Welcome to the Vikings Postgame Report. The Minnesota Vikings fell to the Los Angeles Rams 30-20 at Sofi Stadium on Thursday Night Football. The Vikings and the Rams started off the game by trading a couple of touchdowns each in the first half. Will Reichard hit two field goals for the Vikings, one in each of the 3rd and 4th quarters. Matt Stafford led the Rams by hitting WR Demarcus Robinson for 2 touchdowns and L.A. wrapped up the game with a safety of Sam Darnold late in the 4th quarter. Sam Darnold finished 18-of-25 passing for 240 yards, and 2 TD's. Darnold's touchdown throws went to Josh Oliver and Trent Sherfield Sr. respectively. Aaron Jones led the Vikings rushing attack with 58 yards and Justin Jefferson had 8 receptions for 155 yards. Will Reichard remained perfect with 2 successful field goals and 2 PAT's on the night. Welcome to the Vikings Postgame Report. The Minnesota Vikings fell to the Detroit Lions 31-29 at U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday. The Vikings started out hot, jumping out to a 10-0 lead early in the 1st quarter. Detroit then scored the next 21 points in the 2nd quarter to regain the lead. The Vikings and Lions traded points in the second half, including a 35-yard scoop-and-score by Ivan Pace Jr., which gave the Vikings a 29-28 advantage deep into the 4th quarter. Detroit kicker Jake Bates iced the game with a 44-yard field goal with 19 seconds remaining and the Vikings lost for the first time this season. RB Aaron Jones and WR Justin Jefferson scored the Vikings touchdowns in the game and kicker Will Reichard stayed perfect once again this week. QB Sam Darnold threw for 259 yards, had a TD pass, an INT, and took 4 sacks. Defensively, Andrew Van Ginkel had 2 sacks, while both Jonathan Greenard & Ivan Pace Jr. recorded a sack each. The Vikings started fast and ran out to a 28-0 lead in the first half. Green Bay scored the next 22 points and made it interesting deep into the 4th Quarter. Will Reichard hit a 33-yard field goal with 6:05 to play, the Packers added a touchdown in the final minute, and the Vikings recovered the onside kick to seal the victory. Sam Darnold finished the day 20-of-28, for 275 yards passing, 3 TD's, 1 INT, and added 17 yards on the ground. Aaron Jones led the rushing attack with 93 yds on the ground and 46 yards through the air. Justin Jefferson pulled in 6 catches for 85-yards and a touchdown to lead the Vikings receivers. Defensively, Kamu Grugier-Hill, Shaquill Griffin, and Byron Murphy Jr. picked off Jordan Love once each.
