happened to that Superman project and ATA's Andy Behbakht got to talk with the director about his documentary at this year's San Diego Comic-Con. We would like to thank Mr. Schnepp for taking time to talk to us and if you are interested in following his project: check out the Kickstarter page, the project's Facebook pa

Across the Airwaves Episode 135 (Standard) "I'm Shipping up to Boston"
30/07/2013 Duración: 49minHi ATA Listeners, I know everything has kind of been all over the place with our podcast as I attended the wonderful Camp Horizon (which you can find out about supporting here) Michael visits Montana for the summer and Nico along with Andy went to San Diego Comic Con 2013. In fact, as a result of our travels this episode is going to be shorter than what you're used to expecting since we are only reviewing Falling Skies in our main section as well as two episodes of Burn Notice and Under the Dome in the Airwaves Rundown. Unfortunately, if you're looking for the continuation of our reviews on Continuum you're going to have to wait until Michael's schedule frees up for us to record Episode 135.5, which will cover the past two episodes of Continuum that I missed while being out of town. Although, don't let that make you think this episode is a complete waste of time as News with Nico features some mind blowing TV News that came out of Comic Con, which I'm hoping will put this podcast back in a straightforward di

Across the Airwaves Episode 134 (Standard) Nico Wants To Be a Comic Con Superhero
23/07/2013 Duración: 01h02minHey ATA Listeners, this week Dan goes on vacation to Camp and leaves Nico to take over the podcast like the Superhero he is, or at least the one he Cosplays at Comic Con, as he hosts the entire episode on his own. Although, with both Michael and Dan on vacation, Nico brought in a special guest, his Dad Bill Reifsteck to help discuss this week's episode of Falling Skies, where they discuss the possibility that Tom may still be in another layer of Inception like dream/nightmare or somehow still under the influence of Karen. Then Nico reviews this week's episode of Under the Dome and discusses his excitement with the possibility that the mystery of the Dome may finally lead to that classic Steven King twist we're hoping for, but also how he is disappointed with the scare-of-the-week style episodes we are getting with this show. Also, Nico changed up the format on News with Nico this week as he reported the news and his opinions about the Comic Con panels he attended while there on Friday and Saturday this ye

Across The Airwaves Episode 133 (Standard) "Surprise, Surprise"
16/07/2013 Duración: 01h35minHey ATA Listeners, this week our favorite summer shows said surprise, surprise as we were shocked by revelations that came from seeing through their character's lies with Paracelsus using Myka's cancer to pull the ultimate doublecross in the Warehouse 13 Season Finale, Keira's secret of being a time traveler threatening her partnership with Carlos on Continuum and Falling Skies revealing the identity of the true mole. In addition, the seeing through characters lies continued in our Airwaves Rundown Section as we reviewed the Defiance Season Finale where the Earth Republic revealed they weren't the saviors Datak used to get himself elected as mayor. Then, I took over to cover a Burn Notice episode that questioned if you can trust a sexy Russian spy, Nico took a crack at just who might not be forthcoming about why the people of a New England town are trapped Under the Dome and Woo gave us his thoughts on a classic example of a story about lies turning things for characters upside down, Shakespeare's Much Ado a

ATA Special Edition: Remembering Cory Monteith (Glee)
15/07/2013 Duración: 24minIt's never easy to accept when an amazing actor on one of your favorite TV shows passes away - last Saturday night (July 13, 2013) it was reported that 31-year old actor Cory Monteith (who portrayed Finn Hudson on FOX's musical show Glee) was sadly found dead in a hotel room in Vancouver. On this episode of ATA Special Edition, Andy Behbakht and Woo S. Kim joins to discuss some of Monteith's most memorable performances, his best songs, the most inspiring aspects about his character and much more as they pay tribute to a young strong actor that was sadly taken from us too early. Our thoughts goes out to Monteith's family, friends/co-stars, (including real life and TV girlfriend Lea Michelle who portrays Rachel Berry), everyone who works within the Glee production, Ryan Murphy & the creative team for their loss - R.I.P. Cory Monteith; a fantastic actor with a big heart (both on-and-off screen) who will be deeply missed.

08/07/2013 Duración: 01h59minListeners of Steel, we present to you a special edition episode of Across the Airwaves that is once again around one of the biggest movies of 2013: Man of Steel! On this special episode, Andy Behbakht returns to the microphone after a few weeks' absence with ATA creator Dan Schmidt and special guest host Chris Beck (@Chris_WeTalk on Twitter) who is a podcast co-host on the comic book podcast, "We Talk Comics" on wetalkpodcasts.com that is sponsored by Comicosity.com (that Andy has recently joined as a comic reviewer) which is a comic book website that gives you comic book reviews, previews, interviews and much more. In this roundtable discussion, the three men of steel discuss the strength and weaknesses about Zack Snyder's Superman reboot such as the cast, David Goyer's (with Christopher Nolan contributing to the story and serving as a producer on the project), script, the seed that has been planted for the so called DC Cinematic Universe and more. Also included in this episode is the thoughts of Matt Sant

