In 1997, Grant Morrison had created the book "JLA", no longer The Justice League of America, in DC Comics. And the story arc from issues 10-15 was "Rock Of Ages". A two part story wehere half the team had to deal with Lex Luthor's Injustice Gang in present time that were in control of an evil mirror league that was terrorizing and killing civilians, and the other half is shot into the future to deal with an all powerful Darkseid that has enslaved the world. Both events tie directly into the other and if the JLA succeeds it could mean the end of us all.
