Part 13 - "What story is that, Charlie?" With so many avenues left open to explore, Part 13 chooses to dwell in the lives of our favourite Twin Peaks residents as they circumnavigate the worlds in which they reside. Sarah seems stuck in a loop; similarly, Big Ed, Norma, and James circle back to their starting positions, as if the last twenty five years hadn't changed a thing. Meanwhile, Audrey remains trapped...where? And DougieCoop's amazing ability to avoid danger proves useful once again. It's a jam-packed Part, and so it's a jam-packed episode of Bickering Peaks! Part 5 - Case Files. Our first venture into a weekly one-hour segment of The Return, we found a lot to discuss, consider, and marvel at in this short segment. Aidan waxes philosophical about the unique American-ness of the show, Lindsay marvels at Bob's return to the scene, and we both love the Buckhorn CSI's stand-up material. Between new characters and the returns of some older ones (not to mention some gold shovels), there's plenty to discuss and consider in Part 5 of the new Twin Peaks. Part 3 - Call for help Part 4 - ...brings back some memories The second set of back-to-back episodes (aired on May 28th but previewed on Showtime online and various other streaming outlets worldwide on May 21 immediately after the two-hour premiere) blew our minds with its astonishing visuals and sound design that truly immersed you in the world the characters were inhabiting. Largely following the Good Dale through his journey away from the Red Room, we meet a number of new characters and see many faces we remember as the mysteries of The Return continue to unfold. Part 1: My log has a message for you Part 2: The stars turn and a time presents itself In the dazzling first two hours of The Return, we pick up the very loose and frayed dangling threads from Season 2, discover more about the nature of the Red Room, and meet a number of new and baffling characters as we get thrown into a murder mystery with a touch of the supernatural. (Sound familiar?) If you were expecting a return to the comfort of coffee and donuts and cherry pie, this most certainly ain't it...it's Twin Peaks: The Return, and it's here to totally blow our minds!

Fire Week With Us concludes with our look at The Missing Pieces, which were included as part of The Entire Mystery Blu-ray set. We examine them for their impact on the film and the wider Twin Peaks universe, and some actual bickering ensues, don't miss it!* Also on the docket is a look at the "Between Two Worlds" featurette that was also loaded on The Entire Mystery. Part 4 of our Fire Walk With Me dedication is a quick return to the film, and series, through the eyes of one of our Twin Peaks neophytes, Olivia. We rejoin her and husband Aaron for a chance to see the start of the series under the cloak of Fire Walk With Me as a true prequel. How does the Pilot compare to the film? How does the tone shift? What about some of the characters? And most importantly, can you still fall in love with the town of Twin Peaks after first being exposed to it through the close-up of Laura's brutal murder? The first installment of our five-part look at Fire Walk With Me begins with the Deer Meadow portion of the film. FBI Special Agents Chet Desmond and Sam Stanley are called in to investigate the murder of Teresa Banks, a drifter whose body washed up on the shores of Wind River. What they discover leads them to believe this is more than your average whodunnit. We're also introduced to the J Edgars in Philadelphia--Gordon Cold, Albert Rosenfield, and Dale Cooper--and meet the mysterious Philip Jeffries, who has a lot to say about a meeting above a convenience store that he claims to have attended... Strap yourselves in, Peakies, because we're getting down to brass tacks with this penultimate episode of Twin Peaks: it's 2x21 "Miss Twin Peaks". As everyone in town gears up for the Miss Twin Peaks contest, Windom makes final preparations in the woods. Luckily for our intrepid Eagle Scout investigator, Leo has a change of heart and frees the captive Major Briggs, who returns with stories to tell. It all leads to the night of the festivities, and with so many women vying for the crown (and Windom waiting in the wings) it's all hands on deck for a showdown of epic proportions.
