While it didn't dominate our episodes, 2022 saw the return of topics that originally dominated this podcast! We used to talk about comic books much more than we have currently, and 2022 brought a return to the good ole comic books! A part of this episode is a look back at our favorite comic books of last year! PLUS, while we don't talk about them a ton during the podcast, they are always lurking in the background. Every time we get together to record, we take a look back into our past. Whether it's a TV show, or an older movie, we always want to look into our past in order to reminisce about something. Sometimes those things are good to take a look back at, and sometimes they are exactly the opposite to what we remember. 2022 was chalk full of of these types of subjects!! Today's episode is all about taking a look back at the at the times that we took a look back............. We not only talk about some of the PCC's that we watched, but we also choose our favorites from that list. We're back at it again! Still taking the time to wrap up the year 2022!! Trust me, the news of 2023 stuff is coming, but we want to take a few episodes to look back on how 2022 treated us! Aside from the end of the year, it was a pretty good year! For this episode, we're talking about our favorite TV shows of the year, as well as some runner ups, and we take a look at some lists that have been written online. There was so much good TV this year, that it honestly was such a hard choice to make! Especially because we had some late contenders in the year, like Wednesday. It's always something that I think about throughout the year, as it's happening, and just when you think you have your choices, something comes along in October, or even December, and you have to rethink everything! We, of course, talk about what our favorite film of the year was, but we also talk generally just talk about some of the other films that came out in 2022 as well. There are a few times in history, where a popular IP will try and put out a holiday special, to try and give the fans more of whatever that IP is. Well, there haven't been many of those that were good (if any), and so there were many people who were afraid that this Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special would be more of the same, when it comes to holiday episodes/movies. "Star-Lord, Drax, Rocket, Mantis, and Groot engage in some spirited shenanigans in an all-new original special created for Disney+." What do you give your best friend who you know has everything that he's ever wanted? Well, Drax and Mantis think that Quill deserves something special. They think that he deserves to have the greatest hero of all time for Quill to open up during their Christmas celebration! That hero is of course, Kevin Bacon! Watching Drax & Mantis get drunk, while trying to kidnap Kevin Bacon, is hilarious, and you know calamity ensues for sure! This is definitely worth the, less than an hour, family break on Christmas!!

We're going way back in time for today's episode! Not back in our time though, back in time chronologically in the Star Wars universe! Today's topic is a prequel to both Rogue One, and the original Star Wars A New Hope! We are of course talking about the newest series, and the fourth live action series in the Star Wars universe, Andor! "Season 1 (2022) No. Five years before the Battle of Yavin, Cassian Andor looks for his missing sister in the industrial planet of Morlana One. While investigating, Cassian is antagonized by two officers." This series/season tells the story of Cassian and his escapades as a spy, trying not to get himself or anybody he loves killed. We get to learn a lot more about this universe that hasn't really been able to be told in the movies. That's what I love about expanded universe tv shows. Here we are at the end of something that, for the last eleven years, has brought a lot of joy, and yes some heartbreak to a lot of fans lives. The Walking Dead has been a tradition for a lot of peoples' Sundays for a long time now, even if some of those Sundays left us with tears in our eyes. The Walking Dead has come to an end, and we're here to talk about the very last episode of the series. ""Rest in Peace" is the series finale of the post-apocalyptic horror television series The Walking Dead. The twenty-fourth episode of the eleventh season and the 177th episode overall, it aired on AMC on November 20, 2022, and was simultaneously released on the streaming platform AMC+. The circumstances under which we found ourselves in the Black Panther sequel were completely unfortunate, but the popularity of Black Panther guaranteed that there would be a sequel, with or without Chadwick Boseman. The ship was much harder to steer without him, but we're talking about that sequel today, Wakanda Forever! "Queen Ramonda, Shuri, M'Baku, Okoye and the Dora Milaje fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T'Challa's death. As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with Nakia and Everett Ross to forge a new path for their beloved kingdom." There is so much that is going on with this film. The exit of Chadwick, the introduction of the newest Black Panther, the introduction of Namor, but there were many smaller subplots that were all branching out. You should definitely watch the movie in order to decide whether you think it was too much, or perfect, but there is definitely much about the movie that you need to pay a

1996 was the year of the aliens!! Independence Day came out this summer, in a race to beat our topic, to the theaters. The Independence Day creators never thought that they would be taken seriously if they made their movie come out after Mars Attacks! So, we were treated to both movies that year, and we are talking about the sillier of the two movies! Are you a fan of time travel? Are you a fan of time travel series that are actually about time travel, plus have a really good storyline that strings everything together? If you are, then The Peripheral is the show for you! "After completing a dangerous mission, the repercussions inadvertently affect her life in her current world. She becomes wanted by multiple parties, but must seek answers in the future to save herself and her family. Expect time-travel, heists, AI and espionage throughout this action-packed series." I had absolutely nothing to go off of when I first saw the advertisements for this show. The ads just looked really cool, and I thought it was something that I should watch. Now, imagine my surprise, as a huge time travel fine, that this series was a time travel series. Add in a bit of some spy stuff, a bit of some action from former military men, and you've got yourself a pretty unique and exciting show. I'm not quite sure how anticipated today's topic of choice was when it was first announced, but it has caught so much steam since it's arrival! Generally neither of our team is huge Addams family fans, but man is this not your typical Addams family story!! We are of course talking about the Netflix series, Wednesday! "Wednesday's cold, emotionless personality and her defiant nature make it difficult for her to connect with her schoolmates and cause her to run afoul of the school's principal. However, she discovers she has psychic abilities that allow her to solve a local murder mystery." Apparently, at the end of the day, it was the rest of the family that really annoyed me about the Addams family. Wednesday is fantastic on her own, and this series is definitely a must watch! The world needed a hero.............they got Black Adam! This was one of the more anticipated movies in the last couple of years, on the DC side. The reason I say that, is because DC is going through some major changes, and so many people were looking for Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson to change all of that with the debut of his super hero, and with the debut of the film, the Black Adam! "In ancient Kahndaq, Teth Adam was bestowed the almighty powers of the gods. After using these powers for vengeance, he was imprisoned, becoming Black Adam. Nearly 5,000 years have passed, and Black Adam has gone from man to myth to legend. The subject of today's episode came as a surprise release to most people, but ended up being a very fun surprise for everyone!! They labeled it a "special presentation" which we assumed just means that it's a "short" as opposed to being a full feature length film. We are talking about Marvel's Werewolf by Night! "It is the first Marvel Studios Special Presentation in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), sharing continuity with the films and television series of the franchise. The special was produced by Marvel Studios, and follows a secret group of monster hunters as they compete for a powerful relic while going up against a dangerous monster." This film clocks in at just a short 53 minutes. BUT, it does a lot of heavy lifting in that 53 minutes. The reviews for the newest versions of Halloween seemed to be relatively positive, and this was the one that was going to bring it home! We're talking about the trilogy ending, Halloween Ends! Evil, our topic for the day, has been such an entertaining series for the last few years! This season has been no different, and I think has been the best season so far!