Across The Airwaves Episode 132 (Standard) "Fireworks"
08/07/2013 Duración: 01h25minHey ATA Listeners, with this week containing the 4th of July, the writers of our favorite Summer Shows seemed inspired to light off some fireworks as the penultimate episode of Warehouse 13 introduced Anthony Stewart Head as the Season 4 Big Bad Paracelsus, Falling Skies had the Second Mass finally confront Karen's control over Hal and Continuum had Keira reached her breaking point over the trauma of being sent back in time against her will. Although, that wasn't the only excitement to light up the night sky in our discussions on this week's ATA as our Airwaves Rundown section included Woo being frustrated over the apparent cancellation of The Goodwin Games, Nico and I wondering what's up with the strange use of music at the end of Defiance episodes and Nico reviewing the second episode of CBS's new hit Summer Series Under the Dome. Oh and for those of you looking for the most explosive Summer Series of them all Burn Notice, we didn't have a review this week because it was off due to the Independence Day H

Across the Airwaves Episode 131 (Standard) The Search for Immortality
02/07/2013 Duración: 01h28minHey ATA Standard MP3 Listeners, on this week's podcast we review episodes of our favorite Summer Shows where characters are searching for their immortality or in the case of Warehouse 13's Season 4 Big Bads want to take after the popular Bon Jovi song "I Don't Want to Live Forever". As for our other favorites they fit right in with this theme as Defiance used a murder mystery to breathe life into the series' future, Falling Skies threw Tom and Pope into a fight for survival in the wilderness, a innocent man learns about what it means to have superpowers the hard way from a suit similar to Keira's on Continuum and Burn Notice has Michael learn that being a hardened spy doesn't necessarily keep you alive when hanging out with your old pals from Russia. Also News with Nico delivers some huge TV casting news and we've got more from the section that will never die, the Airwaves Rundown covering the Goodwin Games along with two new hit summer shows CBS's Under the Dome and NBC's Crossing Lines. So with it being th

Across The Airwaves Episode 130 (Standard) Asks Why Can't We Be Friends
25/06/2013 Duración: 01h33minHey ATA Standard MP3 Listeners, this week's episode asked the question why can't we all just get along as this week's reviews of our favorite Summer Shows featured individual characters or groups of people that were fighting but really all should just just be getting along. First off, Warehouse 13 took us to a Gated Subdivision where somebody decided to not be so neighborly using an artifact to create some strange happenings followed by Defiance having a viral quarantine drawing a bigger rift between Nolan and his alien daughter Irisa. Then things got heated on Falling Skies between the people of Charleston and what's left of the original United States over the Volm being an ally, Continuum set Liberate's gang war as a backdrop to Keira clashing with Alec over being tempted with riches by Kellogg and the final season of Burn Notice having Sam get frazzled by just how far Michael will go to keep his friends protected from the CIA. Although, don't worry with all the fighting going on between the characters o

So with all that heat, what are you waiting for? Jump in the pool by clicking the links to the episode below because the water is just fine on a Summer full of fun from your favorite hosts here at A

11/06/2013 Duración: 01h28minHey ATA Listeners, this week's podcast is going to be slightly different as Dan is on Vacation and Nico takes over the podcast for the week and brings in some new faces and some old favorites to help him guest host and review the shows this week. As a special treat, Nico's father, Bill Reifsteck, joins us for a great discussion about the shocking and bloody Red Wedding on this week's Game of Thrones. Then Michael joins Nico to discuss the two-hour Season 3 Premiere of Falling Skies where they discuss the major changes since season 2, the 7 month time jump, they hypothesize about who the mole in the Second Mass might be and come up with some great theories about where the creepy baby story might be going the rest of the season. Across The Airwaves Episode 127 (Standard) will Psych You Out in the End!
04/06/2013 Duración: 55minHey ATA Listeners, this week's podcast is going to be one of our biggest and longest episodes ever as we review every show that is going to be on TV this Summer! Psych, just kidding! Okay, most of you long-time listeners probably saw that coming from a mile away as we cover a lot less programming over the summer but believe it or not due to the Memorial Day Holiday, this week's episode, ATA 127 if you're keeping count, only reviews five shows this week, the Season Finale for Psych, which is covered by Nico and myself and a Rundown Section featuring Family Guy, Simpsons, the penultimate episode of Revolution covered by Michael and the introduction of the Goodwin Games reviewed by Woo in an extremely shortened Airwaves Rundown Section. However, for those of you disappointed for feeling shortchanged with this ATA episode, never fear because ATA will return after my vacation from June 4–11th covering double the Game of Thrones, Warehouse 13, Defiance, Revolution's Season Finale, Burn Notice, the new season of F
