As we close out 2019 we take our annual look back at our year of ministry as a church. Join us as Pastor Glenn takes on a history lesson to discover what it truly means to be the church, to be the body of Christ in the world today.

In the third message of our Annual Advent Series we delve into the night of the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem. Truly another Cosmic Event but this time it's actually about who an angel of the Lord announces this amazing event to—shepherds. Join us as we discover the real reasons why Jesus came at that time and in that place!

Imagine you're a young woman, engaged to a man whom you're looking forward to marrying and a cosmic event happens. A being from outside of our world appears to you and says, "Plans have changed. God has a better plan for your marriage and life." This happened to a woman named Mary who would become the mother of the Son of God, Jesus. True story. Join us as we meet Mary and her story again.

Advent literally means 'coming or arrival' and at The Rock Church we celebrate the Christmas Season each year by looking back at the first Advent while looking forward to the second! Join us as we discover the reality of the first Christmas, that it was a series of truly Cosmic Events!

We continue in the Gospel of Luke 14:15-24 and the conclusion of the luncheon at the Pharisees' home. Jesus concludes with his most challenging parable so far. Quite the ending to this 'Dinner Party.'

We continue in the Gospel of Luke 14:7-14 and rejoin Jesus and His disciples as they dine at the house of a ruling Pharisee. Following His lessons on the Sabbath, this week our text concerns Jesus’ advice on how one should behave as a guest when invited to a dinner party, and how to be the better host of an awesome dinner party!

We continue in the Gospel of Luke 14:1-6 where we find Jesus once again dining in the home of a ruling Pharisee. If history tells us anything, you know that this can’t go well for the Pharisees.

We continue in the Gospel of Luke 13:31-35 as we hear Jesus lament over Jerusalem. After being warned by a Pharisee that his life is danger, Jesus responds with the words of man who has no fear. Listen or watch to find out why!

What happens when you die? Is that it? Jesus is asked a question that essentially deals with one of the most existential questions of them all, "Is there life after death and, if there is, will those who are saved be few?" Watch or listen as we discover the answer.

We continue in the Gospel of Luke 13:18-21 and one of Jesus' favourite subjects—The Kingdom of God. Watch and learn with us what Jesus says The Kingdom is, what it's like, who gets in and how it grows and expands today.

Join us as we discover from possibly the most challenging 5 verses in Luke's Gospel and the conclusion to one of Jesus' most powerful sermons, the definition of and need for change!

We're back in the Gospel of Luke and 12:49-53 where we find Jesus teaching some of his more challenging lessons. Rudi Botha brings the Word this week as we consider what Jesus wanted us to understand about why He came, what He came to do and why it matters.
