Hello Avengers! Welcome back to Across the Airwaves' Road to The Avengers commentary campaign! If you're here for the first time, check out our commentaries on Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, and Thor! They're all just as fun. However, in my honest opinion, I think that our commentary about Marvel's First Avenger (see what I did there?) is our best one yet. They named this great Nickelodeon series Avatar: The Last Airbender. During their time on the air, the adventures of Avatar Aang accomplished many remarkable things. But sadly, after an outstanding series finale and a god-awful live-action movie adaptation his time in this world came to an end. Hello faithful Smallvillians and ATA...ians? I don't really know, but WELCOME BACK!!!! Sorry we've been away so long, it won't happen again (well, not until summer hiatus, and winter hiatus, and spring break of 2013...). On this special come-back episode of Retro Reviews, I, Michael J. Petty, and two of my favorite people to work with, Woo S. Kim (who I host this show with regularly) and Dan Schmidt (who I do weekly reviews on DC Nation/Smallville Season 11 with, check those out here). Hey ATA Listeners, with this week's episode I'm proud to say that it contained some great emotional insight from Nico and I as we reviewed this week in television. However, this came at a price as Nico had to suffer through what he thought was a bad Monday night of television based on Castle acting completely out of character of the most recent episode and the birth of Bones' baby being done in a way that made the show a shadow of its once great former self. Again, I attributed these issues to Castle gearing up for an epic season finale and Bones recovering from an insanely long hiatus but from Nico's status he was just not happy, which is fine because as our good friend Bryan Q. Miller says everyone is entitled to their own opinion on a piece of creative work. In fact,  Nico's rant as we'll call it was all in good fun as we both got a good laugh after it was all over with on this actual episode but that does not mean his points didn't have merit behind them.  Plus, compared to Monday, the rest of the week i

Hey ATA Listeners, on this week's episode we are riding the storm out as we wait for the fallout caused by all the emotion, drama and surprises leading our favorite shows to their season finales. On one side of the spectrum we have Castle and Person of Interest dealing with emotional differences between lead characters and on the other side we've got Once upon a Time, Fringe and Supernatural widening their overarching stories to a whole new perspective  where a character on one of these shows was brought back in a way that we thought was unimaginable. Heck, Community even got in on the storm leading up to season finales as it set up a pillow versus blanket Fort fight between Troy and Abed. As for Breaking In, The Big Bang Theory and Psych, I would classify them as the eye of the storm since they were much calmer on the conflicts this week compared to our other favorites but their episodes were still worth talking about as they covered topics in geekdom Nico and I love like Star Trek and Indiana Jones. Hey ATA Listeners, this week's episode features reviews of our favorite shows where one of the main characters was in need of some love. Once upon a Time gave us a story where Snow White  in need of a cure to a potion that made her incapable of expressing love, Castle as always was chasing after Beckett,  Breaking In's Cam was in need of a grand romantic gesture to hook up with Melanie and in the Fringeverse Olivia was willing to sacrifice her memories for Peter to be in love with her. However, romantic love wasn't the only thing some characters were looking for as we also got some buddy love as Dean reuniting with Cass allowed them to work out their differences on this week's Supernatural and Psych's Shawn and Gus proved that they can maintain their lifelong best friend chemistry  even though Shawn having his appendix removed delegated him to solving the mystery through an iPad. Plus, on top of that we got some really fun romance between Lassie and his jailbird girlfriend Marlowe. Then again, the only show

Hey ATA Listeners, I know the introduction to this episode says that ATA 75 is all about reviewing all the content that made up this week's DC Nation and our favorite live-action shows that are currently airing new episodes but we discovered that covering both of these sections made this podcast way too long.  So to make keeping up with our show much less daunting for you loyal followers out there, we've decided to separate our reviews of DC Nation, which focus on Green Lantern The Animated Series, Young Justice and DC Comics Animated Shorts into its own separate ATA Podcast Spin–off.
